They can be rented individually or in conjunction for small family reunions and retreats. Year round elk on the property and in town. Access to Hall Creek (up Begonia Lane, before the bridge and to the left). Packwood is a quaint, small community of about 500 year-round residents and twice that during winter snow activities (White Pass: skiing/boarding) and summer recreation. There aren't many restaurants in Packwood, but those that are, are filled with friendly, local folks. They do have a world class coffee place, that roasts their own beans and bakes their own pastries: The Mountain Goat Coffee Roaster & Bakery (aka Butter Butte) and offer fireside Saturdays @ 8 PM RESTAURANTS: Cruiser's Pizza & Blue Spruce Saloon for dining & drinks (I hear BSS makes the best breakfast in town) & Cliffdroppers for hand-pressed hamburgers. Heavy rain or snow can cause road closures to national parks, hiking trails and occasionally skiing due to avalanches. However, Hwy 12 (White Pass Scenic Byway) is a major artery between the I-5 corridor and eastern side of WA. The state keeps it VERY WELL PLOWED! The lodge is 0.1 mi. from Hwy 12, on the same plowing rotation as downtown Packwood, allowing easy access to all our houses. Regardless, it is important to carry chains in the winter, because you won't be allow access to White Pass Ski area without them. During high fire season, you must abide by posted BURN BANS issued by the state, county and/or local fire department or fines may be levied! A burn ban means no recreational fires or use of charcoal briquette BBQs. Because Rainier View Lodge has a propane BBQ, grilling is allowed even during a burn ban.

The SpaceThis is a newly constructed cabin that has been constructed with wood accents to give it a rustic appeal. When you are outside, you can hear Hall Creek flowing back in the woods which really does give you a sense of "being away from it all". There are panoramic views of Mt. Rainier out the living room window and a wonderful 50-jet hot tub waiting for you to relax away in while you gaze at the stars. Guest AccessAll guests will have full use of the cabin and the hot tub. There is a State-wide burn ban in effect, so use of the fire pit and the charcoal BBQ are not allowed (sorry!). There is a storage closet in the lower level that is not accessible to guests (it contains maintenance equipment and supplies). Interaction with GuestsIf you are in need to contact us during your stay, we will be available by our telephone numbers that you should receive upon booking. The NeighborhoodOur Cabin is situated near the small mill-town of Packwood Washington. The cabin is located 7 miles from the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park; a park known for its abundant scenery, waterfalls, wild flowers, and hiking trails. White Pass ski area, with its wonderful ski area (where the Olympian Maher brothers trained) is a short 17 miles away. If you are interested in wines, Yakima is about 1.5 hours away offering an abundance of wineries. Our cabin is situated with one side fully facing an undeveloped forest that is home to numerous elk herds that frequently rome the property. The other side faces directly at Mt. Rainier. The lack of city lights allows the skies to come to life at night with star gazing opportunities…especially when enjoying them sitting in our 50-jet hot tub. Getting AroundSimply minutes from downtown Packwood via foot. Local sites such as Mt. Rainier National Park and White Pass Ski area are short drives by car. In the winter, you will need traction devices and/or chains (as per requirements by the State of Washington) for your vehicle. Other Things to Note$180/night weekend/holidays. $165 weekdays. $85 one-time cleaning fee. $300 refundable security deposit.
