Out back you will find a private, spacious deck (575 sq ft.) overlooking 200' of meandering Yellow Hawk Creek with patio seating, while inside the wood burning fireplace and cozy studio invoke rest and relaxation. This European-like setting is just minutes away from wineries either by foot, bicycle, or car. This is a great location for bicycle rides and/or leisurely walks! Complimentary bicycles make this a terrific option for countryside rides or touring the nearby wineries right from your own front door! (Bring own helmets!) Easy access to amenities and downtown attractions coupled with shady-tree, rural ambiance provides the perfect mix for get-a-way seclusion and convenience.
NOTE: The cottage is a stand-alone unit on the same property as the owners (40' away).
BREAKFAST & More: Our guest house/suite is a unique listing in that is a HYBRID combination B&B;/Vacation Rental: For those choosing not to eat breakfast out at a local restaurant, Peppers Bridge offers a tasty Continental Breakfast with beverages, as well as mini-kitchen facilities complete with dishes, pots, stove top burners, fridge, microwave, and Keurig Coffee/Beverage unit with K-cups, to accommodate any life-style adventure choices (note the amenities section). NEW! Igloo ice maker for unlimited cubes/chilling beverages. Breakfasts are brought to the guest suite at your requested time and setting choice.
MINIMUM Stays: Although there is a TWO night stay minimum policy, especially during peak season, week-ends, and special community events, a ONE NIGHT stay during the week (Monday -Thursday) can be accommodated. Just inquire!
Although we do not have liquor license to serve alcohol at this point, guests are welcome to bring and enjoy any beverages of their choosing.
The suite has WiFi, an Entertainment Center: 32"TV monitor (AIR TV-local channels); Sony Internet Audio & Video Blu-ray Disc/DVD player with built -in Wireless LAN for NetFlix...; indoor/outdoor furniture; QUEEN sized bed with push, memory foam mattress is a Murphy style which lifts to expand living areas during day hours. For an extra person/family member: The sofa opens up to a Double/Full bed size with a 3" comfy, memory foam topper, and this 2nd bed will be set up prior to arrival WITH notification by phone or email. A portable, privacy divider can be added to separate sleeping areas. There is a 3 piece bathroom (note amenities) and complimentary His & Hers robes.
CYCLIST'S PARADISE: Bicycle to the surrounding wineries on FOUR complimentary bicycles -- 7 speed Cruiser style! (Guests must bring own helmets.) The south side winery loop is approximately 14 miles, but 6 different routes range from 16 to 50 miles. Bicycle Maps available in the suite or email hosts for online information. Bicycle baskets enable you to carry wine selections to the Suite or some wineries will deliver your selections before your departure.
Guests have access to the grounds, deck, patio furniture, wet bar, medley of interior/exterior "mood" lighting options, patio deck heater, outdoor grill, fire pit, wood for fireplace, any kitchen equipment, board games (by request). A Guest Manual with operating instructions for appliances, dishes, utensils, steam iron and mini-iron board, visitor guides/maps, as well as a safety kit and instruction is located in the Suite. Cindy is happy to provide you with any information about current community happenings, restaurant recommendations, or other "How-To" find events.

Weekly/Monthly rates through Flip Key are without breakfast. However, the breakfast option is possible through the special offer booking tab or via onsite with the Hosts.
PETS/ANIMALS: Owners have an older Labrador Retriever (10 yrs). In addition, located on this one acre lot are a few ducks, and chickens on a corner piece â€“ opposite and away from the guest house. However, since the creek flows along the north boundary, the ducks will swim on the Yellowhawk from Peppers Bridge to Old Milton Bridge, occasionally wandering across the front lawn to return to the water. This is the main reason we have a no pet policy at this point.
We value your PRIVACY and will usually be out of sight unless guests have questions or would like to chat over their getaway plans/ideas. Note RE Roadways & Tourism: During peak season, Old Milton Hwy can have have increased traffic due to fabulous south side winery events as well as the growing local Tourist Industry which is beyond the owners control. Fortunately, traffic is randomly only during certain events and/or time of the day during peak tourism. Since most wineries grow alfalfa, the occasion tractor or combine during harvest sessions can add to the ambiance as well as south-side activity.

This private BnB/Vacation Suite is located on a triangular-shaped countryside property on the corner of Peppers Bridge Road and Old Milton Highway- the east side of Hwy 125. From Highway 12, there are two exits that take you to this southwest location: 125 Prescott/Pendleton and Myra Road, College Place turn off OR the 2nd street exit which connects with W Poplar, 9th street south and then Hwy 125.Landmarks are Beresan, Balboa, Peppers Bridge and Amavi wineries to the south; Isenhower & Dusted Valley to the east; Basel Cellars to the west; the Wal-Mart Super Center is to the north and across the highway. A blue and white sign identifies the property. Parking is conveniently onsite, so guests can come and go as they please: vehicles remain safely off-road during the night. Detailed directions are given to confirmed guests a few days before arrival.
The convenience to the Southside wineries is a real treat: the guest suite faces the vineyards confirming the reality that you are in "wine country." This is a great area for bicycle riding or leisurely walks up Peppers Bridge hill. 7 speed Cruiser style bicycles are available for guest use: please provide your own helmets if desired. To the east and south, fields are filled with not only grapes but grains and numerous vegetables. Each direction offers great countryside views - residential houses are few and far between. The airport is located in the opposite corner (NE) of the city but airport exits merge onto Hwy 12 and then intersect with highway 125/11 via Myra Road to bring you within 1/2 mile of Peppers Bridge via Old Milton Hwy.
Although the immediate setting is rural, convenience is only a mile away with Walmart, Meadowbrook Strip Mall, fast food, Red Box...). Safeway Plaza is only two miles away offering some dining opportunities and services (The Brik dining, Starbucks...). Downtown attractions are immediately accessible via the "highway" for a short 10 minute drive. As well, Oregon is a mile south, opening up additional tourism features, fresh produce, wineries....A major public transit hub is at Walmart (along with a small strip mall offering goods & services), and from there you can connect/travel to any significant part of the small city.
