The SpaceQueen memory foam mattress is located in main loft, and there is a single sleeper foam pad in the smaller reading-nook loft. This single sleeping spot will only be made up into a bed with sheets for a rental of two people IF REQUESTED beforehand. Otherwise it will be set up for lounging and reading during your stay, as we will assume the 2 guests are sharing queen bed. Kitchen has a mini fridge with a freezer, 2 burner stove top, toaster oven, coffee maker, french press and all the plates, pots & pans, silverware and mugs needed to make and enjoy your meals. We also have some spices, condiments and cooking extras in the kitchen that you are free to use. Couch and small dining area for two also located on main floor with kitchen. Propane BBQ, picnic table and fire pit on patio outside. 3 different bikes are available to use during your stay, plus a kids wagon if you want to explore and walk or pedal around the island, and they are located in the boat shed near the house. On island food options: The main island store at the ferry dock changed ownership summer 2016, and still has limited days open while they renovate. Currently the store is open Wednesday through Sundays, and serves food, beer and wine, and sells limited grocery items. The store is a fun place to sit at the bar and chat with local islanders. There is also a small store at the Guemes Island Resort on the North tip of the island, that sells beer, wine, and alcohol, and limited food items (like frozen pizzas!) It is open daily from 9 - 7pm and is a 15 minute drive from the Tiny house. Guest AccessWhen you arrive, If we are available, we will meet you at the tiny house and give you a quick tour to point out basic information. You will receive your personal key code to use during your stay to lock and unlock the front door as you come and go immediately after booking, so make sure to read your follow up email upon completion. Interaction with GuestsWe live further up into the woods, up the same driveway from where you will be staying. We have a black lab on the property who is very friendly and may wander down to say hello. We will wave if we drive by but basically we will not be bothering you during your stay. The place is yours! If we are needed for any questions, we're just a phone call or text/message away. The NeighborhoodGuemes is home to 650 full time year-round residents and has a wonderful island community. We have one main store on the island that provides amenities you may need like beer and wine, food items and gas right above the ferry landing. Open Weds. - Sunday. There are two large grocery stores in Anacortes, and we recommend buying your food items at one of them before catching the ferry to Guemes. The Guemes Resort on North Beach also has a "tiny" store where you can find the best selection of beer and wine on the island. My husband and I both live and work through the woods just up the driveway from the Tiny House and usually will be home to answer any questions you have unless we have specified otherwise. We have a woodworking studio built using two 40' shipping containers and a screen printing studio on site, so keep in mind the random car will sometimes pass-by heading up to the main house during the day picking up deliveries or employees heading to work. This is infrequent but worth noting. Getting AroundThere is no public transit on Guemes Island but we have bikes you can use if you'd like and walking here is wonderful! We are located 2 miles from the ferry landing. It's a beautiful walk. Other Things to NoteThis tiny house is also be a makers house, featuring curated items made from artists and craftsman. It is a unique way to showcase handmade goods that you can use and admire during your stay. We have a notebook filled with info on where to find them online and in stores if you wish to purchase any for yourself. Guemes island is a wonderful place to explore. Walk, hike, ride your bike, or enjoy fantastic beach walks. It's a great place to enjoy nature. There are many eagles and deer to see, and the smell of ocean air is all around you. If you want to stay cozy inside, enjoy a large selection of dvd's we have on hand in the tiny house for you to enjoy on the flat screen tv. We have wireless internet, but please keep in mind this is ISLAND INTERNET, meaning our speeds here are nothing like a city and sometimes (not too often) service slows and cuts out intermittently.

The SpaceOK we live in paradise. Why not stop by for a visit? We’re located on Guemes Island an 8-minute county ferry ride from Anacortes, Washington. Meaning you can avoid the long car line-up and reservations for the state ferryboats and also the big expense. Our house was custom built for us with 6 rooms open floor plan (no walls and doors, it's open). Anderson’s store for food is 1 mile south, county park is 400’ for tennis, baseball and soccer plus kids playground the second county park is 1 mile north for waterfront crabbing and cookouts and an occasional food truck. Hiking Guemes mountain is a great hike to see all of the San Juan Islands and Cascade Mountains. Here’s some other salesish stuff I cut and pasted from other folks ads in the area that sounds fancy, plus I bet you can’t guess the parts we edited… Located across the water from Anacortes, Washignton on Guemes Island we are a 5-10 minute bike ride to beaches, county parks, hiking trails, 2 island stores and waterfront pinicing and grilling. Our island we think is ideal for all visitors. It's an easy 2 minute drive from the county ferry landing to our home. Our home includes living/dining area, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, 1 upstairs bedroom with queen bed (2 people), loft, office with a full sized murphy bed (2 people) and living room. 2 bikes, books and games are also available for guests use. Our home is located on a 2.5 private wooded acreage tucked into the giant fir and cedar trees. Watch boats pass by the south end as you munch on double cheeseburgers and drink beer at Anderson’s Store. Head down to the north beach for a walk and cooking out at the county park. Go to the park 1/4 mile away for tennis and the playground. Our home is situated among firs and cedars in a quiet and tucked away location from the wind. Generally 2- 5 bar cell coverage in the house. Internet WiFi is available at the home. So in general come stay at our place, kick back and enjoy the life in the San Juan’s, plus don’t expect too much except a very relaxing vacation. Guest AccessThe entire home is yours to enjoy, you have full run of the place and property. Interaction with GuestsWe are generally out of state but easy to reach via phone, text or email. The NeighborhoodOur home is located on a 2.5 private wooded acreage tucked into the giant fir and cedar trees. Located on rural Guemes Island, about 300 full-time residents. We're an 8-minute ferry ride over to Anacortes, Washington for restaurants, farmer's market and "in town" stuff if you want. Watch boats pass by the south end as you munch on double cheeseburgers and drink beer at Anderson’s Store. Head down to the north beach for a walk and cooking out at the county park. Go to the schoolhouse park 1/4 mile away for tennis and the playground. Getting AroundA quick and easy ferry ride from Anacortes, Washington on a small Skagit County run ferry. We're a quick drive up the road from the ferry, though most everything on Guemes is quick since it's a teeny tiny island. Lot's of places for hiking and biking around the island, or heading down to the water. 2 bikes are at the house for guest use. Other Things to NoteDue to our concrete floors, open stairs and cable railings we feel that is not a good fit for people traveling with young children. Please note that we do not have any window coverings. We also do not host cats.

The SpaceOur beautifully appointed sailboat offers a fun alternative to staying in a more conventional setting; Beautiful Marina; walk to the charming town of Anacortes; shopping; whale watching tours; top drawer restaurants; doorway to the San Juan's; Our sailboat is comfortable and cozy with all of the amenities of home. If you want you can do your own cooking with our fully appointed galley. You can also read through our Cruising Log and learn about our adventures in the San Juans and the northern parts of British Columbia If your are curious you can peruse the cruising books that we have used as we have taken Singing Hallelujah North into British Columbia as far as the Broughton Archipelago (to be exact the Broughtons are located just off the mainland at the northern most part of BC). Two things make staying on a boat unique. If there is wind you can hear it whistle through the rigging. That can be somewhat daunting if you are out at anchor... wondering if the force of the wind will knock your anchor loose from the bottom. But no worries for you are safe and snug at harbor. The other thing that I thoroughly love is the gentle rock of the boat when I sleep at night. This tends to happen when the wind is up or a boat has passed by. I have found that this rocking motion is always a fun surprise for friends who by definition are landlubbers :). For those of you who love music, we have a great Boze entertainment system on board and we have an IPOD hook up ... so bring your music. PLEASE NOTE: there is a slight increase in the nightly rate as we will need to refill the water tanks and pump out the holding tank. That needs to be done weekly. We have it all; great restaurants, interesting shops as well as Art Galleries. If you want you can catch a bus and take the Washington State Ferry to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island or stop off and visit the town of Orcas on Orcas Island, just off the Ferry landing. One of my favorite suggestions is to take one of the whale watching tours that will give you a front row seat to watch the Orca whales playing and feeding. The Sea lions are always fun to watch too and of course the seals are always popping up to take a look at the world passing them by. Other than all the above you can also relax in the Cockpit of our boat... read a book...bask in the sunshine with a glass of wine to add to the overall relaxing and gentle rock of Singing Hallelujah created from the wakes of other boaters going out for a short adventure. We will not be present but will have someone available should there be any problems. If you do have problems call us at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or text us at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) and we will get someone there to help where needed. The Marina is absolutely beautiful. There is a great restaurant (Anthony's Homeport) at the entrance to the Marina where guests can eat or enjoy happy hour. The Whale Watching excursions should not be missed. Anacortes is a small Artsy Town with delightful art galleries and gift shops. Saturday Market just walking distance from the boat is also lots of fun with interesting food, vegetables, and crafts... not to mention the people. You can walk just about everywhere and there is lots to explore Parking is at the top of the marina; first come first serve. There is a short walk to where the boat is moored. Island buses are available. The Washington State Ferries are about 15 miles away. You can either drive on or walk on. The Ferries take you to the Charming towns of Orcas and Friday Harbor. It is also fun to watch the Marina boat traffic coming and going. Please note: I am charging more for longer stays...not much but will have to service the boat more than once. etched glass divider between the Galley(kitchen) and Salon(living area); Original Gorham Indian print hanging on the Salon Bulkhead(Wall); Boze Entertainment center for CD,s IPOD and DVD's; Large Cockpit(outside seating area) as well Guest AccessThe entire boat is at your disposal Interaction with GuestsWe live 3 hours away. However I do check my texts and emails if you should have any questions. If you need me to call you please text me and I will call back as soon as possible. Being that we live in the mountains I don't always get my phone calls but I do check my texts regularly and well get back to you promptly when I see that you are trying to reach me. Text at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) The NeighborhoodYour accommodations are on the water. You will rub shoulders sometimes with other boaters coming on and off the boat. They are neat folk and sometimes a bit unusual but fun. You are minutes from town but don't realize it when you are the boat. People are willing to talk and will happily answer any questions you might have. It's just a different environment and one everyone should experience. I have had many guests say that staying on "Singing Hallelujah" was the best kept secret in town and well worth the money to experience this type of life style. Getting AroundYou are just blocks away from local transet. There is a bus schedule on the boat. I have suggested that one could take the bus to the Washington State ferry which by car is 20" from the marina. You can walk on as a foot passenger and enjoy the wonderful town of Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. You could also take you bikes as a walk on and do a bike ride through some of the other Islands. There is a moped rental as well as kayak rentals close to the Marina Offices. Other Things to NoteRain or high winds could affect you stay but don't worry about it. Check the weather and bring rain gear to stay warm as you walk on and off the dock. Don't worry however you will always be safe at the dock. It is actually kind of fun to feel the slight rock of the boat and hear the wind blowing through the rigging.

The NeighborhoodFirst, you are staying in a typical Anacortes, friendly neighborhood! Most likely you will meet one of them. The local Farmer's Market is held on Saturdays. It is just a short 2 block walk from the house. The Harbor is a few blocks away as well. If you are in town for one of the many festivals, leave you're car at home and walk to Old Town where everything happens! Getting AroundYou will need a car to get around and about! Other Things to NoteWe prefer check out at 10:00 to allow time for our house cleaner to clean for the next guests. The SpaceThis is a private room in my home. It is about 10' x 10' with a queen bed, bedside table, small closet, and desk and computer you may use. It is called the 11th St Farm because permaculture principles have been used to catch rainwater, grow 7 varieties of fruits, many vegetables, and 5 chickens on a city lot. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the bathroom with claw foot tub and shower, the well-appointed kitchen, a computer with internet, and the backyard along with whatever fruit or veggies are growing there at the time. Interaction with GuestsMira, a teacher and naturalist, will be delighted to welcome you and give you the inside scoop on what is fun to do while in this historic, seaside town. If desired, she may be hired to lead a guided hike in the treasured Anacortes Community Forest Lands, Deception Pass State Park, or Washington Park, where you can watch porpoises feeding in the tide rips. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is nestled in the Old Town district of Anacortes. It is full of houses built near the turn of the 20th century, families with children who play outside, and sweet flower and "eat-your-yard" vegetable gardens around the homes. There is a community theatre, amazing public library, a school playground and a city park all within 2 blocks. The SpaceThis cozy, comfortably furnished and very private room, with it's private entrance from outside, is located midway between the center of Anacortes and the Washington State Ferry Terminal - five minutes drive to each. There is an adjoining private room, for up to two guests, with it's own bathroom, available just across the hall if traveling with family or with another couple. The owners are friendly retirees, happy to give you all the information you wish about our town and touring the area. If you want privacy, however, there is no need to see us except when getting your keys/lock code. A smaller window and two skylights give additional light to this bright room. On clear nights one can see the lights of the Grouse Mountain Ski Resort behind Vancouver, British Columbia. A small deck/balcony with a small table and chairs opens off the room, so you can have a drink while you see even more of the Islands and view a picturesque shipyard/marina below. You can also see the Washington State Ferry terminal from the balcony and watch the ferries come and go, as well as watch large ships glide up and down the Channel. A paved walking path encircles the facility, about a one mile stroll with pond, wetlands, beavers and songbirds in the back of the area. For the adventuresome, there are walking/running paths through the woods behind the wetlands, maintained by the school district. Great for a morning or evening walk. The whole area is very safe and crime-free. Interaction with GuestsWhile I do not provide a full "B and B" experience with a hot breakfast, I can set out a Continental breakfast of juice and pastries if you want. There is always a selection of instant or fresh ground coffee, including decaf, along with herbal teas. There is complimentry coffe and tea in the guest room. I list my maximum stay for 4 nights as I still work full time, leaving me little time to interact with my guests although I love to chat if I'm present. If you need extra nights' accommodations, feel free to ask. The NeighborhoodIt's quiet, it's safe and it has all the amenities I need close by. There are beaches to stroll, hikes to explore and pubs to enjoy with live music most nights. Terrific small owned-by-the- chef restaurants that specialize in healthy local foods. You can use the hot tub room, which is right outside your room. Also feel free to use our deck. The sunsets are killer. Interaction with GuestsWe're happy to help you plan your trip. We have some hiking maps and suggestions for things to do to help you make your trip awesome. We're also happy to share a glass of wine with you on our deck, providing the weather is good and its not too late. The NeighborhoodWe're in a quiet neighborhood on the hill above the ferry terminal, so it's really convenient if you're planning a trip to the San Juan Islands. Washington Park is a short distance away and it's got several beaches and trails. Getting AroundOur place isn't ideal for carless travelers. The bus at the bottom of the hill stops running by 6:30 and our location, out by the ferry, means that we're about 4 miles from town. Other Things to NoteWe have a friendly golden retriever named Dodger and a golden puppy named Daphne. The cats are ninjas and will leave you alone, but we can keep the pet gate up if our pups are a little too loving/annoying.

The SpaceThe Yes Room is a nice size room. Bright, airy and serene, it is a restful place for you to enjoy a good night's sleep. Help yourself to our well equipped kitchen to prepare your meals, then enjoy them under the colored lights of the deck. Please note that there is only one bathroom in the house, and that sometimes, there are several of us staying there at the same time - family style :) A friend wrote the following words, about our home: "Laura's home is sweet, refreshing, soothing. It has brightness and encouragement seeping out of the seams. Tucked away in every corner, it feels like basking. On a warm August day, it beckons you into coolness, its soft cross-breeze. "Relax, accept the goodness here, the goodness that is on its way." As when you wake up from the sweetest nap ever, you will arise to the friendly face of a dear friend, a conversation, full of sweetness and laughter. One of those moments when you distinctly recognized how steeped you are in blessings. It is not thequiet - at least not on a warm August day - inspiration to conquer or do, but the inspiration to slip into basking and appreciation. And when that is done, it may be time for company. Because you can really only handle so much basking and appreciation before it absolutely must be shared with family and friends. So, you cook in her adorable kitchen, you feed your loved ones, you soak up their inherent sweetness, and you beam from every nook and cranny of your soul, and your happy little body." Guest AccessYou are welcome to use the kitchen, living room, bathroom and yard. Washer and dryer, too. Interaction with GuestsYou will receive as much privacy as you would like. If I am able and you are interested, I will be happy to share with you whatever I know about the area. Meethra is always up for some loving. The SpaceThinking about a stay in Anacortes? Look no further! Our spacious cabin provides a combination of rural charm and modern convenience. The log home sits on a large, semi-wooded property, located in a residential neighborhood only five minutes from the center of town. The space is clean, quiet, fully furnished, and free of any personal belongings or clutter. There are three bedrooms and a loft, and it's an ideal place for a family trip (with a fully fenced yard to keep in your rugrats, but please leave your furry friends at home!) A twin mattress is also available on request. The cabin is reasonably wheelchair accessible, with a full ramp from the paved driveway to the ground floor of the house. Two bedrooms (one with a king size bed, one with a queen) and a full bath are located on the ground floor, including a tiled shower that can accommodate a shower chair (available) and a sink with no vanity below. There are two very spacious porches, wheelchair accessible from inside the house, without steps. Full laundry facilities and a fully equipped kitchen are also available on the first floor. Please note, both bedrooms and the living room are carpeted. The upstairs has a lovely bedroom with a queen bed, a bathroom with a full bathtub and shower. In addition, there is a large loft with a full size pull-out couch and a separate leather couch as well. Wifi is provided for the internet addiction, but we draw the line on that old fashioned need for television. Interaction with GuestsWe live close by and are typically available for any questions during your stay.

The SpaceCome on over! The Nest is a tiny, super sweet room off the kitchen (it most likely used to be the pantry, many years ago) which we love. Soothing aqua colors, a nice double bed to snuggle on, we are told that spending the night in The Nest is a bit like being on a boat. Please note that there is only one bathroom in the house, and that sometimes, there are several of us staying there at the same time - family style :) A friend wrote the following words, about our home: "Laura's home is sweet, refreshing, soothing. The SpaceOur space sits apart from our home so that guests will feel very comfortable coming and going as they please without worrying about noise. We have a carport for parking their car. We are within walking distance of downtown Anacortes . We do not serve breakfast but we are happy to place yogurt, cereal and milk or something on that order for you, in the fridge. There is a small coffee maker and coffee supplies provided as well as bowls, silverware, etc. I bake most Wednesdays so if you are around on a Wednesday, you may get an extra treat... Guest AccessGuests are welcome to enjoy our deck for watching the sun set. We have several delightful spots to do that. We invite guests to wander through the gardens as well. Interaction with GuestsWe are very outgoing and really enjoy talking with our guests but we are also respectful of their privacy. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is very friendly. It is also unique in its diversity. We have very high end homes but we also have a food bank. I think most people would be charmed by our neighborhood. It is an old and historic part of Anacortes. Lots of great stories about it. Getting AroundWalking is quite easy with most things (restaurants, movie theater, taverns, shops) to walk to. Driving is simple, as well, and parking is generally not a problem. Here is a link to hiking trails on Fidalgo Island. Anacortes, on Fidalgo Island, is home to a number of incredible all-season hiking trails. Need some extra guidance and personal reviews? We’ve chosen to link some of the best loved trails to user-submitted hiking guides listed on the Washington Trails Association‘s website.
