Guest AccessThere is a breezeway that divides the main house from the guest house. The guest house is where you would stay. The breezeway has seating and a firepit. You are welcome to use the firepit. We use in on occasion. Interaction with GuestsSometimes you'll see us a ton, sometimes not at all. There are no shared walls, so most noise is not an issue. You would have your own entrance with a private lockable door. The NeighborhoodThis is a walkable family neighborhood-- 2 Blocks to the nearest grocery store (with a starbucks), 1 mile to the river/lake, 2 miles to whole foods. Getting AroundSeveral bus stops within 2blocks of the room. Zilker Park and Downtown -- ~ 30 min walk ( ~1 miles) Other Things to Noteoff-street parking is an option upon request.

The SpaceWe are proud to annouce that our South Austin Cottage has received it's Short Term Rental License #103471 from the City of Austin as required as of Oct. 1, 2012 by the City's Code Compliance Dept. This is a fully-furnished 1951 cottage with original wood floors in old South Austin. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom is immaculate and newly remodeled. The beds have organic cotton sheets and allergen free mattress and pillow covers. There is a large shaded backyard and a covered porch to get away from the sun and enjoy a cool breeze. There are plenty of restaurants and food trailers within walking distance. If you like listening to live music or shopping on S. Congress, S. 1st or S. Lamar, this is the perfect place for you. It is a short biking distance from Zilker Park and 1.5 miles to Town Lake. Restaurants/bars like Polvos, Jovitas, Freddie's Place, Habanero Mexican Cafe, G & S Lounge along with many coffee houses like the Green Muse Cafe and Fair Bean Coffee are less than a mile away. The Mercury Hall event center is also located less than a mile away. A bus stop is less than a block away if you need to venture out further. This home is located in a cool neighborhood that is ideal for folks visiting Austin for SXSW, ACL or just hanging out in Austin. Minimum stay is 3 nights No smoking/no pets.     Cute and comfortable guest room in our 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house. We are in a great location - just a 5minute drive (15 minute bus ride) to Downtown, South Congress, the East Side - all the best destinations in Austin! The bus stop is about a 50 foot walk from the house (very close) and has direct lines to all of the places just mentioned. The guest room has a comfortable queen bed, sofa, lamp and alarm clock, TV and blue ray/DVD player, and hangars in the closet. It also has a keyed-lock on the door, in case you feel more comfortable being able to lock up your belongings. The bathroom is shared with my boyfriend and I, but there are two showers. You do have your own shower (the tub/shower is the guest shower). Kitchen and living area is shared, as well as outdoor space. Feel free to use the backyard for a BBQ - that's one of our favorite things to do!

        The Daisy cottage has two bedrooms with a queen size bed in one and a bunk bed in the other. The lower part of the bunk is a full size bed the upper a twin. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room. Bring your whole family. It is the perfect cabin for a Girlfriends Getaway or a Sisters Retreat. The Daisy Cottage has central A/C Heat, TV, DVD, full kitchen with pots, pans, dishes. It has decks in every direction and sits on top of a hill among pine trees overlooking the miniture donkey, long horn cows and and distant pines. It is a perfect place for a family to relax and enjoy nature. The Daisy Cottage the largest with two bedrooms and a jucuzzi in the bathroom. Decks with views of the Lost Pines are off each bedroom and the living room. The Daisy Cottage is furnished with famly antiques. It has a full kitchen, TV with DVD (we do not have cable and TV reception is not good in the country), CD player, central AC/Heat. The Daisy is $195 a night for two with $15 per person per night over 2. (Be sure and ask about our discount offers on Daisy). There is a two night minimum stay in the Daisy Cottage. It is situated at the exit of William Cannon Drive and Interstate 35. It is a comfortable two story house of 1500 sq ft. The second floor has hardwood floors whereas the downstairs has a ceramic tile floor. The master bedroom is elegantly furnished with a comfortable queen sized bed, a dresser, chest of drawers. Coming for ACL, F1 or SXSW?, you've come to the perfect neighborhood - central access with the authentic Austin feel! Our house is a spacious, clean, convenient 4 bedroom/3 bath in Barton Hills neighborhood with over 3300 sq ft. We are within walking distance to Zilker park, Barton Springs pool, numerous local eateries, bars and coffee shops with convenient access to miles of greenbelt hiking and biking trails. We prefer to accommodate no more than 5 responsible, respectful adults however up to 6 can be negotiated. Master has queen bed, 2 bedrooms are twins and the last is a full bed.                                 The two bedroom, one bathroom “Kaleido House” is the largest property in the Zilker Vacations family. It features by far the most original art and colorful decor to go along with the spacious tall wood beamed ceilings. It has a 200 gallon soaking tub with dual shower heads in the cedar lined bathroom*. We've have a King in the master and two twin XL beds in the second bedroom that can also be made up as a king! There is a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room as well. So you've got options for sleeping arrangements! Enjoy looking at our large oak tree in the front yard from the wall of windows inside or out on the front covered deck. *Disclosure: the tub/shower is a little hard to get in and out of if you have disabilities, such as bad knees, and it wouldn't be convenient for bathing very small children, but we have a baby bath tub to use in kitchen sink available. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked and the living room is equipped with a queen sized pull out couch, full cable, Blue Ray player and of course wireless internet. There is now a 32" TV with Apple TV & Netflix in the master bedroom. We are pet friendly (pet fee applies) and this property is handicap accessible. There is a ramp up to the porch and the unit is single level. The bathroom is newly tiled and has a walk in, wheelchair accessable shower with a removable shower head and plenty of grab bars.                                     ABOUT THE MAIN HOUSE: The main house is a super cute, sunny, 3 bedroom 1 bath in Austin's South Congress neighborhood. The spacious open floor plan with adjoining living room, dining room/kitchen, set up makes it the perfect place to entertain. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances with double door fridge, gas stovetop/oven, dishwasher, and all the cooking utensils (plates, silverware, pots, pans, dishes, glassware etc.) you'll need. The main house is well appointed and has all the things you need for your stay (linens, towels, etc.) The sofa folds out to a queen sized bed and there is also a queen sized "aero bed" if you need additional sleeping quarters. ABOUT PRIVATE GUEST HOUSE: The property also has a private guest house equipped with a queen sized bed, SMART TV, Kitchen, private bathroom and large sun deck. The guesthouse is fully equipped with linens, towels, glasswares, dishes, pots, pans. This is the perfect spot for guests travelling with teenage children or in-laws--you can vacation together and still have some private space! WiFi INTERNET/WIRELESS SPEAKERS/CABLE! There is fast WiFi internet for guest use and we also have a 42 inch flat screen SMART TV (you can stream your Netflix, Pandora, etc.) with cable! We also have a wireless speaker (portable!) and Blueray DVD player. ABOUT THE ROOMS: There are 4 total bedrooms (including guest house) that sleep a total of 8. Three bedrooms have queen sized beds and the 4th bedroom has a trundle bed with two twin mattresses. We had a lot of fun decorating our bedrooms and we hope you enjoy them too! We've got something for the lovers, the cowboys and even rockers! ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD: The house is located in Austin's SoCo neighborhood. We are walking distance to Continental Club, Guerro's, Uncommon Objects, and all the fun on South Congress. There is also a H.E.B supermarket super close and tons of great bars, restaurants, cafes, and shopping nearby. POOL/HOT TUB/PATIO AREA The backyard has a newly installed pool and hot tub and also has an area to play wiffle ball, throw a frisbee or just chill out. There is also nice outdoor dining table with a.BBQ charcoal grill (check out the pics--I love our longhorn grill!) FUN STUFF/BICYCLES FOR GUEST USE: We have two beach cruiser style bicycles with helmuts for guest use. The house is also equipped with tons of games including: monopoly, connect four, chutes and ladder, candyland, Uno, GoFish, etc. We also have tons of backyard fun including bocce ball, Wiffle Ball, "Cornhole" ie (bean bag toss) Football, Basketball (no onsite hoop though), Soccer ball. PARKING/AMENITIES: There is plenty of onsite driveway parking available (4-5 cars) Plus there is plenty of street parking as well. There is also an onsite washer & dryer.
