The SpaceThis is an old little house, kept mostly in its original form from when it was constructed in 1953. House is divided like a duplex with another guest in back apartment with a locked door between, so each have privacy. Convenient to buses, subway to D.C., Tysons Corner Mall, and grocery stores. Appliances and interior have NOT been upgraded so please expect older but functional amenities, which allows me to charge lower than average rates. (This neighborhood is being gentrified, as you will see huge houses amongst the smaller ones like mine) so once this house is sold in the coming years, it will surely be torn down, hence I can't justify spending money on remodeling).
It is nevertheless set up to be cozy and comfortable with lots of clean blankets, pillows and throws to snuggle up and read or watch TV. Not a hotel quality experience - more of visiting a friend's lived-in but clean home. "Shabby chic," as we like to re-use, upcycle and get things from yard sales and then steam clean to furnish our guest homes in an eclectic affordable charm. All amenities function well to meet basic needs for affordable brief stays. Owner stays in the house from time to time I see clients in the living room on Wednesday afternoons between 3:30 and 6:00, so I have things set up in a way that facilitates my work, and I stay there too some nights (not when guests are there), hence I have personal belongings tucked here and there, but the closet and dressers in the guest room are empty and ready for guest's! Room has freshly washed sheets and towels, is dusted and vacuumed between guests and bathroom is cleaned, but I do not have time or resources to keep it absolutely spotless or immaculate.
Includes linens, dishes, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, one-burner stove, toaster, microwave, hot pot. Back half is a separate unit, but shares walls, so guests can sometimes hear one another talk and must be considerate of noise volume. Very convenient to Tysons business district, and getting around Northern Virginia and subway station into Washington, D.C. is two miles away. Close to the Beltway 495, Rt. 66, Rt 123 and Rt. 50. There is a bus stop two blocks from the house. Ideal for brief stays of less than a month. Private entrance, bedroom, bathroom, sitting room with TV. Dishes get rinsed in bathroom sink. Wifi included, but it goes out for several hours sometimes due to nearby construction.
Safeway and Trader Joe's grocery stores nearby, along with several restaurants.
This is an old house, with the original exterior siding, doors and windows, so the outside looks shabby compared to newer houses, but inside is clean and comfortable with all the basics. The bedroom is about 10 x 12, with a full (double) size bed as pictured (not Queen size, as that would be too cramped to move around). Also has an empty closet, two dressers, shelf space, and attic loft for storing luggage out of sight. Space is set up ideally for one guest.

Also Metrobus, Orange line of subway, West Falls Church station are nearby. For driving, this house is close to northern Va's main arteries: Rt. 7, Rt. 495, Rt. 123, and Rt. 66. You can get anywhere in a 20 mile radius from these highways, although they get really backed up during rush hour, so allow extra time!
