The NeighborhoodOur community is nestled in the valley at the mouth of one of the most important canyons for outdoor lovers; American Fork Canyon. All outdoor activities are available; hiking, 4-wheeling, fishing, camping - either in campgrounds or rough-camping free of charge, the most beautiful mountain range is accessible only 10 minutes from our door. Also, this is snow-skiing heaven with the following ski resorts at your disposal: Alta, Brighton, The Canyons, Deer Valley, Snowbird, Solitude, Sundance and Park City.
Many comment that our central location has more good shopping available than any other area than previously experienced. Two miles south is the Grasslands shopping center with Costco, Walmart, Target, Kohls, Massage Envy, and dozens of well-know businesses, restaurants and banks. Two miles west (Lehi) is Cabela's mega-store and the new Tanger Outlet Mall, restaurants businesses and mega-plex movie theaters. There are 3 malls - 2 south and one north - and if you are a real shopping connoisseur - then you'll want to shop at the queen mother of all posh malls - the new City Creek Mall. It is an experience all on its own. There are limitless tours Temple Square where you can tour the top of the colossal Conference Center for not only an incredible (free) view of the city, but also tour the rooftop gardens. Afterwards you could experience some fine dining at the famous 'Roof' restaurant across the street with incredible views + a gourmet buffet.
Thanksgiving Point is a star attraction with museums, wedding venues, petting zoos, shopping and huge gardens. It is a wonderful place to spend the day.
There are lakes scattered all over the area with marinas and amenities.
If you bike - you have come to the right place! Our new Murdock trail system is a continuous trail through beautiful mountain areas that will take you from our home all the way to the mouth of Provo Canyon and beyond. This is one of the best improvements to the area as it provides a safe, beautiful trail to get out onto and enjoy the beauties of this area. The famous Alpine Loop is loved and used by bike enthusiasts consistently. It starts at the mouth of our canyon and winds all the way through the mountains, past Sundance Ski resort and back down into Provo Canyon (where you can pick up the Murdock trail to get back home.)
If you are a BYU fan, or a U fan, we are centrally located in between the two schools - where you can support and enjoy events at either or both venues.
If you are a foodie - you are in luck! The area boasts 3 culinary schools and every type of restaurant imaginable - Thai and Indian being a favorite.
If you are looking for culture, don't miss out on the fabulous events at The Capitol Theater, Hale Center Theater and CenterPoint Legacy Theater. The Utah Symphony performs at Abravanel Hall. The Utah Opera, directed by the talented Christopher McBeth has a full and wonderful schedule of upcoming performances.
Looking for something a little more relaxed? Lagoon Amusement Park will keep you busy and happy all day long with inventive and stomach-flipping rides, a huge water park and tons of eateries. The Hogle Zoo, Botanical Gardens, The Natural History Museum of Utah, The Living Planet Aquarium, Tracy Aviary, Airborne Trampoline Arena, The Tree House Museum, Red Butte Gardens, Historic Wheeler Farm, Discovery Gateway Children's Museum, The Leonardo Contemporary Museum, Seven Peaks Water Park and Boondock's Fun Center each make for entertaining outings.
If you are a sport's lover, get ready to lose your voice because there is always something going on with the Jazz, the fierce college rivalries in the area, the Bees and Real Salt Lake, BYU basketball game and the U's football. Even UVU is starting to put together some interesting teams.
There are local farmers markets, art festivals, the State Fair and other local outdoor celebrations throughout the summer months. Each city has their own celebrations - so check the calendar as these are some of the most interesting things to see and do to really get a feel for the people and the area.

If you have a chance, do a driving day-trip throughout the mountains and breathe in the gorgeous surroundings, for instance the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway SR 150. It is too difficult to describe the beauty of these areas in words, you just need to experience it. Spring and Autumn are especially gorgeous.
Plan ahead so that during your visit to this area, you are able to see all of the incredible things the area has to offer. Getting AroundThere is a train (The Frontrunner) that serves the area just off the freeway at the exit to our property (exit 284 for SR-92). It is a convenient way to travel into Salt Lake, Ogden, Provo or other places. This is especially helpful during large events like sporting events where parking and traffic could be inconvenient. If you go online to (URL HIDDEN) and easily plan your trip with the user friendly features that will connect you to in-city transportation on the rail line called 'Trax' and with the city bus lines throughout the Wasatch Front.
