A handsome, traditional house of log and mortar over stacked stone, Moosehead Cabin is centered amongst a cluster of Granite Ridge Cabins on a wooded hillside over Teton Village. One, open, high-ceilinged room forms the heart of the cabin, where the living, dining and kitchen areas are lit by floods of light from the big windows and warmed by the fire in the stone hearth. Rich, oriental rugs lie upon the floor and fine art hangs on the walls. Decorative “nailheadsâ€? detail the massive beams overhead; hand-built furniture adds an atmosphere of rustic luxury and whimsy to this wonderful home. True to its name, a majestic moose head surveys the Great Room from its mount above the mantelpiece. From the Great Room - where a long taupe sofa can be pulled out into a queen bed, the sound of the crackling fire in the Great Room provides a little night music, and makes sleeping feel like old-time camping. Moosehead Cabin has a sunny, airy, lower level with two bedrooms, each with a private bath and a TV. In the first, a sturdy, log bed faces a reading area and a trio of mullioned windows. A TV rests upon a rustic dresser, a matching armoire stands nearby and a hide rug is spread over soft carpeting. A door opens to the lower terrace with its long view of the ski slopes. In the bathroom, a deep, oval soaking tub stands next to a separate, tiled shower. The second bedroom has two twin beds spread with pretty, flowered coverlets and a mica lamp between them. The beds can easily be converted into a single king bed upon request. In the bathroom, just past the walk-in closet, double sinks are set into gorgeous, mission-style wood cabinetry; there is a tub/shower combination and a separate water closet. From the lower, stone terrace, Teton Village and the great, rising slopes are spread out in full array. The wood deck above, feels like a treehouse, lofty, private and screened by the aspens; many a fine evening may be spent cooking dinner out on the big, gas grill, dining at the picnic table, and relaxing afterwards in the hot tub, while the bright, red tram ascends the mountainside, and the stars wheel overhead. Moosehead Cabin is positively magical in winter and summer alike, a festive, welcoming retreat right in the middle of one of the most gorgeous places in the world. Lantern-lit pathways lead from house to house down to the village, where shops, restaurants and world-class adventures can be found in abundance. A two-minute walk (or one-minute ski) will take you across to the legendary ski slopes of Teton Village, the Four Seasons Resort, and the Snake River Lodge and Spa, and a mere five minutes in the car will bring you to the immense, craggy solitude of Grand Teton National Park. Granite Ridge Homestead is a handsome house of rough cut wood and stone in Teton Village, where winter and summer are welcomed with equal joy. Homestead’s doors open out to the slopes, just a rope tow away. Tall windows hold views of the ski village, the trails, the craggy mountains, the aspens, the sky. In summer, cheery daisies and purple lupin bloom all around the house, and in summer, all the world is white. Homestead is rustic and elegant, sumptuously furnished, and filled with fine art and sculpture. Children are most welcome – for despite the caliber of its decor, Homestead is a hands-on, well-loved and lived-in house. Behind the house, a stone terrace serves as an outdoor living and dining room, even as a kitchen when the grill is fired up. A roomy hot tub stands near a circle of cushioned armchairs; and all is consecrated by mountain air as fine and clear as champagne. Double doors lead back inside to the living room. The terrace, set up against the hillside, feels private and secluded, bordered by a thick perimeter of trees (and, in summer, a profusion of wildflowers) – yet the slopes are a snowball’s throw away. The sterling quality of Granite Ridge Homestead, as in a great hotel, is apparent everywhere you look – gorgeous linens, towels and robes; gleaming wood floors; an impressive collection of original Western art and sculpture. Many of the furnishings are hand-built – twig chairs, burnished wood tables, a bronze balustrade of delicate aspen branches. Homestead, built into the hillside, has its main living area on the second floor – a long, windowed, open space, which holds the dining room, living room, and kitchen. The soaring cut stone fireplace and log-trussed cathedral ceiling of the living room can be seen from the kitchen; the long wood dining table is flanked by rustic bentwood chairs. Granite Ridge Homestead’s well-organized kitchen is first-rate; pale stone countertops and top-of-the-line, stainless steel appliances contrast nicely with the natural wood cabinets and floor. A breakfast bar, faced by three cushioned stools, provides both separation from and community with the dining and living rooms. The big, well-appointed master suite stands in separate wing of the house, over the garage. The master bedroom has mullioned windows on three sides, with views through the trees to the Gros Ventre range. A writing desk, a soft seating area, a TV and a walk-in closet add elements of comfort and luxury to the suite. In the master bath, tiled in soft, subtle grays, a deep, jetted tub is set into a windowed alcove. There is a separate shower, double sinks and a water closet. A queen bedroom with a roomy private bath is also on the second floor. The big iron bedstead is spread with smooth white linens and a goosedown duvet; a small desk and a painted chest flank the bed, and soft taupe carpeting lies underfoot. In the bathroom, there are double sinks, a shower-tub combination and a separate water closet. Two bedrooms wait on Granite Ridge Homestead’s lower floor. The first has two rustic twin beds standing side by side, and a private bathroom; the second is a very spacious suite of rooms, with two twins and one queen bed, all dressed in matching white linens. Leopard-patterned carpeting stretches from one end of this suite to the other, and a wood half-wall and heavy drape carve out a separate sitting area with a plush sectional couch. A private bathroom with a shower-tub combination and a single sink stands just off of the suite, as does a laundry room. The Four Seasons Hotel – where you can have excellent sushi in the bar or a multi-course meal in the dining room – is just a three-minute walk from Granite Ridge Homestead’s front door. Perhaps even better, the house is a mere minute from the rope tow, so you can literally ski home for lunch and then head right back out again. In the summer, the ski trails turn to hiking trails. A good hard climb will take you to the mountaintop in an afternoon; a leisurely walk will bring you to the edge of Grand Teton National Park and its vast network of phenomenal trails. Homestead is a spectacular getaway for a group of friends or an extended family: close to everything, lacking nothing. Teton Village has restaurants, spas, bike rental shops and hiking trails all within walking distance of your front door. Located one mile from the back gate of Grand Teton National Park, this is a perfect home base for exploring the National Parks.

Granite Ridge Lodge 4 is a three-storey arts and crafts house built into an aspen-covered hillside in Teton Village, alongside neighbors in the Granite Ridge Lodge collection. Strong lines and big windows anchor the lodge in its mountainous setting a fabulous, ski-in/ski-out, location bordered by a musical little stream. Inside, solid construction and beautiful craftsmanship are evident in every room. High wood ceilings are crossed with hand-hewn beams, oil paintings hang on wood-paneled walls as warm and mellow as honey. A short flight of steps leads from the foyer to the well-proportioned great room, which is lit by floods of sunlight from windows on three sides. A long couch and leather armchairs face the wood-burning stone fireplace, and a wet bar is set into an alcove just beside it. In the dining area, an antler chandelier hangs over the table, and a few steps farther, the spacious, well-equipped kitchen is set apart by a granite-topped buffet. Granite Ridge Lodge 4 has four bedrooms and a bunkroom. The peaceful, light-filled master bedroom stands at the top of the house, under a vaulted wood ceiling. A stone fireplace, gas-fired, faces the king bed, and has a nice wide ledge on which to lay out slippers and pajamas for warming, or sit and read. A door opens to a private terrace; from there you can see beyond the village and woods far up to the top of the ski mountain. The master bedroom has both a huge dresser and a walk-in closet, both of which offer ample clothes storage. In the private bathroom, all tiled in creamy stone, there are double vanities, a deep soaking tub and a large, glass-walled shower. Just outside the master bedroom is a sitting room, open to the stairwell, where a couch, a game table and a TV hidden in a pretty, twig-framed armoire wait. An airy guest suite - the only other bedroom on the top floor shares the sitting area with the master bedroom. Here, a beautiful, full-size wooden sleigh bed faces a television, and thick, soft, oatmeal-colored carpeting warms the floors. Double doors lead to a large private balcony, and windows frame the high, rugged mountains. The guest bedroom has a large dresser and a nice bathroom, with a combination shower and tub, and double sinks. Out on the balcony, the peaked roofs of the neighbors step gaily down the hillside, while the mountains rise steeply above, ribboned with ski trails. Granite Ridge Lodge 4 middle and bottom floors hold two more bedrooms. The first, with two twin beds and a private bath, sits over the two-car garage. Windows on two sides hold views of the village and the slopes. On the ground floor, there is a quiet, roomy bedroom with a queen bed and private bath. Just outside this room is a delightful, open bunk area with four beds the perfect hideout for kids. The top bunks have reading lights; each bed is cozy and welcoming. Granite Ridge Lodge 4 has lockers on the ground floor for equipment storage, and a laundry room for post-activity clean-up. A small stone terrace off of the great room holds a big hot tub and a grand view of the mountain, the slopes, the woods and even the occasional moose. This is a house built for ebullient gatherings of family or friends; it has many places for coming together and many places for quiet retreat. The Granite Ridge Lodges stand at the forested base of the ski mountain, just steps from Teton Village, the slopes, the hiking trails and the Four Seasons. Granite Ridge Lodge 5 is a classic of its kind – a lofty, contemporary four-bedroom house with three levels; neighbors to either side and the quiet green rise of the woods behind. The great room, a half flight up from the front door, is the heart of the house, handsome and welcoming; it is the central living and dining space where windows on three sides allow the eye to soar up to the top of the ski mountain, down through the village and out into the dusky pine forest behind the house. A robust, stone, wood-burning fireplace anchors the space, facing a quartet of leather and cowhide sofas, chair and ottoman. To the right of the fireplace is a small, built-in bar with an under counter refrigerator and a small sink; while to the left, a cabinet hides the TV. The great room is flooded with clear light during the day and flickers with golden firelight in the evening. French doors open to the terrace and hot tub, and the woods. The kitchen is in a wide alcove just off of the dining area. Sunny and efficient, the kitchen has lots of stone-topped counter space, a center island with a prep sink, a breakfast/sandwich bar that can seat five, and a small step-in pantry. Wine storage is built into the natural wood cabinets; overhead, dark wood beams cross the smooth white ceiling. The dining table, overhung by an antler chandelier, stands before a vast picture window, which frames the lively village and the slopes. At night, drapes may be pulled across for privacy. Granite Ridge Lodge 5 has three levels – the top and bottom levels hold three of the four bedrooms, the middle is the main living and gathering space. From the foyer, stairs head up a half flight to the great room, and then on to the master bedroom and a guest room. An open sitting area waits at the top of the stairs, with reading lights, plush chairs and a sleeper sofa; it doubles, in times of need, as an overflow guest room. The master bedroom is just off this sunny, carpeted spot. The master, set right at the top of the house under a peaked wood ceiling, has a gas stone fireplace with a wide, raised stone hearth – perfect for feet-warming after a day in the snow. The king bed faces the fire, and a flat screen TV set in a cabinet beside it. An enormous walk in closet, a private balcony, and the soft fawn-colored carpeting underfoot add notes of unabashed luxury to the master bedroom. A door opens to a private balcony. Windows look to the wooded hillside; heavy red drapes with a striking antler pattern can be pulled completely closed. The stone-floored master bath has an oval soaking tub beneath a window with a view of the woods. There are double sinks, a separate shower, and a private water closet. A charming, carpeted guest room also stands just off the sitting area. Here, wooden twin beds stand side by side, a wonderful rustic nightstand accented with twig-framed paintings between them. Out on the covered porch, Adirondack lounge chairs invite long reveries gazing up to the mountaintops and down at the life of the village. In the private bathroom, the combination shower and bath is illuminated by a little square window with a mountain view gorgeous as a painting. Set above the garage on the main floor is a second, very comfortable guest bedroom with a private bath. Here, a traditional iron bedstead, flanked by side tables and reading lamps, is made lush and inviting by a cloud-soft, patterned duvet, heaps of down pillows and a smooth white coverlet. A crossed pair of old-time leather and wood snowshoes above the headboard sparks thoughts of the next day’s adventures. A dresser and a big walk-in closet provide plenty of space to unpack. Off of the TV room is the bunkroom, equipped (as is every bedroom in Granite Ridge Lodge 5) with its own iPod docking station. Together, the four rustic log bunk beds – one with a queen bed on the bottom – can comfortably, and joyfully, sleep five. Fluffy duvets are covered in classic Pendleton wool. A little desk with a reading light and a chair with woven leather seat might inspire letters to friends left back at home. There is a private bath just off the bunkroom. In front of the house, the possibilities roll on forever. Hiking, skiing, fishing, kayaking, snowshoeing, mountain biking, golf, horseback riding – everything is here, everything is within easy reach. You can hike into Grand Teton National Park right from the property. Nearby, the town of Jackson is a hotspot for theater, art, shopping, restaurants and nightlife. The Catamount House is a luxurious, five-bedroom lodge built into a hillside of boulders and bright Western wildflowers, surrounded by trees and the high Wyoming mountains. Its large, paneled front door opens onto a quiet Granite Ridge cul-de-sac – and from there it is just a short walk to Grand Teton National Park, the slopes, and the Four Seasons hotel, where sushi and cocktails await. A thoughtful, attentive owner and a well-known designer have made Catamount into a marvelous, hospitable vacation home. The lodge is in accord with the mountain landscape all around, its log frame and peaked roofs brushed by high pine boughs. Inside there are five distinctive, comfortable bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, and every modern convenience. Art from around the West hangs on the walls. Throughout the day, golden light fills Catamount’s high-ceilinged rooms, and there is a constant feeling of alpine spaciousness and peace. Catamount is as suited for relaxing after a day of skiing or hiking as it is for high-style entertaining. Full sets of table linens, china, crystal and elegant flatware are at hand, and the dining room will easily seat ten. Catamount’s second-floor kitchen, with its big gas stove, Sub Zero fridge, granite countertops and array of gourmet cooking equipment can accommodate cooking enthusiasts or a professional chef. The room has an open layout and a bar that make meal preparation easy and communal. Just beyond the kitchen is a deck with a gas grill for cooking in the open air. The second floor of Catamount is also the main living and dining area. Just up an art-filled staircase from the entryway, the great room and dining room are divided by back-to-back river stone fireplaces that stretch up to cathedral ceilings. Tall windows frame the trees outside – seasonal art in themselves, ablaze with color in fall or garlanded in snow. French doors open to an outdoor living area with willow chairs, a dining table and the fresh balsam air of the forest. Next to the dining room, there is a sunroom where the flowered hillside fills the high windows like a painting; and outside, a hot tub on its own private deck. The second floor also holds the house’s two biggest bedrooms, both with rough-hewn, log frame king beds and private baths. A fully-equipped laundry room is also on this level, and everywhere you turn there are quiet alcoves with game tables, comfortable chairs, and reading lights. A porch under the eaves sits just above the front door. Catamount’s other three bedrooms are on the first floor. Two bedrooms each have a twin bed and a bunk bed; the other guest room can be set up with a king bed or two twins. There are three full bathrooms on the first floor, one with a steam shower. The first floor is where guests will find some of the home’s great diversions: a game room, and a media center with television and stereo. A mudroom with lockers is ready to store boots, skis and snowshoes, and from there the back door opens onto the vast Wyoming wilderness. Shooting Star Cabin Number 16 is a large house of weathered barnwood and stone in the Shooting Star Golf Community, set at the edge of a frolicsome stream. Its many roofs and wings create an impression of old homesteader’s cabins and barns joined together in a pleasing, cohesive whole. The majestic great room—a lofty, open barn-like wing of the house—holds the kitchen, living and dining areas. The wood-burning fireplace, the large flat-screen TV and the great spread of Jackson Hole outside the huge picture windows can be seen from any place in the room: the long, welcoming couch, the dining table, the tidy and efficient kitchen. Overhead, the rough-hewn rafters and wood ceiling recall 19th Century construction, and an antler chandelier hangs down over the table. Glass doors open to the stone terraces, and let the great room become part of the wide outdoors. The kitchen is set off from the dining room by a high breakfast counter. Rustic barnwood cabinets are stocked with fine equipment and appliances—including an under-counter wine cooler and refrigeration and freezer drawers—and high-quality china, crystal and linens. A walk-in pantry, a fine range and a second prep sink make cooking a job to vie for. Every window at Shooting Star Cabin 16 holds a million-dollar view: the golf course unrolls voluptuously in front of the house, while behind it the huge bulk of the ski mountain, ribboned with trails, rears into the sky; and Fish Creek (a Class-1 trout stream) provides a constant, cheerful music just outside the back door. Shooting Star Cabin 16 has a stone patio that overlooks the 18-hole, Tom Fazio-designed golf course, and, which save for the occasional golfer, cross country skier or stray moose, feels private, even secluded. Out here are the gas grill and the outdoor dining table, the fire pit and the hot tub—a magical, al-fresco “great room” with no walls whatsoever. Shooting Star Cabin 16 has four big bedrooms. The master suite stands in a wing of its own, just down a glass-walled hallway from the front door. Charming and well-proportioned, the master suite has a deep leather reading chair and ottoman, a gas fireplace, a TV hidden in a cabinet that rises to viewing level at a touch of the remote. Windows on three sides allow a long view from the bed of ski slopes, the golf course and the tumbling stream. The master bath is lovely, all paneled in painted wood, with a soaking tub and a separate shower. From the front door, a staircase leads to a large landing furnished with a game table and a foldout leather couch. Three guest rooms extend from the landing, and share the seating area between them. A large king suite is set over the garage, spacious enough to be considered a second master bedroom, with a coffee bar, sitting area, desk, breakfast table and a private bathroom. A door off the landing opens to a sunny, pretty room with two twin beds standing side by side. A glassed-in hallway leads, bridge-like, to the final guest bedroom, where the queen bed commands a fabulous view of the high blue mountains. This is an elegant, sumptuous room, with soft carpeting underfoot and branch-like reading lights flanking the bed. The private bath has a tub and shower combination, and a double vanity clad in barn-red custom cabinetry. The Shooting Star Golf Community lies within Teton Village, all of it carefully designed to harmonize with the natural landscape and the staggering backdrop of the Tetons. Guests of Shooting Star Cabin 16 have access to all of Shooting Star’s many amenities: the ski valet barn and the shuttle to the mountain, the fitness center, golf, spa, pool, hot tub, club house bar and dining. Shooting Star also has a wonderful Activity Barn with a “kids only” section, sure to be a hit with the younger set. But Shooting Star Cabin 16 has a pull all its own—the hot tub and fire pit on the terrace, the long view, the pervading sense of luxury, comfort and peace. Jackson is a quick drive away; and The Clear Creek Group can assist with ski passes, personal chefs, theatre tickets or anything else to make your Jackson Hole visit a tremendous one. The exclusive Shooting Star community is nestled at the base of Teton Village; a most desirable base camp for your Jackson Hole adventures. 3br house
Shooting Star Cabin Number 2 is a classic; an elegant, confident home with the look of a 19th Century homestead added on to over decades. Weathered wood siding, mullioned windows and the circle of towering mountain peaks all around it add to the timeless effect. The house stands on the edge of the rolling golf course, midway between the clubhouse and the village. A log-and-mortar entryway with a heavy, trussed front door opens to the foyer. Inside, layers of detail create richness and structure: old and new, modern and traditional are gathered together in a peaceful, cohesive whole. In the kitchen, a cross-hatch of weathered beams on the ceiling contrast with glossy stone countertops below, a beautiful stainless steel range, under-counter refrigerator drawers, wine cooler, two dishwashers and two sinks. A breakfast bar, lined with clever bar stools – tractor seats mounted on “atomic age” steel legs – divides the kitchen from the living room and dining area. The dining table is a single, awe-inspiring slab of polished maple, and can seat up to eight. The living room has wide-open views to the Tetons, the ski slopes and the unfurling curves of the golf course. Deep sofas and a matching pair of sumptuous leather armchairs face a wood-burning fireplace that is set into a wall of solid stone; another wall holds wide windows that showcase the glorious panorama outside; and between the two, a contemporary sideboard hides a flat screen television, which ascends into view at the touch of a button. Down the hall, more entertainment awaits in a game room above the stairs, along with a globe to pinpoint where you are in the world and where you’re going. Behind the game room, a glass-walled “bridge” leads to the private master bedroom wing. The master bedroom is a sanctuary of calm and comfort. A wide picture window frames a mountain view, and smaller mullioned windows beneath it can be opened to flood the room with mountain air. A stone, gas fireplace faces the king bed; it is a simple, decadent joy to have the warmth of the fire and the coolness of the fresh piney air at once, on a starry Wyoming night. There is a walk-in closet with its own window and view. The room’s master bath is traditional and luxurious, paneled in painted wood, with a soaking tub, double sinks, a private water closet and a separate stone shower. The first floor of Shooting Star 2 holds a two-car garage, and three delightful bedrooms spaced along a bright corridor. The first bedroom is a four-berth bunkroom, wonderfully stylish and comfortable, like the ultimate scout camp – with a buffalo-hide rug upon the floor, military-inspired wire shelving on the walls, and deep drawers for holding clothes or treasures. Many a late-night story will be recounted here. The second guest bedroom is sunny, pretty and serene, with rustic touches like twin beds with barn-door headboards, and a tree cross-section table lamp. A door opens to a private bathroom. The third and final bedroom is a “junior master,” at the end of the guest wing, with windows and breath-taking views on three sides, and a big stone fireplace facing the king bed. The junior master bathroom – with a tub and shower combination, double sinks and a separate water closet – is shared with the bunkroom. Outside, Shooting Star Cabin 2’s private stone dining terrace and big hot tub are screened with a fringe of fir trees and whispering aspens; lush lawns stretch to the golf course. The great high mountains are all around and the ski slopes seem close enough to touch; in the winter, the ski shuttle can take you right to the slopes and bring you back again. Shooting Star Ranch stands at the crossroads of all that is wonderful about Jackson Hole – adventure, culture and jaw-dropping natural beauty. All of it, at Shooting Star Cabin 2, on your very doorstep. The exclusive Shooting Star community is nestled at the base of Teton Village; a most desirable base camp for your Jackson Hole adventures. Shooting Star Cabin Number 5 is a handsome, hospitable house of weathered wood and stone, set within the Shooting Star community in front of a breathtaking backdrop of mountains. Living and sleeping wings bracket a stone terrace with grand views of Sleeping Indian, the golf course and the valley. Designed with affection and great tastefulness by its owner, the house is full of character; fine art and rich fabrics bring bursts of fresh bright color to a restful palette of warm wood and cool grey stone. The great room holds the living, dining and kitchen areas, filled with light from windows on three sides. Two big windows flank the wood-burning fireplace, which is fronted by a stone ledge wide enough to sit on; double couches and soft leather seating face the fire. Above the hearth hangs a carved wooden cow skull, a whimsical, “vegan” nod to traditional cowboy décor. The kitchen stands at the other end of the room, with the dining table between; while to either side, doors open to the terrace, the grill, the lawn and the stream, and the windows brim with mountains. As in the great room, the first floor master bedroom wing is elegant, simple, and supremely comfortable, anchored by a stone fireplace – which, being gas, ignites at the press of a button. The bedroom overflows with crystalline mountain light. The king bed is spread with a simple white coverlet and piled with brilliant, jewel-toned cushions. A hall leads to large walk-in closet and a traditional, wood-paneled bathroom with double sinks, a soaking tub and a separate glass shower with a bench. At the top of the stairs, a roomy landing serves as a library and an office – a perfect, peaceful spot in which to review notes, read or relax with a mug of hot chocolate, looking up through the mullioned windows to the very top of the ski mountain. Two bedrooms extend from this landing. One, dressed in soft fabrics and deep, vibrant color, has a big king bed, a TV, and a long view of the slopes. Just off the room is a private bath with two sinks, a glass shower and a separate water closet. The second bedroom is set at the very center of the house, reached via a “bridge” from the library landing. This is a sweet, lovely room in airy pastels, with twin brass beds standing beneath a wide mullioned window. There is a private bathroom with double sinks, a shower/tub combination and creamy wood paneling. Above the garage is Shooting Star Cabin 5’s fourth and final bedroom, an open suite as big as a private apartment. A queen bed stands under the eaves beside a little gas stove. Bookshelves line the walls and soft carpeting the floors. The suite, ideal for teens, a nanny or visiting friends, has a coffee bar/kitchenette, a breakfast table and a loveseat (which unfolds into a twin bed) facing a wide flat screen TV. Windows look out to the slopes, close enough to touch. Shooting Star Cabin 5 stands, like all Shooting Star homes, just off the famed golf course; a stream sweeps in a generous curve around Cabin 5’s back yard. A practice green – meant for exercising one’s medium/short game – waits mere steps from the door. Outside on the quiet terrace, a big hot tub built into a stone surround stands beside a round picnic table and the grill; a waist-high stone wall underscores the feeling of seclusion and privacy. From the terrace a long, poetic panorama unfolds: the eye glides across the stream, the golf course, the valley, all the way to the encircling peaks, and from there, up to the sky. Guests of Shooting Star Ranch have limited use of Ranch amenities – the Tom Fazio-designed golf course, the wonderful spa, pool and fitness center, Shooting Star dining and the timely shuttle to the ski slopes of Teton Village. The Shooting Star lands span 1,300 breathtaking acres between the tumbling Snake River and the Grand Tetons; a glorious carpet stitched from pastures, ponds, streams, woods and the rolling greens of the golf course. The property was named for the bejeweled Wyoming night sky – and each of the handsome, private cabins studding the Shooting Star expanse seems to have its own personal swath of heaven overhead. Shooting Star Cabin Number 9 is one of these: beautiful, solid and traditional in design, a true family retreat. The log and board house stretches out alongside a sparkling stream. Its windows glow with welcome. Inside the substantial front door, a sunlit foyer opens to a lovely, warm interior. The living, dining and kitchen areas are all gathered in one open, ground-floor space at the end of the house, anchored by a wall of cut stone, and a big wood-burning fireplace in the living room. Deep couches and patterned armchairs are gathered round the fire, and above it, a flat-screen TV is mounted on the simple, rustic mantle. Modern and antique, classic and bold happily co-mingle at Cabin 9. Outside, on the stone patio, a large hot tub glories in its thrilling proximity to the ski slopes – and of course, the ski shuttle will get you to those very slopes and back again, whenever you wish. Everywhere, wide windows let in the astounding view. The living room ceiling arches high overhead and then drops down, over the kitchen, to a crosshatch of weathered beams. Here, smooth, speckled stone countertops pick up the dark tones of the wood cabinets. There is a center island with a prep sink, and a great steel range, as well as a wall oven and built-in microwave. Ample refrigeration – including a wine cooler – is available in under-counter drawers and a full, standing fridge. A breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the living and dining areas, and a pantry is just steps away. Nearby waits the family room, with a long sectional couch – a perfect, quiet place for movies, games, reading or just hanging out. Shooting Star Cabin 9’s carpeted master suite is set in a wing of its own, angling off the main house toward the mountains. A windowed hallway leads to the bedroom at the very end of the wing, where a stone, gas fireplace finalizes the space. Here a carved wood, king size bed, piled with pillows, faces both the fire and a flat-screen TV mounted above the mantelpiece. The master bath is airy and luxurious, paneled in creamy painted wood. There is a big, glass-walled shower, double sinks, a private water closet and a deep soaking tub. The second floor holds three guest bedrooms and a light-filled landing/office. The office has room for two to spread out and work comfortably side by side – though the views through the mullioned windows are distracting indeed! Just off the landing is a bedroom with a handsome queen bed, flanked by pinecone reading lights. This bedroom has roomy closets and a bathroom of its own, with a shower and a private water closet. A short hallway, with windows on both sides, leads from the landing to a second bedroom – a charming hideaway with two double-decker wood bunk beds. Sturdy ladders lead up to the top berths. Each bed is snug and comfy, with a colorful animal pillow for company. A second door leads to the back stair landing, and from there, down to the mudroom and laundry room. Over the garage – across the back landing from the bunkroom – is a final, spacious guest bedroom, big enough for a family. Two sweet twin beds with checked pillowcases stand at one end of the room; at the other, a big wood queen size bed with matching checked pillows. A pair of wonderful rollback armchairs wait beside a big window, with a cherry-red ottoman between them. This bedroom has a private bathroom with a shower. Outside is the wide wonderland of Shooting Star, and all of Jackson Hole beyond it. From Cabin 9’s hot tub, you can see all the way up the ski slopes and over to the village. Shooting Star Cabin 13 is a four bedroom house on the southeastern edge of Teton Village’s Shooting Star community. All around is the long spread of the valley floor, the golf course and the impossibly high coronet of mountains. Stone, board-and-batten and traditional chinked log construction make Shooting Star Cabin 13 feel authentic and right in its Jackson Hole setting; the house draws on a long Western tradition of using native materials to craft a robust and firelit haven. A heavy, iron-studded front door opens to the foyer, where original oil paintings hang on the wood and plaster walls. From here, the house branches out in all directions: to the bedrooms, to the living and dining areas, and to the ample laundry, quaint office and mud room. The living, dining and kitchen areas all share one high-ceilinged space, where wide windows on three sides look out to the pond, a neighbor’s house, and the golf course and long sweep of open land beneath the mountains. It is a comfortable and convivial gathering place. A raised, wood-burning fireplace is set in a wall of stone and a wide-screen TV is mounted above it; in the evening, shadows from the woodfire dance around the room. A pair of deep leather armchairs and two couches stand under the peaked ceiling. A rough wood chandelier hangs like a star over the polished dining table, and glass doors on either side of the room open to stone terraces. Out on the pond, swans glide; their wild, trumpet-like cries are wonderful to hear. A breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the dining room. The kitchen cupboards, handcrafted from rustic barnwood, contrast nicely with the gleaming Viking range and the Sub-Zero refrigerators. There is a wine cooler, a small step in pantry, and a stone-topped center island with a prep sink. A full complement of good quality china, glasses and appliances are ready for use, and from the kitchen you can see the fireplace, the television and the tremendous rocky geography beyond the windows. Shooting Star Cabin 13 has four bedrooms. The master is on the ground floor, in a private wing at the southern end of the house, connected to the foyer by a glass-walled corridor. In the quiet, carpeted bedroom, windows on three sides frame the pond, the mountains and the golf course; the king bed faces a gas fireplace and a TV. A reading lamp stands next to a rich, chocolate brown chaise lounge, a lovely retreat all its own. A hallway leads to a walk-in closet and the wood-paneled master bath, where dark wood cabinets hold dual sinks and linen cupboards. There is a private water closet in the master bath, a deep soaking tub and a separate shower. A landing waits at the top of the stairs. During the day, a flat-screen TV, a game table and vivid vintage posters on the wall make it a prime hang-out spot; but when the full-size sofa is pulled out the landing becomes a sleeping loft. The view from the sofa bed is a long, heady look up to the top of the ski mountain. A door on the landing opens to a carpeted guest room, with a king size bed, a dresser with antler pulls, a reading chair and a private bathroom with a shower, dual vanities and a water closet. From the landing, a dramatic glass “bridge” leads to two more bedrooms. The first is a wonderful bunkroom tailor-made for teens or children. Stylish rustic bunk beds and a matching twin bed seem to have been built from the very boards used in the walls of the house. Wheeled ottomans serve as portable seats, game tables, doll beds--the possibilities are endless. The bunkroom’s private bath has a shower/tub combination, two sinks and a separate toilet. The bunkroom opens to a second landing at the rear of the house, and here, a large, sunlit suite waits, with an upholstered king bed, a desk and a spacious sitting area. A red sleeper sofa is flanked by two smart leather armchairs, and the window holds a wide view of the mountains. There is a small refreshment area, with an under-counter refrigerator, and a private bath with a shower/tub combination. Shooting Star Cabin 13 has a delightful stone terrace off of the living room, tucked into the southeastern corner of the house and bordered by a low stone wall, with unobstructed views across the valley. The terrace is furnished with a dining table, comfortable chairs, a gas grill, and a hot tub set into a stone surround. Shooting Star Cabin 13 is an exceptional house, sited as it is on the brink of the golf course and pond: great wide open lands to one side, and Teton village--with all its restaurants, shops, nightlife and, of course, ski slopes--to the other, just a short walk away. Wilderness and civilization--the best of both Jackson Hole worlds--are the next door neighbors of Shooting Star Cabin 13. The exclusive Shooting Star community is nestled at the base of Teton Village; a most desirable base camp for your Jackson Hole adventures. Shooting Star Cabin Number 6 is a big, handsome house set right in the middle of an adventurer’s Eden – the vast, wildly beautiful Shooting Star Ranch. Bordered by a clear stream and the velveteen practice greens of Shooting Star’s legendary golf course, Cabin 6 has the mullioned windows, peaked roofs and majestic stature of a barn. Two large wings, connected by a two-story glass “bridge,” form the house, which is characterized inside and out by a layering of modern design and rustic tradition – rich in detail, texture, and comfort. Its saturated colors, soft leathers and plush oriental rugs make Cabin 6 feel homey and warm, never overwhelming. Outside, the stream serenades the airy rooms day and night with the quiet, constant sound of rippling water. The heart of the house is the second-story great room, which holds the living area, dining area and kitchen. It is anchored at both ends by light and warmth: a wood-burning fireplace in the living area, and opposite it, in the kitchen, a beautiful stainless steel range. Between the two are the gathering places: long leather couches and plush armchairs; a thick wood dining table; a breakfast bar with high-backed stools. Each is a welcoming spot for convivial get-togethers or quiet conversation. Overhead, rough-hewn beams are a nod to Wyoming’s frontier heritage, while in the kitchen the smooth stone countertops, top-of-the-line appliances and under-counter warming, refrigeration and wine cooler drawers are exemplary modern comforts. Windows line the walls, each with a glorious view to behold. Outside on the wide stone terrace, the fierce and gorgeous landscape rolls away to the mountains. Sleeping Indian and the Tetons seem to hold up the sky. Golden stones pave the outdoor dining area and surround the hot tub as well; there is a gas grill and a portable firepit. From here, the view across the lawn, stream and golf course to the mountains is your own. Shooting Star Cabin 6 has two master bedrooms, one up, one down. A glass bridge leads from the great room past breath-taking panoramas of the ski slopes and Gros Ventre Range, to the high-ceilinged upstairs master bedroom. Here, a king-size bed faces a monumental stone fireplace that ignites at the touch of a button; its wide granite ledge makes a fine warm bench on a chilly day. A writing desk stands beside a big picture window. A casement window over a classic club chair frames a view up to the gondola station at the top of Rendezvous Mountain. A roomy walk-in closet provides plenty of space for unpacking. The master bathroom is paneled in creamy painted wood; a long soaking tub is set under a mullioned window, between a glass-walled shower and double sinks. Outside on the landing, a loveseat can be unfolded into a full-size bed; and a little powder room stands right beside it. The downstairs master bedroom is wrapped with windows on three sides; when the windows are open, the room fills with the stream’s music. This second master – like the first – has both a stone, gas fireplace and a very nice walk-in closet. A king bed faces the fire and a view over the practice greens to Sleeping Indian. In the private bathroom, a shower/tub combination waits besides double sinks and a single large mirror. There is a separate water closet. Along the corridor from the downstairs master bedroom is an attractive den with a flat-screen TV. The couch, lined with vibrant throw pillows, may be pulled out into a bed for spillover sleeping. Farther along is the bunkroom – a cheery, carpeted sunny bedroom with a double bed topped by a single bunk, perfect for children and teens. A private bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Shooting Star Cabin 6 is just across the drive from the front of the clubhouse, where guests can help themselves to the countless amenities and opportunities of Shooting Star Ranch: the gorgeous, award-winning golf course designed by Tom Fazio (and the space-age, indoor golf simulator). The huge, spectacular heated pool and the hot tubs beside the stream. The sumptuous Spa and Wellness Center. The ski valet, the dazzling proximity to the slopes, and more than nine kilometers of groomed Nordic. The full, state-of-the-art gym, overlooking the pool veranda, where classes in everything from weight-training to yoga are offered. Then there is the activity Barn where kids can play, feast on child-friendly cuisine and watch movies on the big screen, while adults enjoy the elegant dining room. Smooth, safe bike trails lead all through the Shooting Star grounds, to Teton Village and even over to the hip little town of Wilson. In Jackson, fine dining, theatre, art galleries, boutiques and antique stores await; it is a very sophisticated town in a very, very beautiful place. Shooting Star Cabin 17 is a large, handsome and entirely welcoming house, a classic Shooting Star abode set beside a clear shallow creek. The mountains and ski slopes form a magnificent backdrop for Cabin 17, and its tall windows look out in all directions to the stream, the woods, the rolling green golf course, and the great soaring mountainscape beyond. A heavy, iron-studded front door opens to the foyer. Here a tranquil and inviting color scheme of ivory and smoky blue is introduced by way of a painted dresser and a cushioned chair. It is a chromatic theme echoed throughout the house, serene and soft against Cabin 17's stonework and thick log-and-mortar walls. A curtained doorway in the foyer frames the front hall, an invitation into the grand and intimate spaces of Cabin 17; all singularly peaceful, lovely, full of light and air; all feeling of home. The lofty, open living area – a Great Room anchored by a cut-stone fireplace at one end and the kitchen at the other - is the heart of the house. Matching armchairs and sofas surround a big upholstered coffee table in front of the fire, all in serene blues and creams. In the daytime, huge windows flood the room with sunlight and astonishing views, and doors open to terraces on either side. The dining table stands just behind the couch, under the high vaulted ceiling shared with the living room; steps away the ceiling, criss-crossed with rough-hewn beams, drops to foster a sense of warmth and containment in the kitchen. This is a kitchen in which a home cook or professional chef would be equally happy. Luxury appliances, a center island with a prep sink and a wine cooler, a breakfast bar and ample counter space make cooking a treat. Many a joyful meal is spent within the interlocked spaces of the Great Room: a glad progression from kitchen to dining table to fireside, leavened with stories of the day gone by and plans for the day ahead. Sconces and big table lamps throughout the room provide light in the evening, and firelight dances across the happy faces of those assembled. Shooting Star Cabin 17 is a true family haven, with plenty of space in which to find quiet and privacy and plenty of convivial gathering spots as well. A hallway off of the kitchen leads to a stylish hang out room. Here, star charts map the Wyoming sky and a long, plush sectional couch beckons gamers, readers and movie-watchers alike. Cabin 17's living and sleeping wings embrace a big stone courtyard that is a great draw year round. Outside, the fresh mountain air is more invigorating than a cup of coffee. An outdoor dining table and a gas grill speak of cookouts in the long golden evenings of July and August; the large hot tub calls for joyful shindigs under the brilliant winter night sky, champagne chilling nearby in the snow. Steps lead from the terrace down to the smooth lawn and the creek. Cabin 17 has a very large and inviting master suite set in an annex of its own. Soft, rich fabrics and creamy drapes, white linens and a wool-carpeted floor contrast pleasingly with the solid stonework and bright dancing flames of the gas hearth. The master bedroom wing angles toward the creek - and with the windows flung wide, the sound of the tumbling water fills the room. The masterbath is spacious and luxurious, paneled in painted wood, with double sinks, a long soaking tub set under a mullioned window and a separate, walk-in shower. Built-in, robin's egg bookcases and drawers on the main landing frame a desk and window with a glorious view indeed. The landing serves as office for Cabin 17, and manages to be both private and open at once, a perfect retreat for reading and working. A door off the landing leads to a sunlit, carpeted guest room with a king size bed and a private bath. In this guest bathroom, there are double sinks, a big, glass-walled shower and a separate water closet. Wallpaper and twigged mirrors lend texture and interest; as with everything at Cabin 17, the fixtures are of sterling quality. A corridor with windows on either side forms a “sky bridge” to the next guest with two full size beds, a charming space with berths for four. This guests room has its own bath as well, with double sinks, a shower/tub combo and a separate water closet. A wonderful suite - clear and bright, and spacious enough for a family - stands over the garage. A king bed under the eaves is flanked by two full beds. A big closet and ample dresser provide plenty of clothes storage, and there is a private bathroom with a shower. Windows frame panoramic views of Teton Village and the ski mountain. Clear colors, soft carpeting and lots of light make this guest suite a luxurious retreat. The wide front steps of Slopeside Après Vous climb from the heated driveway – where the iconic Wyoming cowboy image is inlaid in a circle of stone – to the front door; which in turn opens to a stately foyer, spanned by an interior bridge which connects two upstairs wings of the lodge. Through the foyer, the living room’s vaulted ceilings and massive windows echo the wild high country outside, and the glass holds a dreamscape of steep rocky slopes clad in the swirling white of snowfall or the waving wild grasses and flowers of summer. A group of soft, camel-colored sofas and armchairs face a massive stone fireplace that soars 30 feet to the ceiling. The den and kitchen share a light-filled space; and it is here that people gather morning and evening. The den’s curving leather couch faces both a TV and voluptuous river stone gas fireplace, topped by a hand-carved mantle. Outside the den’s French doors, a double level terrace looks out over the dark green folds of the ski slopes. The kitchen has a large butler pantry, a planning desk, and a stone-topped, wood-paneled island with two sinks. Rustic bar stools stand ready. The kitchen table is an inclusive, sociable round, and speaks to the fact that this is a house where coming together, and being together, is paramount. The more formal dining room is separate from the kitchen but just steps away. Here upholstered chairs surround a long wood table, and the high peaks hang in the windows like art. Slopeside Après Vous is well stocked with elegant stemware, flatware and pewter-rimmed china. The master suite is a warm, well-dressed retreat on the main floor that feels like a room in some alpine castle. One wall, all of stone, holds a gas fireplace; huge peeled logs form the rafters overhead. A painted country bedstead is covered with a soft flowered spread. A deep armchair and a standing lamp wait next to the fire, and just out the double doors is the stone terrace, and beyond, the slopes. Clear morning light floods the room from southeast-facing windows. The master bedroom has a big walk-in closet and a sumptuous bathroom, where peeled tree trunks frame an alcove of windows and a deep, raised soaking tub. There are double sinks, a separate water closet, a curved, glass-block shower with room for two, and a door to the outside. Slopeside Après Vous has four guest bedrooms; the first is a suite, set above the three-car garage. This suite has private access and egress: perfect for visiting friends or a nanny. There is a living area with a sleeper sofa and chair, a bedroom with a gas fireplace and stunning views through the trees towards the slopes, and a bath with dual vanities, a large soaking tub and views to the forest. The foyer’s massive log staircase leads to the second floor and the remaining three guest rooms. One is a carpeted suite, with a gas fireplace, wonderful soft seating, a walk-in closet and French doors leading to a generous bath – where a deep soaking tub stands under peaked windows. Across the interior bridge from this suite are two more bedrooms, each with a private bath, each carpeted, charming and deeply comfortable. One has a queen bed under robust log rafters, the other has two twins. Slopeside Après Vous is set nearly at the end of its road, so though all of Teton Village lies beneath it – just a quick downhill ski away – there is no traffic. When appetite strikes you can veer off the trails and ski right to the terrace, and step out of your boots for lunch by the fire or a long soak in the hot tub. The lodge is equally inviting in summer – the woods a blaze of green, the air warm and fragrant, Jackson Hole and all its possibilities spread out before you. And for inclement weather or pizza-and-a-movie night, there is a home theatre on the bottom level of the house. As with all Clear Creek Group properties, full concierge services are available to Slopeside Après Vous, including private chefs, guides, instructors and a special Children’s Concierge.
