My family and I live in a two story, 5 bedroom, house in a nice residential area In Bellevue with my Grandmother, Grandfather, Sister, an international student from Japan and our dog named Max. My sister and I attend Bellevue College as students, and love it! Our home is one short bus ride away from popular places such as Bellevue college, Downtown Bellevue and Factoria Mall. We have a large open living room with a tv that is a perfect area for hanging out with friends and watching movies together whenever you'd like. Our large kitchen is also available for any time you'd like to cook, however, my grandma is the best cook around so you should try her cooking first!

    Conveniently located & functional space. It's complete with quality furnishings, reserved parking, 24-hour gym with cable television, & clubhouse with a reading area, plus a laundry facility onsite. It's all you need to feel at home, away from home. THE SPACE: The unit is a very spacious studio (about twice the size of a standard hotel room) and is tastefully decorated, situated on a hill overlooking the valley below. It is professionally maintained and landscaped. The unit has a private entry with a front stoop, which can pass as a small porch. The condo community has a laundry facility on site, for your laundry needs. The kitchen is large with black aggregate marble/granite counter top and flooring. Appliances in the kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwaves (2 of them), toaster, kettle, coffee maker, espresso machine, rice cooker, slow cooker, blender, food saver, as well as plates, pots, pan, bowls, cutlery, vases and Tupperware, in addition to basic tools and cleaning supplies. There is also a pitcher with a water filter in the fridge so you don't have to worry about buying water. The bathroom is luxurious and is completely covered in slate tile, with excellent water pressure and a seat for those who don't like to stand in the shower. The bed is a true bed (queen size), which is thick, comfortable and sturdy. And there is also extra bedding supplies and a twin size cot, if needed. The unit has hardwood bamboo floors and recessed lighting with dimmers throughout. There is a wood burning fireplace, for those cold days/night (though you must provide your own wood and kindling). There is a flat screen television, which is mainly used for movies. Lots of DVD selection are provided for your entertainment. In addition, there are Redboxes (DVD and game rental machines) at the nearby Albertsons and QFC. There are chords provided for those who want to connect their game console or other media device(s). There is sensor lighting outside the unit, for your safety and convenience. Wifi is available in the unit, and it is quite fast for Mercer Island. It will allow you to stream television programming and other videos. And it will work well even with multiple devices connected at the same time. Please note that the condo community is on a hill and because so, the unit itself will have a stairwell between the parking space and the front door. However, guest(s) can temporarily park near the building and (un)load which cuts the stairwell to just a few steps. IDEAL FOR: Excellent for those on a long vacation to the the Seattle metro area and want to feel like a local and for those temporarily making a move to the city or in a life transition. The unit is located in the town center of Mercer Island and is within walking distance to boutique and chain stores, restaurants, bars, banks, and other establishments. There is a community park (Mercerdale) at the bottom of the hill which has a playground for kids, a path for joggers or walkers, and a big open field, as well as a skateboard ring. And, within a mile is the island's main park (Luther Burbank) which has beach access, tennis courts, basketball courts, dog parks, and more including the island's community center. Walking is possible to most businesses on the island. For those using a vehicle: Five minutes drive gets you to the I-90 east or west bound. You can drive to downtown Seattle (7.0 miles) or downtown Bellevue (4.7 miles) in approximately 12 minutes, mostly on highway roads. For those using public transportation: The main bus station for Mercer Island is within walking distance from the unit (0.4 miles), but local bus stops within Mercer Island only, are much more closer.

The bathroom is luxurious and is completely covered in slate tile, with excellent water pressure and a seat for those who don't like to stand in the shower. The NeighborhoodThe unit is located in the town center of Mercer Island and is within walking distance to boutique and chain stores, restaurants, bars, banks, and other establishments. If you want to get to Mercerdale Park a little faster (just at the bottom of the hill), here's what you do. As you go out of the driveway, turn right towards the end of the street. You'll see a stairwell that goes up in between the buildings ... go up the stairs and at the top, the stairs will change to go straight down to the business area of the town center next to the park. Getting AroundWalking is possible to most businesses on the island. For those using a vehicle: Five minutes drive gets you to the I-90 east or west bound. You can drive to downtown Seattle (7.0 miles) or downtown Bellevue (4.7 miles) in approximately 12 minutes, mostly on highway roads. For those using public transportation: The main bus station for Mercer Island is within walking distance from the unit (0.4 miles), but local bus stops within Mercer Island only, are much more closer, though they don't come as often. For the intrepid, there is a bike path connecting the island to Seattle or Bellevue. It's possible to bike almost anywhere in the area. You'll need cross on one of the I-90 bridges to get to either city. But the bike paths are secured with barricades to keep traffic away. Also, bikers on the weekends are abundant on Mercer Island, so it's common to see people on bikes. Other Things to NoteThe condo community is on a hill, and because so, the unit itself will have a stairwell between the parking space and the front door. However, guest(s) can temporarily park near the building and (un)load which cuts the stairwell to just a few steps. So you MUST be able to traverse stairs with no issues in order to stay here. There is a private locked laundry facility on-site for your laundry needs. Excellent for those planning a vacation to the the Seattle metro area and want to feel like a local and for those temporarily making a move to the city or in a life transition.

    The SpaceMy home is less than 12 minute drive to Seattle or Bellevue. Easily accessible by car, its 2 minute drive to either directly into the I-90 freeway OR to the Mercer Island Park & Ride to take the bus. It is a great retreat from a busy day, whether you are here to attend a Sporting Event, business meeting, convention, visiitng family or just vacationing. Kick your shoes off, relax . Put your feet up. , pet the dog, see whats in the fridge. Most of all, make yourself at home. The NeighborhoodMercer Island is the perfect retreat from the bustling activities of Seattle. It is a clean, safe, place for walking, bicycling, dining & grocery shopping. A 30 minute stroll can take you from my home to the downtown area or to Luther Burbank Park on Lake Washington or the new Community Center free views w wi fi, & gym passes by the day. Within 10 minutes you can swim at the Mary Waite Public swimming pool (only 2 blocks away), or play tennis at Mercer Island High School on summer evenings & weekends. Nearby are a variety of Churches & Synagogues. And downtown Mercer Island area where you can easily find anything you need. There is an abundance of of shops, offices, doctors, dentists, opticians, restaurants, post office & UPS. There is New Seasons & OFC grocery store, RiteAid & Walgreens. - Farmers market Sundays late spring & summwr. A speedy drive east on I-90 gets you to BellevuecSquare for upscale shopping & dining or to Factoria Mall to Target, TJMaxx , Wall Mart etc all with free parking . Head West on I-90 and in moments you are in Downtown Seattle historic tourist spots, Pike Place Market, the Origional Starbucks, the Sport Arenas, and popular northwest culture and nightlife. Getting AroundCar, taxi, UBER are great options for getting around OR to and from the Mercer Island Bus station, Amtrak Train or Seattle Light Rail system. There is a Mercer Island City Bus system, however its IMPERATIVE to check their current schedule and running times. Other Things to NoteMy dogs name is Jadey, he is 11+ years old & moving slowly these days with bad arthritis in his knees. He will bark LOUDLY upon your arrival, you will be welcomed as his best friend within moments. YOU determine how much interaction YOU prefer with him by either encouraging him with words and attenrion OR Easily DISCOURAGE HIM with a firm "no", "leave it", ignoring him or a quick swish in the air with your hand and he will leave you alone.

The NeighborhoodMercer Island is a upscale but relaxed community--sort of jeans and sweatshirt kind of wealth. MI is a city in its own right, but more like a suburb of Seattle with bridges and a moat :-) My home is an updated, single story, midcentury ranch home on a low key street. Getting AroundEASY BUS RIDE : ($3 in 2013) from the Park'n Ride station on Mercer Island to Seattle. This bus goes west to the International District Station, near Quest Filed, Pioneer Square. Belltown, Seattle Center, the Space Needle, the EMC, Seattle Waterfront ,Pike Place Market and east into Factoria & Bellevue. 1 1/2 blks from my house is the 202 Bus that connects to the MI Park n Ride, my family has taken it for years .however every year it gets worse only running appx every 1/2 hour, and it does NOT run late at night and less frequently on the weekends. ** Michael & I have been known to give our guests a quick lift to the the Park n Ride (just 5 min by car from my house) ***just let us know ahead of time. There is an express bus from Mercer Island to the UW that runs each direction once a day- please check their current schedule. Other Things to NoteSCCA is about a 12 minute drive. Great for business and pleasure travelers since we are conveniently located to both Seattle and the Eastside with easy freeway access and public transportation. We are an easy drive to Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Renton, Issaquah. Private, detached studio guesthouse with off-street parking, air conditioning, wi-fi, cable TV, and a clean, modern look all on a quiet, dead end lane. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for simple meals including an under counter fridge and freezer, cooktop stove. toaster oven, kettle, and coffee makings. Full bathroom with tub and shower. The NeighborhoodWe love Mercer Island and think it is one of the best locations in the Seattle area. We are 3 minutes to the freeway and are about equidistant to Bellevue and Seattle. There is an express bus 5 minutes away that will take you to Seattle or Bellevue. The Mercer Island village is quaint with shopping, restaurants and a seasonal Sunday Farmers Market. There are plenty of parks and beaches within minutes. Our favorite beach spots are Luther Burbank park. Groveland Beach and Clarke Beach on the island and Enatai Beach park in Bellevue 5 minutes away. There is good grocery shopping within 5 minutes including a fish market that sells growlers and fish and chips. Whole Foods is 10 minutes away. This is a great location for both leisure and business travelers. We are 20 minutes by car to the airport. You are also close to Redmond, Issaquah, Kirkland and the rest of the eastside. Mercer Island is well-known for safety, There is very little crime and you are safe to walk around, even at night, by yourself. The only hazard will be the darkness but we are happy to loan you a headlamp or two. Getting AroundPublic transportation hub is nearby though it is useful to have a car to get to the transportation hub. Easy access to the freeway and Seattle, Bellevue and the eastside. Seattle is 10 minutes by car or by bus. Bellevue is 7 minutes. The express bus takes 10 minutes to get to downtown Seattle and runs frequently. It will take you to the stadiums as well if you are in town for a game. Parking in downtown Seattle is expensive so public transportation is an inexpensive way to go. Buses and sound transit use an ORCA card of pay $2.50 cash. You can purchase an ORCA card at a transit hub. Uber now comes to Mercer Island! Other Things to NotePlease park on the far left side of the car port when you arrive. The guesthouse entrance will be on your far right. There is a guestbook with all the information you need as well as lists of restaurants and things to do around town. The bathroom has shampoo, soap and a blow dryer as well as plenty of extra towels. There is also a small ironing board, iron, umbrella, beach towels, local travel books, and slippers in various sizes We have two cats who will not bother you unless you let them. Please do not let them into the guesthouse so we may maintain an allergy free zone.

    The SpaceYou will have a private 1 bed 1 bath in a Mansion in the famous Mercer Island. Free parking and wifi onsite. You can drive to either Seattle or Bellevue downtown in 10 minutes. The house is currently vacant without furniture. You will have one high-end queen size air mattress in your bedroom and a walk in closet. The air mattress has a built-in electricity pump, which is easy for you to adjust the pressure. If you have more than two guests, I can provide additional 1 to 4 bedrooms at $200 per additional bedroom per night. Each room will have its queen size air mattress and walk in closet. Two persons will share one private bedroom. You will have a private bathroom that is assigned to you and your friend. Other Things to NoteI will require the guest to email me a copy of the driver license or passport for security purpose as you would check into a hotel. If you have security concern to send them by email AND you have already have personal ID on file with airbnb, you are also welcome to present them when you check in.

Perfect for extra crowd coming for a business trip, holidays or overflow visitors to Seattle. We have 5 bedrooms all, 3 br in second floor and 2 br in the first floor. There are 1 kingsize bed,2 Queensize beds rooms in the 2nd floor. There are 1 kingsize bed bedroom and 2 Fullsize beds bedrooms in the 1st floor. And we have two sofabeds in living room. There are 2.5 bathrooms in the first floor and 1 full bathroom in the 1st floor. Guest AccessSelf check in! I put the house key in master lock . And I will send you the password one day before you arrive. Master bedroom has King size bed and the others have Queen or Full size beds. Big kitchen with new appliances. LOTS of space. Please do not park in our driveway, so we do not get blocked in!               The SpaceWe are just steps away from Lake Washington in a house that was built in 1931, one of the few remaining original waterfront homes on Mercer Island. There are 4 bedrooms, a basement den, 2.5 bathrooms and a bunkhouse near the garage. If you are interested in an additional room please inquire, we'd be happy to host more if/when able! There are 200 stone pavers leading down a beautiful winding slope from the garage on street level to the house at water level. Yes, you read that correctly, 200 (URL HIDDEN) not as difficult as it sounds, great for morning fitness, but not great if you have mobility issues. I walk the stairs in ~60 seconds without spilling a drop of coffee to start my morning commute. Due to the stairs the house is NOT ADA ACCESSIBLE. We've had many retirees stay with us, though it's not ideal for elderly folk or young children. While the stairs are not an issue for most, please keep them in mind when considering our place. Luggage and groceries can be heavy but it's well worth it and we'll help you carry things if you're concerned! We're happy to help!!! The main floor has two bedrooms, each with a comfy queen bed and a dresser and closet to unpack/hang your belongings. There is also a full bathroom with a cast iron tub. The main area is a large open living space with a comfy couch overlooking the lake, music player, and wood burning fireplace. The dining room is just off the kitchen with a six+ person table and more lake views. Sip coffee from the couch, deck or dock and enjoy breakfast at the table while looking out on the lake from the many windows! The Basement has the den with a fireplace and large flat screen TV with Netflix, Hulu and a very limited selection of local channels - sorry, we are not huge TV watching people! There is also a shower, toilet, sink, laundry and work bench in the mostly unfinished basement (the den is finished). Deck & Dock– We spend a lot of time out there, it's the lake…enjoy it! Bring your SUP (or use ours), Kayak, or Canoe for a read adventure! Parking – Free, easy and ample street parking is available as well as a place to store your bikes or other large items. Getting AroundAuto/Bike/Motorcycle: Getting to and from the house is fairly simple. From the Airport we are 25 minutes via both I-5 and I-405. Accessing Seattle or the Eastside (Bellevue, Kirkland, Renton, Redmond) is very easy since we are right in the middle, literally in the middle of Lake Washington, connected East-West by the I90 floating bridge! Without Wheels: Uber, Lyft or other taxi services cost $20 to/from Seattle and Bellevue. Public transit is also possible with a twice daily bus route at the end of the street. By boat/seaplane: you are welcome and encouraged to have a boat or seaplane drop you at the dock. Those areas that are not for your use are: bottom level of the house, the lower patio, lower driveway and the garage. Airbnb strips out phone numbers and emails in their messaging interface, so please send us your cell phone number and email spelled out, so we can exchange contact information to communicate quickly in case internet is unavailable. The NeighborhoodThis is an exclusive, quiet neighborhood accessed by a one-lane private road that winds down hill to waterfront homes. Mercer Island village is within walking distance with parks, shops, restaurants, gas stations, banks and a great local book shop called Island books where you'll meet friendly folks. Luther Burbank Park has a public beach and walking trails along the water as well as a wonderful playground. You'll find several parks, public beaches and a boat launch on the Island. Getting AroundCentrally located between Seattle and the "east side" (Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Issaquah), the house is only 1.5 miles from I-90; 3 miles to Seattle and 4 miles to Bellevue. It's a superbly convenient location! There is a Park and Ride just over the freeway to catch a bus into Seattle or to the east side (Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland). Other Things to NoteThe house is accessed by a one-lane private road. If another car comes, drivers must pull over in the turn-outs to let them pass. Parking is not allowed in the turnouts. Expect that occasionally the lane may be briefly blocked for delivery trucks. You are allowed to park up to 4 cars in the driveway. If 3 or fewer guests are registered, the 3rd bedroom will be configured as a den. Let us know if you require the 3rd bedroom, so we can configure the room with a queen-sized bed and appropriate linens. If the 3rd bedroom is not required, the futon will be configured as a couch. Do not try to use the futon as a bed without our help, it is tricky and we absolutely require special mattress covers and linens used. We do not provide daily maid service, but weekly cleaning service may be arranged for an extra charge upon request. Extra linens are provided upon request for guests to change their own towels and sheets. There is a full laundry room on-site, so guests can wash and change linens as needed.

As a former advertising art director, I have shared my collection of fine-art photographs plus a modern framed illustration by a noted, local Northwest artist. The space is sophisticated yet it has the easy comfort that many travelers seek. Guest AccessEntrance to the condo is but a few steps from the parking lot. The front door opens to an open-air, lighted entrance with a 24/7 lockbox. There are no long hallways and you have free-access to the entire condo (1,000+ sq. ft.), view deck and outdoor swimming pool (in season). With the many features of the condo, it's important that you know and understand how the appliances work, where to park and how to access the outdoor pool. Nestled among mature evergreen trees and lush landscaping, the condominium offers easy access to the Mercer Island village where a full spectrum of services, shops and restaurants are located. Mercer Island is an upscale residential community and is among the highest-income areas in Washington state, and is often noted as one of the best places in the country in which to live. Surrounded by Lake Washington, Islanders have fast access via Interstate 90 to Seattle or Bellevue either by auto or express-bus transit. Several city and county parks/beaches are within walking distance of Woodlake and the MI trail system runs next to Woodlake. Tennis courts, a public indoor pool and soccer fields are just blocks away. Getting AroundThe condo is located on a main bus line (Island Crest Way) or about six blocks from the Mercer Island Park & Ride facility. Buses to Seattle leave approximately every 15 minutes from early morning until 1:30 a.m. An Uber ride takes about 12 minutes to Downtown Seattle. Other Things to NoteTraffic in and around Seattle can be tough in the afternoon. Do plan on extra time when coming either from the airport or on the freeway from another city. I always ask my guests to update their estimated time of arrival on check-in day via text.

The 2 floors and 2800 sqft of space offer you a luxury stay. On the first floor, we have a living room, family room, kitchen, balcony, dining room, laundry room, 1/2 bathroom and small storage unit. 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms are located on the second floor. The master bedroom has a big bathroom, a walking closet, and a balcony. In total, there are 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 1 full bed, which is more than enough to accommodate 7 people. Several airbeds are available to accommodate extra guests (US$15 per guest per night after 7 guests). For the group of 7 or smaller, if you need airbeds, please let us know in advance. Every day, kids take the bus to commute to or from school. And the elderly often take a walk in this area. Annually, during the summer, our community will host two parties, like a big family that gets together, and sometimes we will invite local policy officers to the party, who ensure a safety environment for our community. Getting AroundThe bus stop is 1.2 miles away. Having a car is easier in this area and parking is easy around here, even in Seattle. Two minutes of drive to busy 405 highway. It is tucked away in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. The spacious room (500 sq ft.) comes with private bathroom, one super queen bed, one double bed, and a sofa bed.
