The SpaceThe space features a master bedroom with a queen bed, couch, desk, bureaux, closet, and full bath with bed linens, towels, and toiletries included.
There is a large common space outside the master bedroom with a pool table (if you flip it over, it's a ping pong table!) and plush sectional sofa and TV.
The common area moves into a small kitchen with a refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, sink, and plenty of cabinet space for groceries. There is no stove in this kitchen so if you'd like to cook, please feel free to use the upstairs kitchen whenever you'd like. Kitchen comes stocked with dish towels, paper towels, sponges, detergent, cutlery, plates, bowls and glasses.
By the kitchen is a common area with a dining table and chairs (extra chairs in the closet for events) and a couch.
Off the kitchen there is an exercise room with a treadmill and recumbent bike and two twin beds if you have extra guests.
There is also a full bath by the exercise room which hosts a washer and dryer unit. The bathroom is stocked with extra towels, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, toiletries, and a large sink for hand-washables.
Wifi is available anywhere in the house.
In the summer you will have full access to the pool and hot tub located right outside your entrance! Guest AccessYou have a private entrance to the space from the pool patio. You may come and go as you please as the entire level of the house is private and yours. Interaction with GuestsI work during the week days so I will not be around most days. I am, however, available in the evenings and weekends if you'd like recommendations on local attractions, nightlife, and restaurants. I know Washington, DC very well and can advise you on the city as well! The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is very secluded, private, and quiet. Each house is tucked back in the trees on its own land so you won't see any neighbors from our home.
There is a Safeway grocery store, CVS pharmacy, 7-11 convenience store, 10 restaurants (Indian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Irish Pub, Pizza), a Starbucks, nail and hair salons, and various stores to shop within a 6-minute drive from the house.
The house is a 20 minute drive from Tysons, VA. Getting AroundYou will need a car if you plan to stay in Great Falls. In general the town doesn't have access to public transportation. There are several metro stops within a 25-minute drive that will take you around Northern VA and into Washington, DC. Other Things to NoteThe house is a 5-minute walk from the banks of the Potomac River. There is a trail you can take in my back yard that will lead you all the way there. I highly recommend a hike no matter what season!
