This Utah vacation apartment has something for everyone whether you ski, bike, hike or just enjoy the quiet solitude of our gorgeous mountains. The spacious apartment has 3 beds and sleeps 6 people. When you awake in the morning refreshed, you are only 15 minutes from Alta and Snowbird Ski Resorts or out your front door for a picturesque hike or bike ride. Visit our world famous, Park City, just a 30 minute ride away. After a busy day, enjoy the many delicious restaurants located in Cottonwood Heights, Sandy or take a short 20 minute ride to Downtown Salt Lake City for some of the amazing culinary offerings the city has to offer. Enjoying cooking in your large, beautiful kitchen. Getting AroundHaving a car is the most convenient. Salt Lake does have terrific public transportation, via UTA bus & Trax. Other Things to NotePlease note there are younger kids living in the house. If you require a quite place this may not be what you are looking for. It's typically quiet before 8AM and after 9PM. The SpaceMy private bedroom listed here is large with room to move about. The queen size bed will comfortably sleep two. The bathroom is private/semi-private and is right outside the bedroom for easy access. With the increase in guest choosing to stay with me during the winter months and conferences & activities I have listed one of my other bedrooms on an as needed basis. Therefore, depending on if there is another guest here at the time of your stay, there is a possibility that the bathroom may be shared between guest. Please let me know if this is a problem and I will accommodate your preference as best I can when you book. Please note I have 3 large dogs and 3 cats. I do my best to keep the animals out of the room when I don't have guest but if you have allergies this may not be the place for you! Guest AccessShared kitchen (I will make space available in the fridge for you just let me know!), fenced backyard with built in fire-pit, shared living room with large TV (please note I don't have cable any longer as we never used it also there is no TV in the bedroom) however Netflix, Hulu and the internet are accessible through the TV in the living room. Access to my laundry room with large front loading washer & dryer is available should you wish to wash some clothes while you are staying with me. Other family bedrooms of course are off limits. Interaction with GuestsI will be home during your stay along with my 3 children who are 23, 16 and 14 yrs old. I like to get to know people and am very outgoing but if you want your space I can give you that as well. Just let me know what you prefer ahead of time. The NeighborhoodNice older quiet neighborhood. My place is on a circle which makes it even quieter. There are great hikes near by, Park City is only a 30 minute drive and downtown is about 20 minutes away, all of which depends on traffic of course! Getting Around20 minutes away from the mountains, two Starbucks within 1.5 miles and mass transit (bus) access .5 miles away and our light rail system (which we refer to as TRAX) is 2 miles away which will take you downtown. I am at approximately 2000 East (Highland Dr) between 9400 South and 9800 South. If you don't mind walking to the 9400 South Park and Ride a half mile away then you can get around without a car but this option isn't for everyone and if you aren't familiar with mass transit you may prefer having your own transportation, just like at home! Other Things to NoteMy home is not overly fancy and there really isn't anything breakable left since I have 3 boys they've already taken care of that. We are a laid back family and enjoy having fun. My house is in the final stages of some remodeling, kitchen included and nearly done, but it's all fully functional (the room listed is not part of this) just a bit dated here and there and has signs of wear and tear from many years of life. My home was built in 1976! If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to ask whether it's before you come to stay or after you are here!

The ski buses # 992 (Alta and Snowbird) and #962 (Brighton and Solitude) stop is near our house. These buses are running only in ski season. The #220 bus stop is located a 1/4 mile down Little Cottonwood Rd. #220 bus rides directly to the University of Utah and SLC downtown. There is another local bus F94, which runs in Sandy neighborhood and have stop near our house, it delivers passengers to Trax station @ 9000 S. This bus does not provide service at Sat and Sun. The bus schedules can be (email hidden) website ************************************* Parking (one car per room) on the front yard is included. ************************************** Driving from airport is 20-35 min. Public transportation from the airport will take about 1:30 h. Take train from airport to downtown, change train in downtown in direction to South (Sandy) and at Sandy stop "9000 South" take ski bus 992 to East direction. This bus will take you to our house. Driving Directions to Our House: 1. From I-15: 1) Take exit to 9000 South uphill. 2) Stay on 9000 S, all the way up. 9000 S will become 9400 S after Highland dr cross-road. 9400 South is Little Cottonwood RD. 3) After crossing Highland Rd pass another 2 traffic lights, Little Cottonwood Road will make a sharp turn and our house will be on your left side near sign "12 mile." 2. From I-80: 1) Take I-215. 2) Take exit 6. 3) Continue to the East to Wasatch Blvd. 4) Pass a traffic light on crossroad with a Big Cottonwood rd. 5) Stay on Wasatch Blvd and pass another 2 traffic lights. 6) At the 3rd traffic light turn left to stay on Wasatch Blvd. 7) On the crossroad of Wasatch Blvd with Little Cottonwood Dr turn right. 8) Continue for 1.5 mile downhill and our house will be on your right side near sign "12 mile." 3. From I-215: Take exit 6 and follow direction #2. Other Things to NoteThe key of our house is that it has a direct way to the ski resorts (Alta, Snowbird) so you will not be lost on a road either you drive or take a ski bus; great location close to the canyons with beautiful trails (Little Cottonwood, Bells Canyon), parks, sport center and various stores; spectacular views over valley and mountains from all sides of the house; fresh air; wild life around the house (birds and deer all year round); clean and comfortable room with a fridge and cozy bedding; shared double shower; spacious parking and privacy. In response to our guests’ reviews, we have sufficiently updated our rooms along with cleanliness of the guest area. We allow no garbage and dirty things in the hall and shared bathroom.     This 3 Bedroom apartment is at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon in Sandy, UT. It is nicely furnished, very large (over 2500 s.f.), and close to restaurants, shopping, and Utah's best ski resorts. It has two large living rooms, making it extra nice for the kids and adults to have their own space after a fun day on the slopes. The kitchen is large and fully equipped to feed your gang after enjoying Utah's outdoor adventures. It has a large flat-screen TV, Cable, and Wifi. Little Cottonwood Canyon is where you can find Alta and Snowbird Ski Resorts. These world-class ski resorts are less than 10 miles from this apartment. You can also go to Solitude, The Canyons, Park City, and Deer Valley ski resorts, all within 45 minutes. You don't even need to get into your car for dinner. Within a couple hundred yards, you can walk to Japanese, Chinese, Indian, and Mexican restaurants. There is also a 7-11 you can walk to for those 24-hour-a-day cravings. Enjoy! Are the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Close to Alta and Snowbird ski resorts. Also, in town walking distance to Chinese, Japanese, Indian and Mexican Restaurants.       This spacious home (4000 sq. ft.) in Sandy has 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. There are two bedrooms that each have a king bed, 3 bedrooms that each have a queen bed and the remaining two bedrooms each have 2 twins (4 twins). There is also a queen futon in two of the three living areas. This home will sleep up to 16. There are two living rooms with fireplaces (wood is provided) and there is a pool table in the family room. It also has dining for 16, with a counter bar in the kitchen for 4, a kitchen table for 6 and an adjacent dining room with a table for 6. This lovely home features a private outdoor hot tub, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, pool table, big screen tv, satellite with all the movie channels, high speed internet (wireless), gas barbeque grill and a 2 car garage. This home is properly licensed for nightly rental. We also offer catering services, including on site Chef. The rates are very reasonable and the Chef is very professional. Just ask for a menu and rates and I will email it to you. We also offer discount lift tickets (Super Pass). These save from $10 to $20 per day per person, depending on which resort they are used at. They are good at all four of the local ski resorts (Alta, Snowbird, Solitude and Brighton). This is the best deal on passes that I know of, as I pass them on at my cost as a convenience to my clients. Just let me know how many you need and I will have them waiting for you at the home when you arrive. My rates are very competitive and if you stay for 7 nights, the 7th night is FREE. Sales tax of 13.1% is added for the nightly rates. In all of the above seasons, if you stay for 7 nights, the 7th night is FREE. There is a 2 night deposit to hold the reservation and the balance would be due 45 days prior to arrival. I accept Master Card, Visa, American Express and Discover. This lovely home is located in Sandy, just 1 and 1/2 miles west of the entrance to Little Cottonwood Canyon. It is just a couple blocks off of 9400 South, which turns into Little Cottonwood Canyon Rd. at the entrance. It is 7 and 8 miles to Snowbird and Alta and 10 and 12 miles to Solitude and Brighton. This is a great central location for skiing all of the local ski resorts. There are nearby super markets, restaurants, gas stations, shopping and other conveniences

I am not at home much so interactions with my guests will be minimal during the week just mornings and nights briefly. More likely on Sunday and Monday which are my days off. Quiet neighborhood with great neighbors. Within walking distance to the supermarket and close to plenty of attractions such as Megaplex theaters, Rio Tinto Stadium, and several ski resorts. Major bus route passes by the house. Also close to the light rail. Other Things to NoteMy girlfriend just moved in so I also have a cat at the house.

Unlike other listings in the area, this space offers privacy which condos and apartments cannot. Full kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge and all necessary kitchen essentials. Open-concept dining/living area on main floor with bar/stools, table, couch, and ottoman. Home sleeps 4-6 people. Queen size bed, full bed, and double bed. Couch is available for use as well. Owners live on same lot so accommodations, information, and assistance is readily available. This historical home is also near all the fun. Only a 15 min. drive to local Ski Resorts, Biking Trails (road/mountain), hiking trails, rock climbing, and lakes. Also within walking distance of the Rio Tinto Stadium, soccer fans can enjoy a quick stroll to the game. If you're in town for any of the interesting expos at the Sandy Exposition Center, you won't have to worry about parking. We are 0.8 miles from the fun. There are two TRAX stations, both within 0.5 miles, to make traveling to downtown Salt Lake simple! Interaction with GuestsOwner grew up close to the neighborhood. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop a few doors down from my house. Other Things to NotePark City is a 25 minute drive away, there are great outdoor concerts, art festivals and farmers markets in Salt Lake all summer long. Southern Utah (Zions National Park, Arches, Grand Canyon) are all great weekend trips.

Master and master bath on the top floor (the one you walk in) upstairs. 2nd bedroom and another full bath on the same floor [good for kids who want to stay close] 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths on the middle floor [good for kids/guests who way some space]. That floor has a wrap around couch, working area, access to a deck, and a mini kitchenette with small fridge, counter, microwave, and sink. Bottom floor has a huge two story basketball court and a 5th bedroom which is occupied by the caretaker for shorter stays. Guest AccessMonthly guests can have access to the entire house if desired. For weekly and shorter term rentals, the owner maintains sole access to and use of the 5th bedroom on the bottom floor of the house and one of the 2 full bathrooms on the middle floor. Interaction with GuestsFor shorter term rentals the owner may be present but given his knowledge of skiing in the Wasatch, he feels that's potentially a huge bonus (partially kidding). The NeighborhoodSafe neighborhood on a cul-de-sac in a safe neighborhood above Wasatch Boulevard next to Little Cottonwood Canyon. It's the closest you can get to the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon and still have a stellar view of the valley. Getting AroundThis comfortable neighborhood is a quick drive from "the greatest snow on earth" and excellent restaurants. Close access to Wasatch and I-215 provide pleasant, quick, and less stressful transportation to downtown, the airport, Park City, and everywhere else in the Salt Lake Valley. Close to Snowbird/Alta skiing in Little Cottonwood - 14 and 19 minutes. Half a mile from Little Cottonwood Canyon and 2.5 miles from Big Cottonwood Canyon. From the house is a quick drive to all the shopping and food in Sandy and Draper. Other Things to NoteThe finest skiing in the area is a quick trip; Snowbird is about 14 minutes away. Alta is about 19 minutes. Everyone's jaw drops when the basketball court. It really is that big. And the floor is top quality. After a busy day, it's a great way to cool down. For the younger folks with too much energy it's a great way to release all that energy no matter what the weather outside is.

Public transit does not run very late in Utah, but we are very close to bus stops and you can take Trax to visit downtown Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire house. Salt Lake had excellent public transportation, but like most western American cities things are very spread out so having a car is a good idea. If you cannot rent a car use a car service app. Salt Lake does have buses and light rail, but the service ends early on weeknights, so a car is recommended.

          The SpaceThis apartment is large, clean, and comfortable, but it is dated. Please do not expect something modern. Many of the walls are wall-papered from the 70's. Some of the rooms have old fashioned sculptured carpets. All that aside, I LOVE staying here my self, especially when planning ski outings to Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, Park City, and others close by. Getting AroundLocation of our house is moderately convenient for public transportation. The ski buses # 992 (Alta and Snowbird) and #962 (Brighton and Solitude) stop is near our house. These buses are running only in ski season. The #220 bus stop is located a 1/4 mile down Little Cottonwood Rd. #220 bus rides directly to the University of Utah and SLC downtown. There is another local bus F94, which runs in Sandy neighborhood and have stop near our house, it delivers passengers to Trax station @ 9000 S. This bus does not provide service at Sat and Sun. The bus schedules can be (EMAIL HIDDEN) website ************************************* Parking on the front yard is included. ************************************** Driving from airport is 20-35 min. Public transportation from the airport will take about 1:30 h. Take train from airport to downtown, change train in downtown in direction to South (Sandy) and at Sandy stop "9000 South" take ski bus 992 to East direction. This bus will take you to our house. Driving Directions: 1. From I-15: 1) Take exit to 9000 South uphill. 2) Stay on 9000 S, all the way up. 9000 S will become 9400 S after Highland dr cross-road. 9400 South is Little Cottonwood RD. 3) After crossing Highland Rd pass another 2 traffic lights, Little Cottonwood Road will make a sharp turn and our house will be on your left side near sign "12 mile." 2. From I-80: 1) Take I-215. 2) Take exit 6. 3) Continue to the East to Wasatch Blvd. 4) Pass a traffic light on crossroad with a Big Cottonwood rd. 5) Stay on Wasatch Blvd and pass another 2 traffic lights. 6) At the 3rd traffic light turn left to stay on Wasatch Blvd. 7) On the crossroad of Wasatch Blvd with Little Cottonwood Dr turn right. 8) Continue for 1.5 mile downhill and our house will be on your right side near sign "12 mile." 3. The house is very nice with a big yard, fully fenced backyard, new furnishings, and an exceptional amount of space and very clean. The house is also perfectly located. Only about 20 minutes from the airport, salt lake proper, and Snowbird & Alta just up the road. Close to two of the few State Liquor Stores, blocks away from Walmart, Smiths, Target, and Southtown as well as Fashion Place Mall. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood. Just blocks away from Falcon Park that includes large soccer fields, baseball fields and tennis courts, walking/jogging path that is all free to the public. The Recreation center is just up the road and offers swimming in the summer time at a very affordable price. The house is located just down the road from the mouth of the canyon with quick and easy access to miles of hiking and biking paths as well as two of the best ski and snowboard resorts in the world. The Real Salt Lake Soccer Stadium is just down the road if you are intrastate in catching a great soccer match or outdoor concert. The Sandy Amphitheater is just 2 blocks away and has great concerts in the summer. The River Oaks Golf Course a public course is just across the street and it also has an excellent driving range. The Willow Creek Country Club is just down the road and you can walk to the park and ride shuttle from the house to watch the tournaments are being held. Also the Alta View hospital is only 2 block away in case of any medical need or emergency.

              The SpaceRecently remodeled kitchen with a large fridge, oven, dishwasher, and microwave. Bathroom has a very large shower. There are two large bedrooms, though currently only one of them has the queen bed in it. The theater room includes a 90" theater screen with a powerful 1080p HD projector. We have a Roku with Netflix, and an Xbox 360 which can play DVDs and Xbox 360 games, and a DVD folder with a large DVD collection. There is a queen air mattress for another person, couple, or kids. Guest AccessGuests will enter through the private basement entrance on the west side of the house. Feel free to use the backyard. The NeighborhoodWe live near the mountains in a beautiful part of Sandy, a short half-mile summer-time walk away from Dimple Dell Park, a very large gully wilderness area with walking trails. We are close to both the Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons, which are a beautiful drive, and of course contain Utah's famous ski resorts, Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude. These canyons offer wonderful possibilities for outdoor fun, year-round. Deer frequent our neighborhood, especially in the winter, so drive carefully. We live a short distance from town, but our quiet neighborhood feels fairly non-urban with various horse properties nearby. The nearest grocery store is 1.3 miles away. Light-rail is 2.5 miles away, and an abundance of shopping and restaurants is roughly 3 miles away (about a 7-minute drive), as is the interstate. Downtown Salt Lake City is less than 30 minutes away. Getting AroundNo public transportation in the immediate neighborhood, so if you're flying in you're going to want a rental car or use Uber. Uber cost from the airport to us is $34-$45. Taking the TRAX light rail from the airport to the station nearest us takes an hour and only costs $2.50. You can then take Uber to us for only $5-$7. My guess, though, is that you probably want to rent a car while in Utah. Other Things to NoteWe have 2 little boys who are known to be boys -- you may occasionally hear them racing across the upstairs floor or calling out. The baby may cry, but is generally happy. Most guests have not found the living noises above the apartment to be a problem, but if you are particularly sensitive to noise, we wanted to let you know about them. The boys are generally awake between the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Their bedroom is on the opposite end of the house to the downstairs bedroom. Note that there is no tub in the apartment's bathroom, only a large shower.

              The SpaceThis is a 3 story house with 2 levels in the backyard. There are stairs so unfortunately we aren't the best option for people with bad knees and legs! Guest AccessYou'll have access to the whole house, sport court and yards. We are doing work in the garage, so it will be locked, but there is plenty of parking. The NeighborhoodWe live in the foothills, so the setting is gorgeous. It is very common to see deer, squirrels and birds. There are lots of places to quietly sit and enjoy. In addition, we are close to Living Planet Aquarium, Thanksgiving Point, Multiple ski resorts and hiking trails. We are 20 miles from down Salt Lake. 35 miles to Park City. This home is approx. 3 miles from the Little Cottonwood Canyon Park and ride (Alta, Snowbird) and 5 miles from the Big Cottonwood Canyon Park and Ride (Solitude, Brighton). Getting AroundThere is no public transit this far east except for the ski buses which you can catch at each Canyon park and ride. If you want to get into the various cities and to our neighborhood you will need a car or a driver. Within a couple of miles there are multiple Trax stations. You can park and ride into the city. Other Things to NoteThis house has lots of stairs. You will need to be able to negotiate stairs as there are no bedrooms on the main floor. In addition, we have a Malamute Husky and years ago, a cat. Both animals were inside/outside pets. We've had very few notifications of allergic reactions. However, If you are prone to pet allergies you may want bring medication just in case.

It's pretty quiet in the house during those times, but it can get hectic in the morning when everyone is getting ready for school, work, etc.

The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is in a prime location if you need access to Sandy City, Alta, Snowbird, Solitude and Brighton ski resorts. The Univ of Utah, Research Park and downtown SLC are about 15 miles. Liberty Park and Sugar House are about 11 miles. Downtown (approx 13 miles) offers an eclectic assortment of restaurants, bars, activities, shopping, sports, festivals, outdoor markets, and concerts. There are hiking and biking trails, and the skiing is most superb! Getting AroundThe Trax rail and UTA bus system are sources of travel. This is a popular biking area as well. You are welcome to borrow my bike. If I can help drive you somewhere, I sure will when my schedule allows for it - I am flexible. I can always help with directions! Other Things to NoteI have traveled to many countries and know how it feels to arrive in a new area. Hosts have been very helpful to me and I want to turn that around to you. If I can help you in any way, please just ask. I am open to all walks of life. I have 2 fun loving dogs and a cat.               The SpaceOur home is located near the end of a quiet street in a family friendly neighborhood near the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Shopping, dining, ski-shops, and a transportation hub are all within walking distance. Snowbird and Alta are only a 15-20 minute drive away. When you enter our home you come into the living room where we have a few vintage chairs and a cozy sofa around the fireplace. A classic LP record cabinet provides a fun ambiance as well. Three steps lead up to a formal dining room and fully equipped kitchen with breakfast nook. These three areas have hardwood floors throughout and share a vaulted ceiling that gives the whole house a very open and inviting feel. The upper floor hallway to the master (King) bedroom and kids' (Twin) bedrooms is a couple of steps up to your left, along with the main bathroom. Doors off of the kitchen and dining rooms lead to the rear deck and stairs down to the back yard. The deck has two tables for outdoor seating, a gas BBQ, and an incredible view of the mountains. A great place to sip coffee and watch the sunrise (or sunset). Stairs to the lower floor are just inside the entrance to the home. The lower floor is a ground level daylight basement with plenty of windows and a door to the back yard. At the base of the stairs is the playroom. We have three boys aged 3, 7, and 11 so this room is well stocked with the kind of toys you would expect for that group. The playroom also has a fold-up Beddinge futon/sofa that is seriously the most comfortable sofa-bed I have ever slept on. To the right is the TV/game room with two couches and a large flat-screen TV with XBOX/BluRay, PlayStation, Wii, DVD/VCR, and plenty of games and movies as well as Xfinity On-Demand, Hulu, and Netflix that you are free to use. This room also has a very fun side-by-side basketball game and a closet full of board games. To the left downstairs is the lower bedroom (Queen) with a large picture window, walk-in closet, and spacious bathroom with shower. Off of this bedroom is the laundry with washer and dryer that you are welcome to use during your stay. In the backyard is the swimming pool and whirlpool (closed mid-Oct through mid-April), a stand-alone 7-8 person hot tub jacuzzi, wood-fired BBQ, and separate dining deck/arbor with table and chairs that seat 8. Guest AccessCheck-in instructions: check in is at 4pm. Please no early check-ins without advance approval. We will meet you when you arrive to give you the keys, show you around the house and answer any questions. If we are out of town, our neighbor will greet you. Please be careful not to lose the keys. There is parking space for two cars in the driveway and one more on the street. Please stay clear of the mailbox or garbage cans. As this is our primary residence, we will be storing personal belongings in the garage during your stay so it will be unavailable. Check-out instructions: check-out time is 11:00am. If you need to leave sooner, please coordinate with us. Please observe the following check out procedures: - Place all towels in laundry basket on top of dryer - Leave linens on the beds - Place all trash/recycling in dumpsters/bins outside - Start dishwasher if dirty dishes - In winter, turn heat to 60 degrees, in summer turn off cooler. - Turn off all lights, fireplaces, and fans - Close all windows - We will meet you at 11:00 (or other agreed time) to collect the keys and a brief walk through to ensure there are no damages.                 This property is so upscale Tripadvisor doesn't even have a category for some of the features such as a 1,500 sq ft sport/basketball court, a theater room that seats 10, outdoor gas fire-pit and top of the line BullFrog Spa. This space is the bottom floor of a 11,250 sq ft mansion with a separate entrance. Its 3,900 sq ft, plus a 1,500 sq ft sport court. The pictures listed are all the bottom floor and are exclusively yours to use while staying here. Although its the bottom floor, its not an underground basement, its a fully walk out floor with seven glass doors. There is plenty of room for extra children to spread out and sleep on four twin mattresses and fold out pads.

One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has a queen bed with twin bunk beds. The main area has a queen size pull-out sleeper couch that can fit one or two people. Fully equipped kitchen. Laundry room, soap is provided that you're welcome to use if you'd like to do laundry. There is a private entrance and garage parking so you don't spend your mornings scraping ice off your car. Amazon fire TV and local channels are available on a 55" TV. Port-a-crib, highchair, and toys available on request to make your little ones comfortable. While the resorts are close, there is also much to do nearby such as shopping, restaurants, bars, movie theaters, children's museums, aquarium, etc. Downtown SLC is approximately 20 minutes by car and Park City is approximately 40 minutes by car. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop located a half mile from our home, but we recommend renting a vehicle to get around. Our recommendation is to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle, if visiting in Winter, as this is needed to get up the canyons. Guests have private entrance to a beautiful downstairs apartment, and full access to 2000 square foot Trex deck where an 8 person hot-tub awaits tired muscles after enjoying your easy access to our beautiful Wasatch mountains and Canyons. The space also has its own private washer and dryer. An INDOOR basketball court is located in the home! Seriously, it is as cool as it sounds. Right now the owners have a 15 foot trampoline also in the space. There is also a full Billiards table within the apartment space. At this very moment, there is a bunk bed in the second bedroom (bottom double bed, top single bed) and another double bed along side, and a Double bed in the first bedroom. If you require a larger or different configuration, please let us know and with enough notice we can make most things work. We also have a large couch in the family room, if you needed to sleep an extra body or two, and are even happy to offer our air-mattress if need-be (actually very comfortable). The home is located in a prestigious gated community which boasts a huge community pool, lighted tennis courts, and lighted basketball courts, as well as sand volleyball, kids play area, and an extensive trail system within the community. The community is located directly off of Wasatch Blvd (the road that runs along the base of all the major canyons in the Salt Lake area - quick access to Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude, and only 45 minutes to Park City). The home is conveniently located 25 minutes from the Salt Lake International Airport. It truly is an amazing place with so many things right at your fingertips. Moab, Zions, Lake Powell are mere hours away and World-class Skiing/riding are but minutes from your doorstep. Professional soccer matches (Real Salt Lake) are 10 minutes away, Professional basketball (The Jazz) are 25 minutes away, theaters, music venues, shopping are all nearby. Guests can gain entrance to their private apartment through two different methods: going to the North end of the home through the large main gate, where you can walk through the backyard and up the small set of steps to your private french doors; going to the South end of the home and going through the small wooden gate to gain entrance to the amazing Trex deck - follow the deck until you come to the set of stairs leading down to your private french doors. We want you and your family/group/friends to love our home as much as we do, so please do not hesitate to ask for anything. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is incredible. There is a paved trail system that weaves its way all the way through the neighborhood for great biking/walking/jogging. The community pool is spectacular, and offers dedicated swimming lanes, a spring-board diving board, and a graduated kids depth area - there is also a hot tub. With lighted Tennis and basketball courts, and a kids park all in the same area - you never have to leave the community to be active and enjoy the Wasatch mountains just beyond the gates. There are guard gates at each of the two entrances. You will need to give them the address of the home you are staying in and your names, and make sure you come through the "guests" lane so the guard can check you in. You will need to do this each time you enter the community but the guards are extremely nice and the process is painless. Getting AroundPlease park only in the round-a-bout section of driveway. UTA offers Trax (train), buses, and their Frontrunner (high-speed train) for easy access all over the Salt Lake valley and extended Wasatch front. UTA buses also offer service from the base of the canyons to the four major ski resorts - so nice! - 25 minutes to the Salt Lake International Airport - 15 minutes to Snowbird Resort - 15 minutes to Alta Resort - 35 minutes to Brighton Resort - 35 minutes to Solitude Resort - 5 minutes to the entrance of Little Cottonwood Canyon - 10 minutes to the entrance of Big Cottonwood Canyon - 10 minutes to the entrance of Corner Canyon - 15 minutes to Living Planet Aquarium - 20 minutes to the entrance of Millcreek Canyon - 20 minutes to Hogle Zoo - 25 minutes to the entrance of Emigration Canyon (Ruth's Diner - one of our personal favorites) - 40 minutes to Park City....and so much more Other Things to NoteWe do have a lab-mix dog that stays inside 95% of the time, but it is possible you could run in to our sweet girl outside on occasion. If you have anyone with allergies or that just do not care for dogs, please let us know and we will be extremely cognizant of when she goes in and out. In the Winter, plan on walking through the snow if you chose to go through the North gate to get around to your private entrance.                 The SpaceNewly renovated space with modern updates and fixtures. Includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a living space, and a full kitchen (minus dishwasher). Since this basement is located in a split level home it is more above ground than your normal basement. There are full sized windows in each room along with the main area that allow for in plenty of natural light. The space also includes a tankless water heater. No need to worry about running out of hot water for the shower when your group returns from a day on the slopes or the trails. There are 2 queen sized beds, 2 twin bunk beds and a full/queen sized pull out couch in the living room. We also have a Pack'N Play (listed above as a "crib") that can be set up in the bedroom with the single queen bed. Humidifiers are located in the closets of each bedroom. The living space also includes a television as well as 100 MBPS Wi-Fi. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and utensils that can be found on the counter and in the cabinets/drawers. The island can seat 3-4 people. If you have a larger group this might not be ideal for sit-down dinners. If requested we can provide outdoor seating for 6. There is one A/C and heating unit for the whole house. The temperature control for this is upstairs. We generally keep the house around 70 degrees fahrenheit (21 celsius). If it is too cool or too warm downstairs please let us know and we will gladly adjust. Also, feel free to open or close the air vents to make the space more comfortable. Since the space is partially below ground it does run cooler than the rest of the house so we do provide extra blankets for the couch and bedrooms. If you need something else that we may have forgotten, just let us know and we would be happy to provide you with it. Guest AccessYou will be given your own private code to the electronic deadbolt on the day of your arrival. No keys necessary! Parking will be in the driveway next to the carport. Additional cars can park on the street in front of the house. Entry to the basement apartment is located in the backyard down a small set of stairs. Interaction with GuestsWe are two working professionals and live in the upstairs portion of this home with our two black labs. We can be available 24/7 if necessary and are only a text/phone call away. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need anything at all. The NeighborhoodOur house is tucked away in quiet, safe neighborhood in one of the suburbs of Salt Lake City. It is only minutes away from many shopping and entertainment options. We are also only a short drive away from the entrances to Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. It is about a 20-25 minute drive to Downtown Salt Lake City (longer in rush hour traffic), however, so our location might not be ideal for those whose main purpose of visiting is to explore the city. We have listed the distance from our home to many points of interest below but please feel free to inquire about any other locations so we can make sure you are renting a home in the area you want to be. This space is ideal for 2-6 people but can easily accommodate 2 additional people on a comfortable, foldout couch in the living room. Our 3 year old labs are usually running around the backyard first thing in the morning, around 730am, and a few times in the late afternoon/night. They are very friendly but are hesitant to meeting new people and may bark at you if they see you. If for some reason you see them outside and you have to leave an do not feel comfortable with them out there, please let us know and we will bring them inside immediately. We welcome guests to bring their pets and do not charge a pet-deposit. We just ask that you take responsibility for your pet and make sure to clean up after them. We also prefer that they be crated if left unattended.

You do not need to clean condo or wash linens but you are expected to leave the condo in a generally clean state. You must wash the dishes and put them away, take out trash, turn off the lights, set a/c or heat to average level, and lock door by pressing the center lock button. REPAIRS it is your responsibility to notify us via written notice within 24 hours of moving in of anything that is damaged, broken, dangerous, is not in working order. We do our best to check for damages after every move out, but if you do not notify us immediately, you assume liability for damages and payment thereof. Please tell us if you see something broken so we can fix it and not assume you broke it! Thank you! SKIERS/SNOWBOARDERS: Please leave your ski gear, equipment and boots inside the garage or locked inside your vehicle. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Additionally, do not leave them on the carpet or other floor areas. Any damage done to the area will be subtracted from the credit card. LATE/EARLY FLIGHTS: we kindly ask you to keep the noise down as much as possible going in and out of the home, keeping in mind that all homes in the area are private residences. You are welcome to ship items to yourself while you stay in the unit, keeping in mind that you are the responsible party for signing and picking them up.
