The SpaceThis is a little first floor one bedroom condo close to Microsoft. Perfect if you are coming to interview or work at main campus. There is a private bedroom with queen size bed and oversized desk; a futon in the living room. It has a cute back patio with table and chairs for a sunny morning cup of coffee. The bathroom has a nice big shower – no bathtub. The kitchen is pretty well equipped with oven, Forman grill, glass cook-top, electric kettle, utensils and dishes. Plenty of closet space. The apartment is quiet – I am not there most of the time. The complex is on Lake Sammamish – a short walk out the door brings you to the lakeside. Very close to Microsoft main campus. There are buses on the road to Seattle but it is a long ride – so this is not for the short term tourist. There is a shuttle from the airport which will take you to the door and also pick you up to return to the airport for about $45 each way. About a mile away is Redmond town center with shops, restaurants, movie theaters and even a professional theater which puts on good shows. Interaction with GuestsI am usually home to receive my guests but once the explanations have been made, I leave. I can be contacted any time during your stay with questions or problems. Otherwise I will not bother you. I request that guests contact me when they are leaving so I can be there or give other instructions. The NeighborhoodLovely little community. The SpaceLong and private gravel driveway amidst a forested tunnel of trees. And lots of lawn space for playing. This is one of the quietest places in the Seattle metro area, great for artists, writers, musicians, or professionals who want some quietude after a workday in the busy city. The house was built in the 1980's with very modern amenities and purposely has a classic, retro look to resemble a french country cottage, albeit with modern, clean polish inside. It has been a non-smoking, no pet, "no-shoes inside" home. Guest AccessYour room has a queen bed, closet and drawer space, and is connected to a spacious, bright bathroom with shower and tub. You will receive fresh linens and towels. The Downstairs is the common space for your enjoyment. It has a beautiful luxury kitchen with all Viking appliances, including 2 ovens, extensive granite counter tops and new updated cabinets. It connects to a lounge area that has large windows and a wood burning fireplace. Dining room with french doors that access a very large wrap-around deck and beautiful views of the creek, woods and sky. Living room has a cozy gas fireplace, and ceiling projector perfect for screening movies, TV or internet. Most of the floorspace is hardwood floors. Powder room, laundry/supplies room, and a studio office room with recently carpeted floor, office supplies and ethernet connections. For the preference of true relaxation seekers, wi-fi is available per request only, and tv cable is not enabled in this house. Interaction with GuestsOur family of four includes our four year old daughter and two year old son. Our children are very warm, social and respectful, and will engage with you as much as you encourage. You can set the tone. If it's solitude you're looking for, we'll keep to ourselves. And if you're looking for company, we're always happy to invite guests along on outings to farmers markets, parks, lakes and more great Northwest adventures. We love to cook, and will happily prepare beautiful organic breakfast, lunch and dinner, honoring any and all dietary preferences. (TBD upon your arrival; breakfast $10, lunch $15 and dinner $18). The NeighborhoodExpect to see horseback riders meandering down the road, heading to the interconnected trail system that surrounds our home. This neighborhood is small, quaint, and full of nature lovers. People really respect the environment and quietude, so you don't really have anyone running leafblowers around here. Most neighbors keep to themselves, yet are friendly and helpful when encountered. The plentiful neighbors are wild, ...deer, coyotes, foxes are common, and there is the seldom black bear or lynx sighting, right from the living room. Getting AroundBus transit connecting to Bellevue, Seattle, and really anywhere is 1 mile away. An amazing food co-op, nail spa, fitness center, dry cleaning service and Starbucks are a minute away. 4 miles down the road is a big library, an outdoor mall, Whole Foods, Target, Home Depot... fortunately or not. Bicycle trails are all around, and what's really big around here is horseback riding, with several trails starting just a stone's throw from the backyard. Woodinville's hot air balloon routes fly right over the house in the summer and fall. We can provide a ride to and from the airport for $40 each way. Other Things to NoteThere is no sink compressor, therefore food scraps need to be collected and placed into the trash.

Other Things to NoteThis is a 1-bedroom facility (3-ish story) with a loft and day bed all within the same air-space as the queen main bed. So if you plan on having 4 people stay (family) you'll be bonding even more so! Bring your story books and ear plugs if you're planning on sharing the space. :) And if you're planning on taking advantage of the sofa bed downstairs in the living room - get ready to wake with the sun! East facing beds for sunrise alarms available pending the season. There are too many windows to count... Also please note that this house has many imperfections and really is more of an art project. Expect lot's of "character". There are many areas that could be better and we'll continue to improve them as we can invest in them. In the interim, we just think they are kinda cute and enjoy finding joy in our faults and imperfections. We appreciate your feedback and support by staying with us and hope to add to your enjoyment of the area and space.

Interaction with GuestsI enjoy having guests and meeting new people. I do a check-in, meeting guests and orienting them to the property, when possible. Overall I just love people and am very friendly - but will leave you be if that is your preference. As a yoga teacher my job is to keep others safe and you will be and feel respected and safe staying here. I have a very clear boundaries. The NeighborhoodLocated in Bellevue, seconds from the Redmond city border and 13 miles to Seattle, the neighborhood is comprised of single-family homes. Large Evergreens dominate the landscape. People walking - with each other, their pets, their children. House is on a quiet corner lot five blocks from the main road. Close on foot, by bus, or by car to Microsoft - you can crawl to the main campus. Close enough to be "city" but with a woodsy feel. Four minutes walk to bus, ten to Trader Joe's. Getting AroundWithin four minutes walk to Metro (#226 to Bellevue College and Bellevue Transit Center, #249 Overlake, Bellevue, Lake Sammamish). Less than 10 minutes walk to the RapidRide B Line bus stop. Half mile walk to main MS campus. 1.3 miles to SR-520, 4.5 miles to I-90, 4.3 miles to Wholefoods Market. Other Things to NoteThis is a no smoking/drugs/drinking property. Additionally I don't own any televisions nor do I have a microwave. It's a quiet space with gentle vibes, actions, and sounds. Should I watch a movie on the computer I use headphones and hope you will too. You won't hear slamming doors, clanging pots/pans, or loud anything other than the blender and the rain. I'm a considerate person and value that in guests. I avoid toxic chemicals here including ammonia, bleach or other commercial cleaning products. Additionally my guests refrain from using cologne/perfume, hairspray or other stinky stuff. Shoes are removed at the door (indoor slippers that have not been outside are fine) and the space feels best when it's tidy, so I keep it that way and appreciate your help.

The SpaceLong and private gravel driveway amidst a forested tunnel of trees. And lots of lawn space for playing. This is one of the quietest places in the Seattle metro area, great for artists, writers, musicians, or professionals who want some quietude after a workday in the bustling city. The house is built in the 1980's with very modern amenities and purposely has a classic, retro look to resemble a french country cottage, albeit with modern, clean polish inside. It has been a non-smoking, no pet, "no-shoes inside" home. The Downstairs has a beautiful luxury kitchen with all Viking appliances, including 2 ovens, extensive granite counter tops and new updated cabinets, looks onto lounge area that has large windows and a wood burning fireplace. For the preference of true relaxation seekers, wi-fi is available per request only, and cable is not enabled in this house. Upstairs is a large master bedroom. Master bath includes marble floor and walls surrounding an extra large jacuzzi tub, and walk-in closet. Also upstairs are "Jack and Jill" bedrooms connecting to a large, sunny bathroom. Rooms are carpeted with nice, light beige carpet installed in fall of 2011. Basement is spacious and semi-complete, with lighting and heating, and window facing a creek. Perfect for use as a playroom, work shop space, rehearsal room or studio. Also has two small rooms for storage or other. There is a full playground set in the yard, newly installed in summer of 2013. Gardens, fruit trees and abundant blueberry bushes! Plenty of space for planting your own organic vegetables and herbs if you plan to stay a while, as the grounds have been pesticide-free for 3+ years. Lower garden has a fire pit and direct access to a harmonious stream (part of the property). Garden tools available and plenty of firewood included under a large outdoor shed. The property is part of an important Barred Owl habitat, and they are soothingly heard most evenings, right outside. Guest AccessThe house is partially furnished including a dining room set for up to 6, two couches, an office desk, and plenty of cabinets and dresser space. A King bed in the master, and queen and twin beds in the other bedrooms, all high quality and well kept. The office has a wooden desk, multi-function printer, a small library of interesting books, and games. Outside, please help yourself to the lovely adirondack chairs and a hammock under nice weather. Interaction with GuestsI will be available from time to time to either help or mingle if that is expected from guests, or will be remote if that is preferred. For support, I have a few helpful contacts readily available in the area. The NeighborhoodThis neighborhood is small, quaint, and full of nature lovers.
