The SpaceBeautiful, mid century modern apt. is downstairs w private entrance. Designed in 1946, built in 47, by/for Henry Fisk, Iowa City's only architect from 1945-60. This was Fisk's family home and the downstairs had a large 'rec' room which is now your sitting area with fireplace, vintage record player, table, chairs and couch. Large windows and lots of light. Small bar area with sink, microwave, bar fridge and coffeemaker. Newly installed bathroom with shower. Bedroom in what was Henry's architectural home studio. Queen size bed with small couches, dresser, desk and chair. Walls are very unique wood, including rare, vintage sand-blasted plywood.
Coffeemaker and robust coffee provided. Guest AccessGuests have access to laundry, if needed. Home is very quiet--with concrete floors, and in-floor radiant heat.
