The Cobble House Inn is a grand 1860's late-Victorian mansion built on a hillside overlooking the Green Mountains and furnished with country antiques. Our central location makes it easy for guests to take day trips anywhere in the state. We are close to Vermont Law School and Dartmouth College.

Interaction with GuestsWhen you feel that you have all the information you need and you are ready to sign a lease, we would like to have a brief phone conversation with you. Once you are at the house to begin your getaway, we are 100% available via email or phone. We are generally not available, however, to come to the house in person during your rental period. The NeighborhoodWe are on a private, dirt road along with 12 other homes, some seasonal, some full-time. Getting AroundThe house is located approximately 22 min. to Killington/Pico access roads and 50 min. to Sugarbush. Other Things to NoteWell behaved pets are welcome with additional security deposit. The house is NO SMOKING. Bed and bath linens are provided. Firewood is provided. Cleaning service provided upon departure. Plow service. The house is on a private road halfway up a small mountain. Please note that the road is steep and AWD/4WD vehicles with good snow tires or chains are required. In the absence of these, there is a small turnout at the base of the road for parking (max. 1 space for our guests; respect our neighbors and park one behind other). The walk up to the house is 1/3rd mile. We have done it many, many times! If you slide into a ditch, it is dangerous for both you and our neighbors so don't take any risks.

Situated on 10 very private acres, 'Stonewall' boasts a gourmet kitchen, great room with wet bar, hot tub, fireplace and wood stove. 2 guest bed(s), Queen and Full size mattress with full bath, and a spiral staircase to a magnificent Queen size master bedroom with marble bathroom, shower and iron claw soaking tub. Comfortable and spacious living and dining areas offer a wood burning stove off of the eat-in gourmet kitchen. Slate floors welcome you into the rock wall finished entry and wet bar areas, then into the two-story great room with floor to ceiling fireplace. Deck with sunken in hot tub offers long-range views. Two other covered porches offer hammock areas for relaxation and great views as well! Privacy all-around and wildlife galore. Separate indoor car parking. High speed internet! Barnard Inn - Excellent 'pub' dining. 1/4 mile from General Store, about 8 minutes drive. Silver Lake swimming and boating in State Park - excellent for family fun. Local excellent restaurant, the Barnard Inn! Barnard has a local library, and historical visitor center. Woodstock / Queeche Villages: Just a short drive away! 15 - 25 mins. Wonderful art and antique shops. Horseback riding, hiking, museum visits - all within reach. See the Billings Farm and Museum, Simon Pierce Glass Blowing factory, Charles Shackleton Furniture company and more. Rules of the Lodge: There is a no smoking rule for the interior of the Lodge. Smoking is, of course, permitted on the outside decks, porches and grounds. Please be 'green' and discard cigarette, cigar, etc. butts and ashes in proper receptacles. No illegal activity is allowed at any time anywhere in or about the Premises. Any and all garbage is to be securely bagged in plastic bags and left in the closed garage upon departure. Secure the garage doors every night to ensure rodents and/or animals (raccoons, skunks, and yes . . . bears) do not mess with the garbage. The wood burning stove and fireplaces are to be attended to properly during use. The great room fireplace glass doors must remain closed during operation. All flues are to be opened prior to use for proper venting. Candles must be extinguished prior to bedtime, and, of course, are not to be left burning at any time the lodge is not occupied.

This is a secluded mountainside retreat. Perfect for a getaway for two and room enough for 5 it is located on nine private acres that sit just above the White River. It is only minutes from Killington, Okemo, Sugarbush and Pico. With Killington being only 14 miles away… it’s a skier’s delight! The Chalet offers a fully equipped custom built kitchen, a gas powered VT Castings stove, 1 full bathroom, flat screen satellite TV in the living room, and 2 sleeping areas: 1 bedroom with a full size bed, and a private sleeping loft with a king size bed, plus the love seat in the living room pulls out to a twin size bed. At the Chalet there are sleds for the two great sledding runs. Snow shoes are available also. Jump on your snow mobiles from the driveway and head out for a ride through the scenic mountain trails. If you’re a cross country ski lover you will enjoy the meadow trails nearby. As breathtaking this area is in the winter, the spring, summer, and fall will capture a place in your heart. The babbling brook that runs through the property brings beautiful music to the bountiful lush green canopy of this part of the Green Mountains. Swimming, fishing, tubing, and walking along the White River are just a step outside the front door. There are many nearby natural wonders that just have to be seen. Quechee Gorge, Texas Falls, and Moss Glen Falls are among a few of our favorites. The quaint New England towns of Woodstock, Quechee, Randolph, Barnard , and Rochester are a must to visit for shopping, antiquing, and restaurants. Nearby also offers Vermont Cabot Cheese outlet and Ben & Jerry’s. Come and enjoy the experience of a charming yet funky remodeled 1800's farmhouse. Listen to the brook and enjoy a glass of wine in front of the wood stove with your loved ones! Gaze at the stars from the bedroom window. Remember that life is meant to be savored! Our home has 2 bedrooms and a sleeping nook. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed. One bedroom is a loft over the main sitting area and the other is a suite with it's own bathroom and jacuzzi tub. The sleeping nook has a full size bed and there is a twin daybed on the adjacent landing. There is a mudroom to put your boots and coats, a patio overlooking the lawn and a washer dryer. The second bathroom is adjacent to the kitchen with a claw footed tub and shower. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, cast iron pans and cooking utensils. We love to cook so you should find what you need to make a great meal! Other amenities include a washer and dryer and grill. The house is in a quiet location off route 107 adjacent to Stony Brook and is just 20 minutes to Killington/Pico. Just down our road is the VAST trail network and the Appalachian trail. Our road is perfect for mountain biking, snowmobiling, ATV's and walking...there is something for everyone! The surrounding area also offers hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, biking, horseback riding, and fishing. You can swim and tube in the White River and there are two golf courses within 15 minutes. The SpaceMinutes from Killington and Woodstock, VT A 2200 sq/ft, (1600 sq/ft open-floor plan), perfect for hanging out with friends and group meals. A sound bar fills the space with music. A television with no bad seat in the house. Outside, 3.5 acres to enjoy with views of Mt. Hunger, an outdoor fireplace, a five minute walk to a swimming hole in the White River, and the ever changing seasons. In the 80 seasons we’ve spent here, they’ve never the same. And yes, we have Wi-Fi in case you need to stay connected (although we strongly encourage disconnecting). Guest AccessThe entire 1st floor, front porch, and 3.5 acres for you to explore. Snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and x-country skiing access from the property, plus a sledding hill right off the front porch! The upstairs is private but unoccupied. There is no access to the basement. Interaction with GuestsThe caretaker lives next door (but is not always there) and may be available for mid-stay service. Please let us know if you will need a caretaker during the stay and we will do our best to accommodate.     Beautifully furnished 1820 farmhouse with porches all around at end of dead end road, The house sits in a meadow sloping down to the White River, a great swimming and fishing river. We have 2 great swimming holes on our land, with a mile and a half of river frontage. The house, which feels like a 19th century farmhouse has a beautiful large kitchen with cherry counters and a 6 burner garland stove, dishwasher and a fully stocked kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor with a large bath which includes a Jacuzzi and a steam bath. The living room has a large stone fireplace, with exposed beams and windows in every direction. Upstairs there is a sleeping loft with 2 single beds, and beyond that is a master bedroom with its own bath. There are no houses visible from the property - an extremely private and peaceful place.       The Meadow House is a beautifully furnished farmhouse with porches all around, at end of dead end road, sitting in the middle of 200 acres of Vermont meadows and woods. The house has 19th century charm and is outfitted with all of the modern conveniences. There are 4 double-bedded bedrooms, and 2 full baths. The upstairs bath has both a sauna and a steam bath. The 400 square foot kitchen is fully equipped, and is a wonderful kitchen to both cook in and share with family and friends. The radiant heated mosaic tile floor is a pure pleasure to be on. There is a dishwasher, as well as a washer/dryer in the basement. There is also a ping pong table in the basement. There are porches on both the south and north sides of the house, with beautiful views of the meadows and hills surrounding. Its a beautiful 10 minute walk to the White River and our private beach.
