The SpaceDaniel and I live in a 127 year old home. The house has 12 foot ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors, and a variety of rooms, however we've made it to function as a two-bedroom, two-bathroom, 2-living room home. About half of the house has been renovated, and we're constantly working on improvements, so excuse any messes. There is also a wooden deck that overlooks a beautiful backyard.
The guest bedroom has a queen-size bed, a closet, a dresser, a bookshelf, and a nightstand. The guest bathroom is cramped but complete. It has a claw-foot tub/shower, a toilet, and sink. We will have fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap for you.
We have two large but sweet dogs: a black lab and an Australian Shepherd. We also have four hens that lay fresh eggs (e.g. your breakfast), a rabbit (just because), and a cat. All the animals are free to roam around the back yard and the dogs and cat come in and out through the doggie door. If you have allergies or have a fear of animals, please let us know and we will do our best to accomodate. Guest AccessYou will have access to the living room, which includes the TV and computer. We do not have cable, but we have a large movie library and shows to stream online.
In your bedroom is a laptop for your personal use.
You will also be able to use the kitchen and any appliances, we just ask that you provide your own ingredients, but feel free to use any condiments and bulk items.
We have a washer and dryer you are free to use.
We also have two mountain bikes that can be used. Let us know if you would like to go for a ride so that we way we can get them ready for you.
You'll be able to use the deck, which has chairs and a table. Interaction with GuestsWe wish to make you feel comfortable, so if you simply want alone time, we can give you that, or we will be happy to show you around town if you wish.
You may join us for a meal if you like, or have your meals separately in the other dining room or go out to eat. The NeighborhoodWe live in an old historic area of Nacogdoches.
