Other Things to NoteIt takes about 15-20 minutes to walk downtown to the Seattle or Port Orchard ferries. If you are doing work at the Shipyard, you can walk out the door and join the stream of workers heading that way every weekday morning. Olympic College is about a 5 minute walk to the nearest point. If I'm available, I can pick you up from the ferry. (If I'm not, I will make sure there is someone here to greet you when you first arrive. The SpaceThis space is reminiscent of an 1890s boarding house and is much more than a typical AirBnB space. You won't be disappointed seeing the house in person!      Built from 2004-2006 by a local construction professional, this house is true to the plans to George Franklin Barber's Design #21 variation "D" from 1892. The details inside and outside are amazing. Trim details include hand-cut molding and wainscoting, Victorian floral wallpaper, finials, generous lighting, hardwood and berber carpet flooring. Independent wall heaters in each room to allow all to be comfy even when the weather is chilly. Guest AccessThis listing is for a single bedroom + common areas:       ֍ "Red" Bedroom: This bedroom faces the front of the house and lawn. Chest dresser and large closet for storing your belongings. Antique mirrored makeup table.      Tall Full/Double bed (ie, a size smaller than a Queen). Accommodates 1 adult or 2 children very well, for 2 adults you'll be sleeping close together on this bed. We plan to upgrade the bed soon but if you want more space please look at the Master Bedroom listing.       ֍ Hallway Bathroom: Full bath for the Red bedroom. Large vanity sink, full size shower/tub.       ֍ Kitchen (shared): Antique styled modern appliances including a 6 burner gas stove and oven, separate electric convection oven, microwave, dishwasher and roomy refrigerator. Half bath serving the main floor      Basic breakfast items (eggs, bread, coffee, tea, cereal, milk, butter & spices) in the kitchen are available. Each room has space in the refrigerator for you to bring your own food.  ֍ Formal Dining (shared): Table with space for 6-8 people. Also useful for working on your laptop.       ֍ Sitting Room (shared): Full couch, overstuffed chair and chaise lounge provide a comfortable place relax. Vintage mantled fireplace, ceiling fan and bay window.       ֍ Outdoor Area (shared): Front porch and separate covered outdoor party dining area allow you to get a breath of fresh air while not worrying about misty weather. Interaction with Guests ֍ Your hosts live on-site in our separate basement apartment. On typical days we sleep in and are usually available until midnight or later. We often work from home in the basement or garage and so are usually available for any concerns.       ֍ Our mini-mastiff (80lb) considers it her job to be our secondary doorbell. If you have a severe allergy to dogs, we can not guarantee no dander present. For those with mild allergies we make an effort to keep the house clean ... just let us know and we can keep her in the basement apartment. The NeighborhoodFar enough away from the bustle of the Seattle Metro to feel like a getaway for folks from that region ... but with easy access to downtown Seattle via the Ferry or Tacoma via highway driving. Bremerton is a nice balance of size, service and distance. Our home is in the Tracyton neighborhood. Other Things to Note ֍ PETS AND CHILDREN: We are pet and child friendly but due to the details throughout, we base each reservation with children and/or pets on a case-by-case basis.       ֍ OTHER LISTINGS: We have other bedrooms available as separate listings as well as a listing to book the whole house (which will block off the individual listings, giving you the place with no other guests). Please see our profile for the related listings and reviews.       ֍ ACCESSIBILITY: All bedrooms and baths are upstairs. The main entrance has 3 outside steps. The path from the drive to the walking path is on a short slope. These may be issues for those who require a wheelchair.
