Just off I-40E east of the airport, my rates are LOW so you can save $$. I have 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths available for folks who want to stay for a month or more. All my rooms are quiet, private, and very comfortable. Here are the links to some rooms-- other pictures available upon request.. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/289242 https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/258817 https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/340081 https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/2710049 https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/319705 Some new public transport has opened up- see below. SPECIAL RATES for LONG TERM GUESTS. Just a note-- with several listings and rooms offered by friends and family, I almost always have openings that don't show on the calendar. Just inquire and I will help find a spot for you! We respond within minutes to your inquiries here. PLEASE wait for and respond quickly to our replies, so we can have good, clear, efficient communication from the beginning. : ) A month stay at the Morningstar House is a great way to make new friends and get settled and connected if you are planning a move to Nashville. Since my practice here is more like sharing my home, and less like a motel rental, I especially appreciate people who bring an open, cooperative, friendly spirit to the process. In a quiet wooded area near Percy Priest lake, we are still just 5 miles east of the Nashville Airport, (pickup available $10) , 15 minutes from downtown, and the Opryland Hotel area. I have an art room, activities for children, (my grandchildren live nearby) a Playroom where we've held house concerts, and many workshops, wireless internet, a wide selection of music. My space is ideal for artists, writers, or musicians, business people, travelers, people new to the city, or anyone wanting a getaway or just a fast, easy, comfortable place to sleep while on the road! NOTE: While my house is clean, it is not spotless-- the forks aren't a matching set, the refrigerator and cabinets are sometimes full of food (always for share!), the bars of soap are not individually wrapped like in a motel, the sheets and towels are clean- hung out in the fresh air to dry, but don't always form a matching set. : ) My grandchildren have made sure the carpet has a few light stains in the that won't come out, and i've collected books and things globally that adorn each room. Yes, i could part with some more of the "stuff" but for now, it's here for us to enjoy along with the relaxed friendly vibe in the house. There are supplies on hand for you to prepare food for yourself. I offer creative process coaching in expressive and healing arts. As a community artist for over 25 years I have an extensive network of creative friends doing interesting projects in and around Nashville. I can offer expressive arts/creativity sessions upon request. : ) I've done lots of traveling around the world, and learned the beauty and value of hospitality... I enjoy people and seek to provide guests in my home with support, nourishment for body and soul, information about the city, as well as honor needs for quiet and privacy. Please read my reviews and references, they will help you connect with the "spirit" of the Morningstar House before you get here. : ) The house is very spacious and guests are welcome to share the open space--- outdoor deck in the back, well-stocked kitchen, 12 places, (two tables) for sit down dining, a huge playroom with music and lounging space, front living room, washer/dryer, fenced in back yard and plenty of parking on the quiet cul-de-sac. I am open to interaction with guests and can be available for conversation, support for making the most out of your trip, some transportation, and expressive arts sessions if that is a desire. I am also available to connect guests with other guests or creative Nashville folk. I can also offer space, peace and quiet to guests who want that... Sometimes "less is more" when it comes to contact... : ) I'm very near the Percy Priest Lake, natural areas such as the Greenway, several restaurants, two grocery stores, as well as a short drive downtown to all the music and fun stuff Nashville has to offer. I'm just about 11 miles to downtown Nashville, about 15 minutes by car- almost all interstate so it's pretty quick except during rush hour. GOOD NEWS! A bus route to downtown has opened up to downtown just one mile from my house, and with the train- the Music City Star (the only train in the county) 2 miles away, and the newly opened LYFT car service, you can choose to be car-free! Often, both myself and nearby friends are available for ride sharing... I have several friends and family members nearby who are also opening rooms in there homes to accommodate guests. PLEASE INQUIRE EVEN IF IT APPEARS I'M booked up for your dates, I can almost always find a place for you! The NeighborhoodThe Morningstar House is in a quiet cul-de-sac with lots of trees, birds and wildlife.. The SpaceTurner Terrace is your place to stay in Nashville, Tennessee, whether for business or pleasure. The fully-furnished basement allows you to relax, rest and rejuvenate in a space that offers every amenity of a studio apartment except a stovetop. There is a small microwave to heat snacks and meals, and a refrigerator. Free Wi-Fi is provided. The space itself is large, allowing for plenty of room to spread out. Beyond offering a respite from Nashville's dizzying array of dining, shopping and recreational activities, the studio also provides quieter relaxation with a library of over 120 movies, an electronic dart board,* a variety of board games and over 150 books for you to peruse. A large table provides space for dining, playing games or piling your new Nashville purchases! Turner Terrace is very near the world-famous Grand Ole Opry, Opry Millls shopping, the beautiful and magnificent Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Resort, the historic Hermitage, home of President Andrew Jackson, Providence Marketplace, Long Hunter State Park, Nashville Shores water park, and fishing, boating and skiing on Old Hickory and Percy Priest lakes. That's just the beginning. 15 minutes away, downtown Nashville beckons enticingly with a carnival of options to see and do, from hearing music at the hallowed Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Arena, The Bluebird Cafe, the world-famous Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the brand-new Ascend Amphitheater and dozens of other popular venues. Take in the nightlife of Lower Broadway and The District of 2nd Avenue and Riverfront Park. Check out prized collections in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, the Johnny Cash Museum, the Tennessee State Museum, the brand-new George Jones Museum, the State Capitol building, the Musician's Hall of Fame, the Gallery at the only full-scale replica of the Parthenon of Athens in the world, and numerous other works ranging from galleries to street pieces. For many, Nashville is a sports town. Visitors may enjoy seasonal teams like the NFL's Tennessee Titans, baseball's The Nashville Sounds, the NHL excitement of the Nashville Predators and the excellent college football and basketball programs of Vanderbilt and Middle Tennessee State universities. We would be remiss if we did not mention the possibilities of the Nashville dining experiences available to visitors, whether your tastes lean towards the fine dining of The Catbird Seat or Etch, more casual but delicious fare such as Papa Turney's Barbeque, the legendary milkshakes at Elliston Place Soda Shop, the burgers at Brown's Diner, or that famed Nashville-originated dish, the hot chicken at Prince's or Hattie B's. Here for business? We are five minutes from Nashville International Airport. The sparkling new Convention Center is 15 minutes away in downtown, and we are close to a myriad of business conference rooms in the area. At the end of a day full of meetings and networking, escape back to the respite of Turner Terrace where you can regroup, go over the day's work, spread out with your computer and documents on the table, and strategize for the next day of business success. The highlight of the space, of course, is the 90" projector TV screen! Enhanced with 7.1 surround sound, the room is perfectly set for you to enjoy your favorite movies or live sporting events so that you will almost feel like you're at the cinema! The bedroom is decorated in a fun Road Trip/Route 66 theme. It offers a king bed, a book library and a 17" TV with remote. There is also ample closet and drawer space, and in cooler weather, an electric mattress warmer. The full bath continues the Road Trip theme and offers a basket of toiletries in case you've left yours at home. Towels provided. There is a patio outside that features seating and a fire pit, available for relaxing evenings. Please let us know in advance if you would like to use the fire pit, and we will provide materials to make a nice, crackling fire.* Our space can comfortably accommodate three people, with two in the bedroom and one sleeping on the sofa. Turner Terrace is located on a dead-end street with a cul-de-sac, so there is no excessive traffic to interfere with the comfort of your stay. *Not responsible for any injuries resulting from the use of the dart board, fire pit or any of the amenities of the property. Guest AccessYou have your own private entrance, with your own key. It is down a slope around the side of the house, but presents no problems if you have no mobility issues.* *The space is not wheelchair accessibile. Interaction with GuestsWe look forward to welcoming you to Turner Terrace. Generally, we will be on hand to greet you when you arrive to give you the keys and answer any questions you may have. If for some reason that isn't possible, we will make arrangements for you to check in privately. Once you arrive, you will be able to reach us via email, phone or text throughout your visit should problems or questions arise, and we want you to consider us your home away from home. Otherwise, we will be invisible! We live on the main and top floors, but it's not likely that you will hear us. Our privacy is important to us, and we respect yours, too. In addition, I am happy to help you plan your visit before you arrive, if you like. I can share with you insights about all the best places to visit and dine, according to your interests. If you'd like a tour of the Nashville area, I can point you to any of several touring companies here in town if you are interested. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood of Hermitage is a scant five minutes from Nashville International Airport. There is convenient Kroger grocery shopping, Walgreens pharmacy, gas stations, and a variety of restaurants within 2-3 minutes. The Providence Marketplace shopping area is eight minutes away, featuring Target, Pier One Imports, Old Navy, Dick's Sporting Goods, Walmart, Belk, Best Buy, JC Penney and many smaller boutique shops and restaurants. Providence 14 Cinema is also part of Providence Marketplace. If you like outdoor pursuits, we are within a few minutes of fishing and boating at Elm Hill Marina, a beach and slides at Nashville Shores water park with zip line courses, picnics and hiking at Long Hunter State Park and water skiing and sailing on Old Hickory and Percy Priest lakes. We certainly would never anticipate any health emergencies, but should one arise, Summit Medical Center, a full-service hospital including an Emergency Room, is two minutes away from Turner Terrace. In addition, there are at least four walk-in clinics in the immediate area, should you require minor medical attention. Getting AroundTurner Terrace is a mere 5 minutes from Nashville International Airport. Ground transportation is available from the airport, including car rentals and taxis. We are also Uber and Lyft drivers, and will be glad to help you get to your destination in the Nashville area. You may decide that having your own vehicle is the easiest way to get around, as Nashville does not have a strong public transit system. Taxis, Lyft and Uber are available and reliable, even under the same roof! Limousine services are also available. Be sure to ask us if you need additional information about any of these options. Other Things to NoteOurs is a non-smoking and non-alcohol property.

Many different varieties of birds live here as do squirrels and deer. A special treat is to rise early and greet the sunrise over to the East. Then in the evening, watch the wondrous sunset to the West. Getting AroundThere is some access to public transportation. A comfortable 30 minute drive to downtown Nashville opens up a variety of day trip possibilities. There are food and general markets within about 10 minutes. To the south of Nashville lies Franklin where many antique shops abound as well as Civil War history. The Music City Star commuter train can be boarded early weekday mornings and returns in the evening to the Mt. Juliet station. Downtown Franklin is one of my favorite spots and home to the Mellow Mushroom- its about 20 minutes from here. While there is nothing within walking distance, our town home is in a great location that you never have to drive too far to reach anything. Getting AroundOf course, you can rent a car for your stay and parking is free in our community. Uber and Lyft are great options if you don't want to be responsible for driving around. Other Things to NoteWe have a wonderful and absolutely adorable dog. He's a year and a half, part German Shepard, part Terrier. Full grown and 25 pounds of pure happiness and joy.
