There is a queen-size bedroom, and two sets of single bunk beds are just around the corner. On the back side of the caboose a kitchen, bathroom have also been added. The kitchen has a four burner stove, coffee maker, coffee grinder, dishes and cookware, toaster, refrigerator -- perfect for glampers everyday cooking needs. The SpaceIf you want a quiet setting, this is the place for you. There are no city noises or lights on this wooded 5 acre property. The bathroom and bedroom are really clean and the queen size bed is comfy with a feather topper. The room is a good size at 185 sq ft with views of the forest. It has lots of books, a desk, a closet and chest of drawers. The private bathroom next to the room has a tub with shower. I don't just offer a bed, my hospitality includes more than that. Coffee, tea, hot/cold beverages/juice, fruit, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal and pastries. My place is not set up to accommodate your little tykes or pets, sorry. There is no handicap accessibility. The sleeping arrangement is really only for a couple who sleep together or a single person. I have a sleeping mat that is pretty comfortable if you need it. I do not offer the grounds for events. The house is going through some minor upgrades, so it's not hotel perfect, but it's charming and rest assured, you will not be dealing with any construction dust or noises. It's usually very quiet here unless the wildlife decides to get wild in the middle of the night! Guest AccessYou can come and go as you please. Keyless entry on front door. Interaction with GuestsI live in the country in a 1,900 sq ft home and keep it very clean. I have a standard poodle who is very friendly and does not shed. If you miss your dog, he will be happy to fill in as your adopted fur pal. I like to share meals when I have time, but it would not be guaranteed. You can also bring your own food and cook in my gourmet kitchen. I work at home, but am very busy and am in the outbuildings or outside gardening a lot. You can either hang out with me in the rest of the house or you can keep your door closed and hide from the world. If I'm away for your stay or part of the time, you can step in with some pet sitting if you'd like, but I'll never expect it. There is a fire ring to use, but it's up to you to get firewood and make sure the smoke does not cause a problem for neighbors or enter the house. I'm here to help you enjoy your stay and I interact only if you wish. I can get the hint if you want privacy. It's your vacation, have fun while you're here. I am progressive and LGBTQ friendly. 420 OK outside only. The NeighborhoodMy house is at the top of a wooded island. (Yes, there is a bridge and without a toll.) It's on a quiet private drive. Parking is plentiful and it is a very safe place to be. There is a state park to enjoy within walking distance. It's very safe here. Getting AroundYou'll need reliable transportation and if it's snowing or icy, you'll need all all wheel or four wheel drive in the winter. There are a couple of state parks to take walks in. There are lots of places to visit or dine within a 10 minute or two hour drive. There are maps and ideas on where you can go for day trips in your room. Please plan your trip and hikes before you get here via internet or guidebooks. Other Things to NoteLinens and towels are provided. If you forget anything like a razor, toothpaste, etc, I have extras. Sometimes my boyfriend might be helping me host. BYOB, my liquor cabinet is off limits. Outdoor chairs, picnic blankets, yoga mats, patio set, hammock are all available. Purchase a small propane canister if you'd like to use the gas grill. Full kitchen privileges as long as you agree to my house rules.

It is a fully functioning home, but tucked into the trees of the Olympic Peninsula with a beautiful view of the lake from the Adirondak chairs on the deck. It is quiet, cozy and welcoming. In the summer, the swim float is ideal for the kids' King of the Float contests or just to bask in the warm sun. There is also canoe to explore the lake in its entirety. There is a fire pit for s'mores and hot dogs and plenty of grass and beach to visit with friends, watch the kids in the water or simply enjoy the quiet. Come and visit Case Inlet, the most pristine waterway of South Puget Sound, and find our cozy waterfront cottage waiting to embrace you. The house is 1760 square feet, with four bedrooms and two baths. Oak floors and trim, beautiful rugs and photographs, tiled countertops and a slate fireplace surround are some of the details that make the cottage an inviting place to spend your vacation. Relax in the hot tub and take in the beautiful view. There are both a canoe and sit-on, double kayak, with PFDs and paddles available, for you to get out on the water. Wifi is available throughout the house. By the way, we are new to Flip Key, but have been a full time vacation rental for 8-years. Whimsical tropical fish, trellises and a view of the bay through an arched gate greet you upon entering the fenced property. The kitchen, dining room and living room are all open to the water view. A three level deck adds to the living space. The hot tub provides an outstanding view of Case Inlet. After a soak you can spend time on the comfortable chaise lounges or have lunch under the wisteria. Serve your guests at the outdoor bar. The beach is just twenty steps from the deck across the landscaped yard. Enjoy the fire pit and Adirondack chairs at waters edge. Low tide reveals an immense beach for exploring, clam digging and collecting a few oysters to barbecue for dinner. The bay is great for water sports. It is warm enough in the summer, by Northwest standards, for a quick dip. Bring your power boat, kayaks, windsurfers, and fishing gear. Kayak rentals are available just down the beach. Three salmon runs bring fish right in front of the house in the fall. Watching the salmon jump and splash is an amazing site! The kitchen is well stocked to meet your food preparation needs. The large island has four chairs for casual dining. A long countertop next to the dining room is perfect for a buffet setup. The dining room table can seat eight or more people and a second table can be set up for additional guests. The comfortable upholstered chairs, stained glass chandelier and the view provide a memorable setting for meals. The living room has a wide-screen HDTV and DVD with surround sound. An upstairs bedroom has a TV with DVD/VCR, books, games, videos, two full size futon sofa beds and a double bed. Kids can claim this room while the adults are downstairs. The Case Inlet view from the master bedroom on the second floor is exquisite. Curling up in the comfortable queen bed or on the love seat in this room, with a warm drink and a book will define the word 'vacation'! The third upstairs bedroom has a queen bed. The upstairs has some areas of low headroom. One bedroom with a queen bed is located on the main floor. The house is located in the center of this small town and everything you might need is within a few minutes walk of your door. You can stroll down the beach to a waterfront restaurant and sports bar, and just a bit further to the Allyn Waterfront Park, pier and dock (moorage available). Buy an espresso, a meal or groceries and return to your private retreat. Explorations by water from Allyn include Fair Harbor Marina, Stretch, and Treasure Islands, Pickering Passage, Olympia, and points beyond. The book South Puget Sound Afoot and Afloat is a great guide to the area. The 27-hole Lakeland Village Golf Course is minutes away. Other great courses including Trophy Lakes and Gold Mountain are within a thirty minute drive. The area is known for it's ATV trails, nearby lakes, and access to the Olympic Peninsula, Olympic National Park, and Hood Canal. The cities of Belfair, Shelton, Gig Harbor and Bremerton are nearby for additional shopping and dining opportunities. Belfair has a large waterfront nature preserve with walking trails. You can drive to Seattle (90 minutes) via Tacoma or take a 20-mile drive to Bremerton and a spectacular, 55-minute ride on the Washington State Ferry System directly to downtown Seattle. Allyn is a tiny community. There are two nearby coffee shops, a small grocery, a post office, a waterfront restaurant (The Boat House), a Mexican Restaurant, a take-out "burger joint" (Big Bubbas), a waterfront park with pier and a golf course 1-mile away.

The SpaceThe main living area has an oversized futon (double +) and a toddler bed is available upon request. Guest AccessGuests have direct access to the lake from the shore. Interaction with GuestsWe live next door and will be available during times that guests stay at the cottage. We do not invade our guests privacy but definitely want to be supportive to our guests if needed. The NeighborhoodHomes surrounding the lake are all shapes & sizes, ranging from all year round homes to cabins that are only occupied in the summer months and Holidays during the year. Getting AroundThe lake is approximately 6 miles south of Allyn, approximately 14 miles North of Shelton, approximately 5 miles from Hood Canal and approximately 10 miles from The Alderbrook Resort. The cottage is less than .5 miles from the nearest Fire Station (just down the road). Other Things to NoteThe lake is restricted to electric motors only. Canoe's, paddle boards & boats, stand up paddle boards, floating in tubes, and swimming are lake favorites. Nearby Mason Lake is very popular for many water sports (ski boats, jet skis, tubing, etc) with the public launch being approx. 1 mile from the cottage.

The SpaceThe South Shore of Hoods Canal has famous and rich people who have their summer homes here and for good reason. Bill Gates, the Nordstroms - they enjoy the easy access by seaplane from their waterfront homes in Seattle, the warm waters in the summer (the rest of Puget sound water never gets above 45 degrees), and the ready access to oysters, clams and dungeness crab, as well as spotted shrimp, salmon, bald eagles, blue herons, seals, sea otters, and Olympic Mountain Ice Cream, probably the best ice cream in the world. Guest AccessYou will have access to the whole property, except for the garage which is crowded with our boat. We are lucky to have a boat ramp which you can use if you have a boat you want to bring or wave runners. Interaction with GuestsI will have a local manager available to help if there are any issues, but you will just call me so I can personally decide if I can help you over the phone or if the manager needs to help. The NeighborhoodWe have virtually no neighbors across the street and there are two abandoned roads that lead up into the foredst behind us, eventually winding up at the top of a previously logged area several square miles of no one around, a few ponds, and deer, coyotes, and I might add black bears. I have never seen the bears but they are there. It is a very good walk and I frankly have never gone to the furthest extent of the property but there is no one there and the regrowth of the trees is accelerating. I tried taking my daughters Yorkie up there one time and she first smelled the coyote scat, then 100 feet in front of us one jumped out of the field, ran into the wood, and started howling, and that was the end of our walk as Penelope headed back to the "barn". Getting AroundThe quickest way to get here is by float plane, but I can't say I do that often unless my friend, who owns one, flies me over. The rich people like Bill Gates usually just have the local float plane company take them, but the Nordstroms have their own Beaver's, having only crashlanded and turned turtle once that I'm aware of. Other Things to NoteThere is only one neighbor to the right as you are facing the water who is in his eighties but who still takes his rowing boat out on most days, but he goes to Hawaii or Mexico for most of the winter and the house on our left has been vacant for a long time, and left that way just as an investment. Therefore it is very quiet and there are no flood lights so at night it is easy to see stars and shooting stars. Myself, I sleep out on the lawn most nights in the summer on a cot, poad and sleeping bag. We have a propane fueled "fire table" with a large umbrella overhead (collapsible) that is fun to sit around as the evening cools off, or some go to the wood fire pit right by the sea wall and relax there.

Property is private and though there are neighbors, they are separated by trees. There are apple & plum trees as well as blackberries growing on the property for guests to enjoy. The NeighborhoodPrivate, quiet beach community is an eclectic mixture of large waterfront homes and well kept modular homes. Community beach looks out to Harstine Island and a scenic cove. Grapeview is a quaint town just south of Gig Harbor near Belfair, Allyn & Shelton on Puget Sound. Getting AroundThere is not much within walking distance of this neighborhood (other than the beach!) so a car will be necessary. Other Things to NoteWe will send you a code to the electronic door lock on the day of your check in. The perimeter of the property is protected by a security camera system. These are outdoor cameras only and are for the security of our property as well as our guests.

Elegant 3 bedroom home on hood canal and over 150 feet of private, waterfront property. In the late spring, summer and early fall, the salt water is warm and perfect for waterskiing, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, or just diving in for a refreshing swim. You might see a seal, maybe two of them. Our raft will be out in the summer and is perfect for "dock starts" if waterskiing, jumping off of, or just for sunbathing. Often, you will awake to see seals have used the raft for their resting spot overnight, but they leave soon after the sun goes up. We have a large pickle ball court, basketball court and ramp to put your boat in. Put one of our crab pots out & pick out some oysters from our beach & you are all set for a delectable dinner. Winter time is cozy to cuddle up and read a good book, watch the various birds migrate, play cards or board games with family and friends. Alder brook Resort is just 7 miles south of our home. They have a world class spa and delicious northwest cuisine. I grew up on Bainbridge Island and spent many summers on the canal at my grandparents home. It is my slice of heaven out here. When the tide comes all the way up in the evenings; there is a period I call the "Magic Hour". It is Divine. Enjoy.
