The SpaceSix acres of private, fenced forest ideal for up to 16 people. Facilities are modest but comfortable. Space includes a 2-bedroom cabin with fireplace and a 12-bed bunkhouse plus generous outdoor space for activities. The Camp is ideal for lovers of privacy, peace and quiet, outdoors, nature, birds, fishing, boating, swimming and fresh air. There is ample, secure space for campers who wish to bring RV's, other toys or to pitch tents, too! Guest AccessAccess is down a country dirt road and through a nondescript 10' cattle gate. Safe, secure parking is abundant. RV's, ski boats, jet skis, kayaks, canoes, etc. are all welcome. If host is present, all-wheel-drive SUV may also be present for launching watercraft onsite. Interaction with GuestsHost may or may not be on-site (in separate quarters) as a resource person and respects the privacy and dynamics of your party. Host interaction with guests may be as little or much as you prefer. The NeighborhoodThe Town of Interlachen is rural and dotted with many lakes and mobile homes. Fuel, fast foods, drug store, grocery, hardware, fresh produce stand and bait shop are less than 3 miles from camp. Getting AroundIt's rural Florida... you're gonna need a vehicle to get here. Recommend you carpool to/fro... it's more fun that way! Other Things to NoteWhen you divide the nightly rental rate by a # of contributing guests, it becomes an extremely IN-expensive vacation option for a group of friends or a big family on a small budget. The spirit of the Camp experience is to disconnect from the pressures of modern life and re-connect with friends, family, fresh air and authentic Florida nature. It's perfectly okay to sit and marvel at the wildlife which teems in this private forest, take a run on your jet ski or just steal a nap in the hammocks!

The home sits on the shores of Grandin Lake in north central Florida. There are three bedrooms with a large studio / game room that overlooks the lake. The lake is great for swimming, boating, fishing or just plain lounging. There is lots of wildlife and beautiful sunsets that can be easily viewed from the large windows overlooking the lake. The house has been renovated and is clean and comfortable. There are all the normal amenities in the house from a fully equipped kitchen, television with cable service and of course, comfortable beds. The beds include a king sized, queen and a bunk bed with a very comfortable queen size futon on the bottom. There is lots of space to add sleeping bags for kids if needed. The Lakehouse... Clean and comfortable accommodations and the perfect place for relaxation and fun in the heart of Florida. THREE REASONS TO STAY... The "Lakehouse" is located in North/Central Florida on Lake Grandin. Our area was inhabited by Timucua Indian tribes and arrowheads and other artifacts have been found near the lake. The lake is perfect for water sports and fishing, so bring your boat. The area is a nature lovers paradise with great bird watching, walks under the oak trees or just a peaceful nap under the hammocks or sitting on the dock. We offer a country setting in the heart of Florida that is perfect for those looking for a true Florida getaway. Summer fun with the kids or a true quiet retreat, you pick the season. PET FRIENDLY....for those with behaved pets. Convenient..... St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach and Gainesville are all within an hours drive. Orlando and Tampa with all of their attractions are within 2 hours while traveling quiet country roads. Plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, Walmart, etc. are within 30 minutes. *Perfect for business travelers and traveling nurses working at Shands Hospital in Gainesville *Perfect for University of Florida Families coming for scouting, open house, sports events or ceremonies. *Convenient to most Florida attractions. *Great for family reunions and summer fun with the kids. *A perfect and economical get away for you northern snow birds coming down. Great package rates for extended stays. SEASONS.... SPRING/SUMMER: The weather starts warming up perfectly in March when many of the flowers start coming into bloom. Our large Azalea bushes are by far the best on the lake. After this, the water warms up nicely and the water sports begin. Throughout the summer you will see many families enjoying the lake with lots of cookouts going on. Our Summer sky is amazing with no nearby city lights. You can lay on the dock in the evening and almost feel as if you can touch the stars in the (website hidden)rfect if you have that telescope you have been wanting to try out. FALL/WINTER: Fall (starting in early October) is when the kids have gone back to school and there is a quite peacefulness on the lake. The eagles are active and there are many bird species that stop over on their way further south for the winter. Once we get into December, the sunsets can be dramatic and the Crappie and Catfish start biting well. If you really like fishing, we are only 20 minutes to Rodman Dam which is one of the premier freshwater fishing spots in the Southeast. And, don't forget, the nearby St. John's River and the many saltwater fishing locations on either coast. So, bring a boat if you have one. I have lived in the area my entire life and can help you get on the fish. The "Lake House" offers: There are 3 bedrooms with a king size bed, queen size bed and a bunk bed which has a very comfortable full size futon on the bottom. One of my favorite features is the large enclosed back porch which is 10 x 40 and overlooks the entire lake through full windows that stretch across the back. As artist's, we spend much time here drawing, sewing and just plain relaxing. There is even a foosball table for the kids, and the adults:) The ceiling's in the house are all pine tongue and groove with bamboo laminate wood throughout. There is central heat and air also in the home. There is a canoe that can be used for the lake if desired. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. We'd love to have you!

The SpaceWe are an easy-going family and love life's simple pleasures- family, good friends, music and meeting new people. We'd like to share our little slice of shangri-la so that others can enjoy its rustic charm as we do. Our little spot is everything we think a lake cottage should be: low-key, funky, comfy & cozy. There are two good-sized bedrooms, one bathroom, and a large living area comprising the kitchen, dining area, and family room. Bedroom #1 has a queen-sized bed. Bedroom #2 has a full bed, and a twin-over-full bunkbed. The family room has a t.v. hooked up to a digital antenna (no cable or internet) and a piano. There are board games, as well. The couch in the family room folds out into a bed. The kitchen is fully stocked. There is a laundry area with washer & dryer. There are also plenty of towels, sheets, and blankets available. Outside there are 2 porches- a covered one that expands the width of the house & faces the lake with a picnic table and a seating area, and a small screened-in porch at the back. In the yard are citrus trees, cabbage palms, hydrangeas, camellias, azaleas & gardenia shrubs with an overstory of Nyssa, Oaks, Pines & Red Cedar trees. There is a great kids' fort with a light-up rope swing, as well as an outdoor shower next to the house. There's a lovely new covered dock. Guest AccessLake, yard, dock, fire pit, outdoor shower, kids' fort, canoe, kayaks, paddle-boards... We ask that you please be respectful. While this is not our primary home, we do keep personal items there. Interaction with GuestsWe'll be available by phone, and could run out to help with something in a pinch if we are able. The NeighborhoodThere is abundant wildlife in the area! It is not uncommon to see osprey, hawks, Bald Eagles, Sandhill Cranes, Great Blue Herons & the like. We've even seen an otter in the lake before. While we've never seen alligators here, this is Florida so it's always a possibility. Snakes are also a given in Florida, but several of our neighbors have dogs and they tend to keep the snakes away. Getting AroundA car will be needed during your stay here. Other Things to NoteWe are an easy drive to Gainesville, so keep us in mind for Gator games! North Central FL is abundant with beautiful rivers, springs, & lakes. 25 miles to UF in Gainesville, FL 30 miles to Silver Springs 53 miles to St. Augustine, FL 84 miles to Cedar Key, FL 115 miles to Orlando, FL Please keep in mind that Airbnb charges a service fee that will be in addition to the nightly rate & cleaning fee.

Located with lakefront on private Redwater Lake, 640 acres of bass and crappi. Includes canoe. 10 secluded acres of mostly wetland and only one neighbor. Boat ramp for lake access on commons lot. One queen bed and one full size futon. Two full baths, one with tub, tile shower in master bath. Reading room, screen porch, full kitchen is all electric. Close to the town of Hawthorne, FL where you can find bait and tackle, an old time hardware store, and Dianne's BBQ for the best feast this side of Kentucky! The home is located in the Redwater Lake community, there is no public access to the lake, only access is through the community ramp or from the property. The home is has been on the market for six months. I am not anxious to sell, so it may remain there for a good while. It will take a couple of months to complete a sale once a buyer is found, but bookings more than 2 months in advance will be contingent on developments I am presently no able to predict.

'Casa Paradiso', a waterfront property, sits on almost 2 acres. Available year round. Completed in late 2011, it is an exceptionally clean home with satillo tile floors downstairs, and solid oak floors upstairs. Twelve feet of french doors face the lake for a beautiful view, and the first floor has a 9 ft ceiling. This 1040 sq ft cottage is secluded and comes fully furnished. Large kitchen has stainless appliances and black marble tiled countertops and bar, with 4 bar stools. Plantation shutters cover the windows. Very comfortable plush king bed upstairs. Master bath has travertine floor, and a large walk in tiled shower with dark emperador marble. Beautiful Tiffany-style lighting over the bar and over the sink as well as a chandelier over the dining table adds to the ambiance. Open living area on first floor which includes a sofa bed, washer and dryer, and small desk. A beautiful screened & covered pergola over patio with a beautiful and comfy swingbed, on the lakeside. Flat screen HDTV DVR with satellite on first floor and TV with satellite DVR connection and DVD player in bedroom. Satellite internet for wifi throughout cottage. Vaulted ceiling in stairway with solid oak stairs. Hookup for motor home, extra charge (inquire). The lake is crystal clear spring fed and is good for swimming, fishing, canoeing and Kayaking. Unlike some lakes in the North Central FL area, this lake is at normal/average water level, and averages as much as 25+ ft deep. Please, no gas motors in order to preserve the lake pristine. I receive many compliments on how the cottage is 'just like home' being very well appointed with furnishings that are consistent with home and is not only clean, but smells clean. The cottage is meticulously cleaned after each guest. The cottage comes equipped with 3 kayaks, a canoe, jon boat, and large 4 seater pontoon style peddle boat, and one new and several used bicycles. A 10x10 screened gazebo has been added, lakeside, and there is a firepit near the water as well with lawn chairs. There is a dock that is approximately 130 ft. The beachfront does have some aquatic plants in the water that are weeded bi-monthly in the summer months. Community Information This lake is situated in a community of 3 lakes. The lake properties are heavily wooded and mostly secluded. It is a 'golf cart community' and ideal for riding bicycles or walking/jogging. There are a number of wild animals and birds in the area, and seeing eagles fishing in the lakes is a common sight. Eagles, ospreys, hawks, swallow-tailed kite birds, and turkeys are abundant, deer, sand hill cranes, and fox are all seen in the community. Looking out the window above the kitchen sink and surrounding the front entrance, is a beautiful English butterfly garden, which also attracts hummingbirds. Thirty-five minutes from the University of Florida. Reserve early for the UF Gator football home games or graduations in Gainesville, FL . It is sure to be an exciting season! Go Gators!
