The SpaceMidway provides a lovely location to get back to nature and enjoy the beautiful night sky. The Airbnb apartment is approximately 2,000 sq. ft. We are very pleased to be offering a full kitchen, large living areas with wet bar, dining room, sunroom with dining area and large patio beginning in May. Our yard is large and private with plenty of space for yard games and children to play. There is a nice area on the patio for making smores and relaxing around the fire. Our new space would be perfect for family reunions and other small events! Until May we offer a coffee room, details following. Pictures of the new space will be added soon. Feel free to contact us for more details.
The enclosed porch includes a dining area which is a very nice place to enjoy morning coffee. Many vintage items have been used in the decorating and rooms are clean and comfortable . We offer an old photo album so guests may see the before and after of the renovations. Our outdoor glider is a nice way to relax and view the meadows and woodland.
The guest house area consists of the following. (Please note that there is no full kitchen presently.)
The king room is upstairs and would share the bathroom with double sinks, if the full room is occupied. This is the largest bedroom and is decorated with white wicker furnishings.
The queen room is downstairs and has a private bathroom with small shower. It is painted in a very relaxing green, and is next to the enclosed porch and common areas.
The feminine double room is upstairs and would share the large bathroom if King room is occupied.
A rollaway bed and a sofa bed are available too.
Linens and towels are good quality and toiletries are provided.
The common areas include an enclosed porch, large lawn with yard games and furniture, snack/breakfast room, dining areas, dens and game room with games, cards and DVD player, some movies provided.
The yard and country road are open for strolling. Please do not walk in the wooded areas.
The breakfast room includes coffeemaker, toaster, small refrigerator and small microwave. Coffee, tea, light snacks and water are provided. Paper plates and cups, paper towels and plastic eating utensils are provided.
The tenant on the other side of the house has no access to the secure area of the guest house. The house is very long and there is a private buffer between the two areas. The tenant will no longer be there after April 2017. Please note that the hallways and one bathroom do not have air conditioning, fans provided. All bedrooms, dens and snack room areas are air conditioned. Our furnace for heating is a bit noisy at startup and may be heard from a few areas of the house.
As stated we plan to offer additional space and a full kitchen this summer! Contact us for details. Guest AccessMidway is only about one mile off of Rt. 60 Anderson Highway down a short gravel road. Rooms have private keys to room and house. Guests should be aware that the stairway is a bit steep and ceilings are lower than new construction. There are several step downs between rooms and some floors are not completely level. There are large trees on property with exposed roots. Those walking should be careful. We do not recommend our house for those with any issues walking. The front door is on the enclosed glassed-in porch on the right side of the house as you approach.
