The SpaceThe Book Nook Inn is the daylight basement in a split level home (with the owner in residence). It has three rooms available: 1) The Secret Garden Room, with a queen-sized bed, hooks for clothing, suitcase stand, loveseat, TV (currently no cable or local stations, but it is equipped with Chromecast for streaming), table and chair, and there is room to set up a queen-sized air mattress or pack-n-play as well. 2) The Treasure Island Room, with a king-sized bed, closet space, aquarium, and a seascape mural, and 3)The Three Musketeers Room, with a queen-sized bed, closet space, and of course swords on the wall.
The bedrooms are private space with keyed doors and the downstairs bathroom is shared by the three rooms. The "Book Nook" is in the hallway, with a selection of books for guests' enjoyment.
The living room and kitchen, upstairs, are available as shared space as long as its use has been requested in advance of arrival. This shared space is suitable for small groups (9 - 15 people fit comfortably) and works well for classes, workshops, retreats, etc. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the daylight basement at any time through a shared entrance, and the shared living space (kitchen and living room), by prior arrangement with the host.
Keys and/or an access code will be provided for entrance. Each bedroom is individually keyed. Interaction with GuestsI am available most weekends and on weeknights. If I am not right there, someone will be available to help you out, or I am usually just a text away. I gauge social interaction based on what my guests are comfortable with so I can leave you completely alone, or we can have a nice visit over a meal. The NeighborhoodWe are located in a quiet, older residential neighborhood within five minutes of I-15 and Hwy 6. There are shopping and dining options close by as well, including: Zupas, Kneaders, Huhot Mongolian Grill, Culvers, and our famous local drive inns Barry's (home of the best cheeseburgers in town) and Glade's (where the ice cream is locally famous), as well as a variety of other fast food options. We have Costco, Walmart, ShopKo, K-Mart, Macey's (grocery) for shopping. A small-town feel, with big town convenience, is what you'll find here. Check out the Guidebook for additional recommendations in the area. Getting AroundThe Book Nook Inn is located within about a half-a-mile of several UTA bus stops, which connect with both the Trax System, and the Frontrunner Train. Parking is available in the driveway and in front of the house. It takes about 15 minutes to get to Provo, and we are about 45 minutes from the Diamond Fork Hot Springs. Other Things to NoteGuest Book
I do have a little black (guest) book. Please sign in and share your favorite book titles. My goal is to fill the bookshelves with guests' favorites as well as my own. The book titles that are on the stairs and hallway wall are all family favorites. It was difficult to choose which ones made the cut.
