Guest AccessWe have two cottages for rent and they both have a private entrance, living/dining area, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, complimentary WiFi, satellite TV, DVD player, local glass bottle milk, premium OJ, our own farm fresh eggs, organic coffee and tea is stocked in the cottage when you arrive scrumptious homemade baked goods and locally made organic artisan breads are brought to your doorstep each morning.
Dietary restrictions such as gluten free, dairy free, nut free, etc. happily accommodated. If you wish smaller accommodations with more pampering check out any of our three Inn rooms which, located in an graciously restored 1774 Colonial home, are more elegant and include our renown 3 course farm-to-table candlelight breakfast each morning using as much as we can that we grown here on the farm.
Our Sunnyside Farmhouse is a larger accommodation than the cottages, can sleep up to 8 guests and includes additional amenities such as a dishwasher, washer/dryer, farmer's porch with rocking chairs, stone fire pit and horse shoe pits.
We have a game room in the Inn filled with perennial favorites you are welcome to borrow as well as a slew of local maps, guide books and gazetteers for exploring back roads and hidden gems. There are lots of suggestions of things to do during your stay in our welcome book which is located in each accommodation on arrival, but we are more than happy to help you plan your stay if you wish.
You may explore our 105 acre farm to visit our 100% grass-fed beef herd, pasture-raised heritage pigs, chickens, turkeys, livestock guardian dogs and cashmere goats. Follow along to do chores each morning, collect farm fresh eggs each afternoon, pick fresh produce and small fruits from our extensive organically managed gardens in season (with permission) to make yourself a truly farm-to-table local meal. Our own pasture-raised meats such as bacon, sausage, steaks, pork chops, chicken, turkey, eggs, maple syrup and homemade jams are available for purchase from our farm store on site.
Hike our woodland walking trail through 60 beautiful acres of our property. Missing Fido? Our super well-behaved Golden doodle Lulu LOVES to go on hikes and will happily escort you on your hike if you ask. Interaction with GuestsThe innkeeper lives on site in separate accommodations with her family, enjoys interacting with guests and is available for planning activities for the day, making reservations at local restaurants and leading farm and garden tours, but is also respectful of your space and privacy. Amount of interaction is dictated by our guests. The NeighborhoodOur 105-acre organically managed farm is surrounded on two sides by a 500-acre orchard creating lots of open space, peace and quiet yet just a few miles from the quaint New England village of downtown Walpole where you'll find some of the world's best chocolate, fine dining, a local tavern, creative artisans, a winery, an award-winning 9-hole golf course, farm stands, one of the most picturesque historic town commons in all of New England.
We have a beautiful hiking trail through our 60 acres of woodlands where you can view migrating birds, rare species of wildflowers and endless lines of tubing set for maple sap collection or walk to the neighboring Alyson's Orchard to pick 100+ varieties of fruit in season.
An early riser? Participate in daily farm chores on our sustainable grass-based farm like moving chicken tractors to fresh pasture, collecting farm-fresh eggs, caring for our heritage pigs or herd of grass-fed beef cattle. There are endless miles of stonewalls, photo opportunities, secret swimming holes, hiking, amazing views, cheese makers, maple syrup and honey producers as well as museums, art galleries, historical societies and more in the immediate area.
We're conveniently located in the southwest corner of New Hampshire providing easy access to explore southern NH, VT and MA.
Visiting in the winter? Corridor 5, a main snowmobile trail that runs from the MA border to Canada goes through our woodlands and there is easy access to the trails right from our accommodations without going on or crossing any roads. Local trails lead to the pizza restaurant, gas station and other necessities for a fun day out in the snow. There is no one in the area that rents snowmobiles, but you are welcome to bring your own as we have plenty of secure parking for your truck and trailer. Getting AroundThis is a rural area so a car is a must. If your party is traveling in multiple vehicles, there is plenty of off-street parking available. Parking for snowmobile/motorcycle trailers is available as well as covered parking for motorcycles and bicycles. Our farm is located directly across the street from Alyson's Orchard and an easy 3 mile drive to downtown Walpole, said to be one of the most picturesque villages in all of New England. Walpole is a vibrant community complete with one of the world's finest chocolatiers, fine dining, a tavern, bakery, cooperative art store, several unique shops, a nationally known 9-hole gold course, winery and vineyard, two cheese makers, farm stands, ice cream, maple syrup and honey producers, and more.
Walpole is located in the southwest corner of New Hampshire close to the border of Vermont and just about 25 miles north of the border of MA, making our location ideal as a base for exploring all that NH, VT and MA have to offer. The college community of Keene, NH is an easy 20 minute drive south, Brattleboro, VT is 25 minutes southwest and Hanover, NH and Woodstock, VT an easy 45 minutes north. Museums, restaurants, art galleries, swimming holes, canoeing, artisan unique events abound.
