The SpaceThe suite is connected to our home and was built by Tom with lots of exposed wood, unique tile work and even a wood stove if you come in the winter. The suite has a double bed in one room and a twin bed in a separate room. Perfect for a small family or couple. You have a private entrance, kitchenette and bathroom with shower. What makes this space really special is the location. Our farm is a 40 acre organic farm that we have been farming for 30 years. We have cows, chickens and extensive orchards and gardens. You can walk around the farm, relax in the hammocks and learn anything you ever wanted to know about a small organic farm. Guest AccessIn addition to your rooms, bathroom and kitchenette you have access to 40 acres that have beautiful hills for walks. Snowshoeing in the winter, hiking in the summer. Interaction with GuestsWe are available for any of your needs. We can help with directions and ideas for things to do in the area and show you around the farm. However, you have a private entrance so the level of interaction is really up to you. The NeighborhoodWe live in a beautiful wooded and hilly area called the driftless region. There is a lot of beautiful sites to see and interesting music and theater performances. We live very close to the Wisconsin River. There are many parks and hikes in the area. We are 9 miles from Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin. Getting AroundWe are located about 6 miles from the nearest very small town and 14 miles from 3 small towns with restaurants and shopping. There is no public transportation. We encourage biking, but do live in a hilly area. Other Things to NoteWe do not have a TV or phone in the room and cell phone reception is poor. Our landline phone in an adjacent room is available for guests use. We have wifi internet available for limited usage. Organic produce, dried fruit and jams are available for purchase.

This year marks our nineteenth season! We thank all our wonderful guests and always look forward to seeing our regulars again and again. They are like family. Please join us. We are uniquely special. Our location is country secluded, but we’re only minutes away from American Players Theatre, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesen, The House on The Rock, beautiful Governor Dodge State Park, Wisconsin River canoeing, golfing, shopping and other unique attractions in nearby Dodgeville, Mineral Point, Mt. Horeb and Mazomanie. The inn was specifically designed to be a B&B log lodge inn that would be comfortable and appealing for both men and women for all seasons. Finely tuned casual comfort is a good way to describe it. The inn exhibits a vast collection of original contemporary art works. Although the focus is on photography the collection also includes sculpture, paintings and mixed media works. Rooms are kept simple to showcase the art and room design and there is ample space for guest's personal belongings. The furnishings throughout the inn are attractive and very comfortable. Relaxation is our greatest amenity. It’s automatic upon arrival. There are several appealing locations designed specifically to sit back and unwind; your comfy private room and bath, the sitting lounge, the front porch, side deck, the garden area or up on the bluff. We offer beverages and snacks and you are more than welcome to bring your favorites. And of course, breakfast is always a very special experience. During the summer we are host residence to dozens of hummingbirds. They are absolutely delightful to watch throughout the day. Feel free to contact us if you have any inquiries about our inn, the area or your stay with us.
