The SpaceThis house is in Glacier, Wa and is the last stop before heading up the road to Mt. Baker. You can hear the river out the window, walk through the woods and pick mushrooms and then go for a hike out your back door. Or, go ski the deepest snowpack in North America - it's up to you! We have a great kitchen, record player with plenty of retro vinyl, a guitar and banjo. This place is quiet and suited for relaxing in one of the many recliners. Chair9 is an easy walk for those looking for some live music and to meet new friends. You can also get internet here for those that need to check in with the real world. In the summer, Church Mountain is in your backyard. The alpine meadow up there will make you feel as if you're in the middle of the swiss alps. It's one of my favorite hikes in the Pacific Northwest. You'll see more wildlife in 2 hours than you will elsewhere all summer. Other Things to NoteDue to Snowline rules and regulations. You'll have to complete the following form. This is very important. This helps keep Snowline safe and protects people's property. Moreover, we have to pay a small fee for people using our property and it ensures that we don't get fined. Let us know if you have any questions: (URL HIDDEN) Also, please review the guest rules and regulations here: (URL HIDDEN)

In the summer, enjoy our large deck after a solid hike or mountain bike ride and if you have relatives with a camper, we have a perfect level parking spot with power and water. For additional guests, the couch folds into a very comfortable full size bed with all of the appropriate bedding. We do want to keep the guest number to 4 people so the place stays nice for everyone. There is a washer and drier for your laundry needs, as well as a drying rack by the wood stove for your mountain gear. in the winter, Glacier is great for downhill skiing, world class powder at Mt. The SpaceImportant note: Though we have accommodations for up to 5 guests, if one couple books a room first we will usually block off the other room, so this couple (or single guest) may have complete privacy! The first room is a 12' X 12' queen bedroom suite designed out of Fir logs to emulate a traditional "Alaskan Cache". We nickname this room the "Bear Tower" taken from the original function of a frontier cabin's storage of food out of reach of predatory wildlife. Ours, though, has skylights, baseboard heating, deluxe box refrigerator and programmable satellite TV. The second sleeping quarters (15' x 17') is what we call the "Gameroom" situated over the carport, complete with regulation-size billiard table, backgammon kit, a sampling of photography, art and music paraphernalia. Satellite TV with a great selection of movie and concert tapes. The double futon sleeps two comfortably and in addition there is a twin bed available. Please let us know which of the two rooms you would prefer as our recommendation is that the Queen bed in the Bear Tower is more suitable for couples. The third room is a common room which we call the "Sun Room" because of extensive vertical glass construction. Here, any guests can gather to watch movies, read or relax. There is a box refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with assorted teas; breakfast available each morning made fresh from our family farm. Additionally, a Bow Flex stair-climber can be used on pre-approval (no youth or children please). There is a landline phone here for important calls and Wi-Fi everywhere. Finally, your bathroom (5' x 12') - featuring a cast iron claw foot tub with British telephone faucet / hand shower. The hot water never runs out as it is supplied by a tankless propane water heater. Lay back in home-made bath bombs soaking away those tired Baker-induced muscles using your caddy for wine or reading and even watch TV. We provide two plush terry-cloth robes. FOR GENERAL LOCATION OF ALL ROOMS PLEASE CLICK ON MAIN PHOTO OF PROPERTY AND READ CAPTIONS Bonus amenities: For those wanting a complete relaxation massage, Barbi will be available for most evenings at your request. This would be conducted in a private room with exclusive availability of our hot tub either before or after the appointment. The hot tub is only for this massage package offer. Ask for details and fees. Barbi has exceptional experience and once worked for the MLB Cincinnati Reds. Guest AccessWe are located 35 minutes from Bellingham via Mt. Baker Highway 542 and 30 minutes from Mt. Baker Ski Area between the towns of Maple Falls and Glacier. The property sits on a very secure two acres with ample parking for several vehicles. You will have a separate, private walkway to get from your vehicle (at the front entrance) to the rooms, about a minute and a half walk. This access is well lighted and you will be emailed a map of the facilities and how to get to each dwelling. Once inside the front gate, you may see sheep, ducks or chickens as you come around the side of the buildings. Please give all animals the right of way and do not approach. Additionally, the barn at back of property is not for access. At an elevation of 865 ft., there is seldom large amounts of snow, yet for those few times, the drive and walkways should be plowed. There are rubber mats and outdoor carpets on all cedar decking leading to the rooms and for random icy conditions, a heat torch to melt problem areas. There are also places to store your winter equipment outdoors but protected from the elements. Rooms are one night minimum stay except during holidays in which they become two nights. Interaction with GuestsWe can accommodate any guest preference for privacy or personal needs. For those that require a low maintenance initial access, we can have your key placed in a pre-determined location. Along with your map of the property, you would have no problems getting to your room unescorted. There are some minor show-and-tell particulars that would be helpful for us to go over with you at some point in the evening, i.e. operation of heating controls, etc. Also we may go into the Sun Room or Bathroom when unoccupied to check on any needs there. Each room will be inspected at your departure and we just ask for your utmost respect and care for all furnishings used. The NeighborhoodThe property is a quiet rural area flanked by similar acre-plus size lots on either side. You will not be disturbed by any neighbors, only a few "baas" by sheep around sunset when they are expecting their daily grain. The hamlet of Glacier is three miles east with a country store and three great restaurants but no gas station. Maple Falls is four miles west which you come through before getting to our home. The last gas is here with wi-fi, cel coverage and a wide variety of food and supplies. There are additional eating options here also. We are two hours from Seattle and even closer to Vancouver, B.C and 25 minutes from Abbotsford, B.C. via Highway 547. Other Things to Note1) The bathroom would be shared among both rooms if they are rented on the same day. We will usually only rent both rooms for groups of 3 to 5. 2) Smoking is Not accepted in any rooms or outside decks. Please smoke only at parking areas 3) We appreciate a quieter environment after 10 pm 4) Please do not linger with non-residing guests on the property, this is a private setting 5) Do not handle any sourvenir artifacts displayed in any of the rooms 6) The landline phone is free locally, inquire about long distance and no international calls without a phone card. 7) When both rooms are occupied on the same night, Satellite TV in all four rooms is only programmable from the "Bear Tower" guests. The Gameroom and Sunroom have movie/music videos as an option if you don't like the channel that is selected. 8) We love all animals but because of unique farm setting - No Pets please, sorry.

The SpaceImportant note: Though we have accommodations for up to 5 guests, if a couple books one room first we will usually block off the other room so this couple (or single guest) may have complete privacy! The first room is a 12' x 12' queen bedroom suite designed out of Fir logs to emulate a traditional "Alaskan Cache". We nickname this room the "Bear Tower" taken from the original function of a frontier cabin's storage of food out of the reach of predatory wildlife. Ours, though, has skylights, baseboard heating, deluxe box refrigerator and programmable satellite TV. The second sleeping quarters (15' x 17') is what we call the "Gameroom", complete with regulation-sized billiard table, backgammon kit, a sampling of photography, art and music paraphernalia. Satellite TV with a great selection of movie and concert tapes. The double futon sleeps two comfortably and there is an additional twin bed.
