The SpaceLovely Eastside townhouse near Seattle and Lake Washington cities of Kirkland and Bellevue. Great bike trail to Seattle or Lake Sammamish near home. Free internet, street parking and cable TV. I have two bedrooms available; each room sleeps two: one room has a full sized bed, the other has two twins (one is trundle bed which gives extra space in the room when the bed is not in use). The room with the two twins has office space. Both rooms have lovely views of the historic Anderson building which McMenimens has purchased for renovation. Each room is $75 per night. Events can be held for $100 per night. Bothell is a small town with lots of families that love to walk into the downtown area just blocks from my townhouse. The Park at Bothell landing has great picnicing areas, the Sammamish River and Burke Gilman bike trails, paddle boards and kayaks and canoes for rent. Bikes can be rented in Kenmore from Bothell Ski and Bike. There are many resatuarants within walking distance: Pen Thai, Passion Tequila, Julio's, Gallo de Oro, Hana Sushi, Lyon's Pub, Sparta's Pizza, etc. Grocery shopping and Starbucks are also within walking distance. Washington University Bothel Campus is approximate 1/2 mile from my townhouse, as is the main bus transit center which travels into Seattle and other areas. Many local bus stops are a block away. Guest AccessGuests have a full bathroom that is right next to the guest rooms. Guests are welcome to use the laundry room, kitchen and living room during their stay. Interaction with GuestsI am happy when I get to know a little about my guests because I usually find we have things in common. I also am happy to give guests space to relax and recharge during their stay.

The SpaceNew 850 square foot basement apartment with full ceiling height and lots of lighting, and private/separate entry. Cook your meals in the full-sized kitchen that includes pots/pans/stockpots, utensils, silver-wear, plates/bowls/cups. The kitchen includes a full sized stove & dishwasher, side by side refrigerator, small microwave. **Sorry, no cooking bacon. (the smell just lingers too long and not everyone likes it, sorry). I have cleaning supplies: dish soap, dish washing powder, kitchen towels, scrubbers, etc. Hairdryer/Full-size Iron & Ironing board are in the apt (stored in the bathroom) **If you have an extra guest/child, you will need to add the extra person to the booking** Walk to: Bank of America, Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill, Arby's, Chinese, Subway, Tortas, Applebees, QFC Grocery Store, Bartell Drug Store, a burger place, Jack in the Box, Qudoba, Wendy's, and more. About the Security Deposit Airbnb will only charge the security deposit amount if an issue is reported by the host. Guest Access**A note about cleaning. Your space is CLEAN!!** I wash each set of sheets separately (from towels, or anything else) on hot water, extra rinse and spin. I wash all the towels separately, hot water, two wash/rinse cycle. I use eco detergent and Meyer's fabric softener, neither have chemicals. For the bathroom I use Clorox sanitizing wipes and wipe down every nook and cranny, and the entire toilet from top to bottom. The shower gets a full scrub down. The vanities and kitchen counters all get wiped down with Clorox sanitizing wipes as well. I make sure it is as spotless as possible for you. I know that's how I would like it for myself. And, I wash my hands before folding towels and sheets. Guests will have full, in/out privileges. Guest will enter basement apartment through a separate entry (see photos for details). Ample parking in front of the house. Not wheelchair accessible. Interaction with GuestsI love to meet new people and discuss travels; however, I completely respect your privacy! I am available to offer suggestions about the neighborhood and surrounding areas, including Seattle. The NeighborhoodCanyon Park is a fantastic location in Bothell, just minutes form the 405 and I-5 freeways. Walk to QFC grocery store, Applebees, Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill, and many smaller eateries and ethnic restaurants. Several banks are within walking distance as well. Seattle, The Eastside, Issaquah, Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, Everett, Marysville are an easy drive from Canyon Park. Getting AroundYes, there is public transit/bus stop within walking distance. Canyon Park has a large Park and Ride that will take you to the Lynnwood Transit Center; buses to everywhere and easy access to downtown Seattle. A great choice for a stay in Bothell, Comfort Inn Bothell - Seattle North is just 4.4 mi (7 km) from the airport. You can get a morning swim in at the indoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day. Nice touches like pillowtop beds with pillow menus are offered up in all rooms, along with flat-screen TVs and refrigerators.

The Space My home is on cul de sac in a quiet neighborhood close to grocery stores, small restaurants and 15 minutes from Juanita, Kirkland and Lake Washington. I am a 5 minute walk to the bus station to Bellevue, Woodinville winerys, Microsoft and across Lake Washington to Seattle and ferries to the San Juan Islands. The SpaceYour bedroom and bathroom are adjacent to each other and near the kitchen and living room. Our bedroom is at the end of the hall. We have another private bed and bath downstairs listed also that accommodates two people (see Clean, comfortable and well-located). Guest AccessYou're welcome to use the kitchen, living room, dining room and deck. There is a TV room downstairs that can be used based on mutual agreement, and a washer and dryer you're welcome to use at mutually agreeable times (free use and free detergent). Interaction with GuestsWe're available to help with any info you need during your stay and enjoy visiting with guests. If you prefer privacy, that is fine also. We get up and leave the house early. Diana returns to the house after 10:00 and often works from home. The NeighborhoodWe love it here - it's a great spot! You can walk to the grocery store (Safeway), Starbucks, and some restaurants from our house (bar and grill, Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, Greek). We are conveniently located to I-405, Evergreen Hospital and urgent care as well. We are equally close to downtown Bothell (charming) and downtown Kirkland (a lovely destination). There is a state park (St. Edward) within 5 miles with hiking trails through the woods and down to Lake Washington, as well as playfields and a playground. There are many lovely parks nearby, including Juanita Beach and Juanita Bay parks on Lake Washington only 2 miles away. We are less than 2 miles to the Burke-Gilman/Lake Sammamish River Trail - a paved bike and pedestrian trail that extends from Redmond in the east all the way into Seattle, as far as Ballard. Fabulous hiking in the North Cascade Mountains is reachable within an hour. Kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals are available in multiple locations nearby. Getting AroundYou can catch a number of buses in walking distance, including to downtown Kirkland, Bellevue and Seattle. Park-and-ride lots are a great way to access Seattle if you have a car. We're happy to help with bus and driving routes. If you want to rent a car, Enterprise is nearby and will pick you up from our house and take you to your rental car. Other Things to Note- You can park on the street in front of the house and use the front door to come and go. - Our House is 4 miles from downtown Kirkland, 3 miles from downtown Bothell, 7.5 miles from downtown Redmond, 11 miles from downtown Bellevue and 20 miles from downtown Seattle. - Buses to downtown Kirkland, Seattle, Redmond and Bellevue are close by, as is a direct bus to UW Bothell campus. If you have a car, nearby park-and-ride lots allow you to skip navigating the Seattle traffic and parking hassle. - Groceries and restaurants are an easy walk away. - We have two indoor cats who are allowed out on the deck, but not out in the yard. Therefore, we ask that you keep outside doors closed and cats inside (or on deck).

The SpaceWelcome to our home - our favorite place in the world! Your bedroom with queen bed and bath are downstairs and ours are upstairs for a natural separation of spaces, while allowing for friendly sharing of the common areas. Bathroom is stocked with supplies and clean towels/linens are provided. In-room coffee/tea set-up with mini fridge just outside your door (so the noise doesn't disturb your sleep). Up to two additional people may be accommodated on a comfy, queen futon bed in the downstairs living room, adjacent to your bedroom, for the extra person fee. We have another room for one person with full bed and private bath listed also (see Comfy, Private Bed/Bath in Kirkland). Guest AccessGuests have exclusive access to their bedroom, bathroom and mini fridge. You're welcome to use the common areas: upstairs kitchen, living room and deck; downstairs back patio, living room and laundry room (free wash, dry and detergent). You are welcome to use our dishes, pots/pans and spices for cooking. There is a side driveway on the SIDE of the house that's all yours, close to the back entrance which provides the most direct access to your room. Interaction with GuestsWe're available to provide information to help you make the most of your stay: places to go, activities, public transportation, best travel routes, nearby parks, etc.. The only TV is downstairs, so we may see each other and perhaps and enjoy movies, sporting events, etc. together. Feel free to be upstairs too, we're happy to see you! We especially recommend spending time on the deck and down by the creek on our bench to relax and enjoy nature. There's just something about the deck - it's a sanctuary! The NeighborhoodWe love it here - it's a great spot! I live in this condo with 2 roommates. The sofa bed is in the living room, so you won't have much privacy. One person tend to wake early around 6:30AM and use dinning room, kitchen and bathroom, so if you're light sleeper, this won't be a good fit. Can provide blanket, towels, and bedsheet. Pool is open in the summer. Must sign liability release form. You should be neat and clean up after yourself.

The SpaceOur home has an unique history, it was originally constructed in 1920 at the peak of the Craftsman home era in the Seattle University District and was moved to Bothell in the 1950s to make way for the I-5 interstate. The space is a ground level apartment with private entrance, 2 bed rooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen/dinning area, laundry room and gym at 1,400 sqft. The host lives upstairs and do not share any common areas with the lower unit. In 2015, the space was updated with hardwood floors, crown molding, and wainscoting that matches the rest of the home. Guest AccessAs you drive down 9th avenue our house has a white picket fence and green trees. You will turn into the private drive shared by just 3 homes and parking is in the rear of the house with the private guest entrance on the ground floor. A lock box is available and the code is changed with each guest. Currently, both guests and the host park in the rear of the house so please park to allow room for both cars. Should guests have more than one car additional parking is available on the street in front of our white picket fence. Interaction with GuestsWe typically like to meet guest on arrival to share things about the space. Also, we are available for anything you may need, as we live on the premises and can be reached via airbnb, text, or phone call. Other Things to NoteOur house is 96 years old so it has its sounds be it creeks in the floor or water pipes in the walls but we are glad to call it home and share it with you! Turn the shower only to the "H" as it will turn cold again if turned past that point. We have 2 cats,Toro and Maki (kitten) and they are awesome. I'm talking about walks on a leash awesome, they are not permitted in the space but have run down durring cleaning when a door has been left open on accident so those with allergies please be aware. The hosts live on the 2nd floor so you will hear us from time to time (it is a 100 year old house) but we are typically not in the house from the early morning until the late afternoon. The floors are separated by a stair case with a locked door and there are separate locks for the different entrances ensuring the entire apartment is exclusively the guests space.

The SpaceThis is a downstairs bedroom and bath with a large family room a few steps away. The family room has a daylight walk out sliding door to a large private and covered patio. We do have a gas grill that you may use once you've coordinated with the hosts. The yard doesn't have the best grassy area due to our very large pine trees, but we do have a horse shoe pit and a ladder game available for outdoor play. Guest AccessGuests will have their own private walkway around the house and parking to the side of the garage. The entire lower level is available for guest use, but the host does work in a part of the family room in her sewing studio after 9 am until approximately 4 pm. Interaction with GuestsWe'd love to visit with our guests if they wish, as we'd love to know where they're from, what they do, etc. Come upstairs for conversation and a cup of tea! The NeighborhoodWe live in an area where they haven't cut down all the trees to build the neighborhood. Our area is on a hill with forest all around us. If you're lucky, you'll see some wildlife - we have raccoons, hummingbirds, owls, woodpeckers, squirrels, coyotes and bobcats. Getting AroundWe are not very close to public transportation, so a vehicle is pretty much mandatory both to get to our home or to visit the area. The airport is about 45 minutes away on a good traffic day, and could be much more if it's not a good traffic day. Ferries to the Olympic Peninsula are about half an hour away, and on weekends the waits can be significant. Other Things to NoteWe've lived in the Seattle area for 20 years, so although we're not natives, we do know a lot of places to visit and some of the hidden gems. Don't hesitate to ask for guidance about things to do. We also have blankets available for football or baseball games... just let us know what you need.

The NeighborhoodBeautiful Downtown Kirkland is only 5 minutes away and Juanita Beach is only 1 mile down the street. Seattle Park Place Market is about a 15 minute drive. There are wonderful restaurants throughout downtown Kirkland, Bellevue, and Redmond. There is a fun movie theatre called ipic (URL HIDDEN) Another fun adventure is the famous Ride the Duck of Seattle, which I highly recommend. If you enjoy wine tasting Woodinville is wonderful. They are famous for their 100's of wineries all within a 5-10 mile radius. Chateau Saint Michelle is a top pick and one that often features concerts. If you enjoy hiking a few of my favorite hikes are Wallace Falls in Gold Bar (30 minute drive), Mt. Si in North Bend (about 25 minute drive), Snolqualmie Falls (about a 25 minute drive) and Snolqualmie has a restaurant with a gorgeous view of the waterfall called The Dining Room and also a more casual restaurant called The Attic. (Be aware, though, that if the toddler is up you may have to dodge him running around!) The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood, Fox Creek, is one of the new communities popping up in Lynnwood. As you drive into the neighborhood you get a great mountain view. In spring the air is sweet and in summer blackberries fall off the vines along the green belt trail. Fall and winter is a perfect time to head out to any of the nearby national parks to hike, and then come home and cozy up with a hot chocolate. Getting AroundCar services like Uber, and cabs, are readily available. Bus stops are in the area, but they are a longer walk from the house. Other Things to NoteOther people live nearby so quiet is a must. However, neighbors sometimes have lots of guests over and parking may be cramped. At those times we will work out what would work best.
