The SpaceA unique experience in a rural Kenyan community. Stay where international guests have stayed for years. Relax in the peace and quiet of the countryside or volunteer at area schools, in the community, at a children's home, or wherever you feel called. Join an international fraternity of friends working to make this small corner of Kenya a better place. Guest AccessEach room has a private bathroom and a walkout veranda overlooking Lake Nakuru. The IV staff are on premises 24 hours/day. The kitchen is available for you to prepare and cook your own meals or hire our recommended Chef. Locally grown foods are abundant in the area from fresh milk, to just picked fruits and vegetables, or buy eggs and a chicken from the local women's group running a business on the IV grounds. Interaction with GuestsThe IV staff will interact as much as you would like. If you are private, they will simply let you on the grounds, attend to your needs, and allow you to relax. If you would like to meet new friends and are looking to develop relationships the IV staff will be your first and closest Kenyan friends. If you're looking for a special treat, invite the IV team to some Nyama Choma. Enjoy an authentic Kenyan goat roast in the banda with your new friends at your new home. The NeighborhoodQuiet, safe, and friendly. This rural community welcomes and appreciates guests. You won't believe it until you experience it. The IV is truly one of the friendliest places on earth. Getting AroundBring your own driver or ask us about one of our trusted friends. If you don't want a full time driver but would like to get around our IV team will help you with a motorbike, tuk-tuk, matatu, car, or van depending on the number of people in your party and your travel budget. Other Things to NoteEvery cent (or schilling) earned by the IV is used to forward the mission of the IV. Whether it be completing another cottage or improving the grounds, helping someone that lives around the IV, or paying the IV team monthly salary.
