The SpaceThe space is unique; functional & very user friendly. Walking distance to the Washington State Fairgrounds, the Sounder transit station, Sparks football stadium, and most of down town Puyallup. Architecturally, it is an engaging space with all sorts of ceilings and lofts. the bath room was newly renovated in 2011. everything is hand built and designed by the live-in architect. Guest AccessThere is a kitchenette (no range but a micro., an induction cooktop,& toaster oven) a wonderful fairly private roof deck, and great Great Room. Downstairs there is a washer and dryer and a real oven to use, , if you make arrangements. There are two stairs to the upper floor one inside and one outside, so you can easily come and go as you please. Interaction with GuestsIt is quiet here, I work down stairs with my (4) 90 year old plus live-in residents. The best time to talk to me is at breakfast. Some one is on site 24/7, but I hit the hay by 8pm. I have 2 loving dogs, all of whom want as much time with you as they can "nose in " on. if there is any thing you want to ask to me just come downstairs, I or one of my employees can usually spare a minute or two, while we are caregiving, to answer a quick question. The NeighborhoodDown town Puyallup has everything you would like nearby, old houses to see, a grocery store within a few blocks, the Washington State Fairgrounds two blocks away, the Public library and adjacent Park (with a great Farmers market in season) two blocks the other way. The school district sports stadium very near. And it is all on the flat, perfect for walkers and cyclists. There are many place to eat and lots of antique and other retail shops all within walking distance. Getting AroundThe closest bus stop is just 3 to 5 minute walk, the Sounder commuter station is 5 to 7 minutes away, that train system runs from Tacoma to Everett ( with just one connection to make for Seatac airport.)
By auto it is very easy to find, hiway 161 and hway 512 two freeway off ramp are all with in 1 mile. I have plenty of off-street parking for guests. If you are asking anyone for directions just ask for the route to the Washington Fair it is very well known in western Washington. Other Things to NoteResevations taken only until 5pm. The dogs bark at newcomers, but calm down as they get used to you. I do keep my dogs leashed 90% of the time but they are disruptively noisy at first. For all this I apologize, but apparently I am a poor choice for a dog trainer, a good dog rescuer, but a bad trainer.
