Interaction with GuestsWe love to meet and get to know all of our guests, but we take our cue from you. Your space is private and we will generally not even know whether you are here or away. Join us for fun at the creek or campfire, shoot hoops with our sons on the basketball court or cozy up by your indoor fire and pretend we don't exist. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is very quiet and full of wildlife. Harris Creek weaves its way between all the houses up on the ridges. Each 5+ acre lot is heavily wooded and many lots are not developed. The deer, turkeys, pileated woodpeckers, owls and eagles abound.
The road is bumpy, hilly and winding. The bridge is simple, but rated for 15 tons, so don't let it scare you. No trolls have been sighted beneath it, but... you never know.
A walk to the mailbox is one mile. There and back is two. It is a great walk. You can also take a turn on Leftwich and give yourself a longer workout. The hills will getcha'. Getting AroundYou will need a car out here. You will park in the first driveway at the bottom by your private entrance. It is a very easy drive to LU and downtown Lynchburg. Hiking and outdoor options are all around us in Amherst County. Other Things to NoteWe are early to bed and early to rise. The kids are up around 6:30 M-F to leave for school at 7:30. Weekends we tend to rise around 8:00. Guests report the footsteps overhead are not disturbing, but you may hear a few. Roll over and go back to sleep!
