The SpaceThe upstairs master suite features king-size Tempurpedic bed, sitting room, walk-in closet, and stone-tiled private bath. A private balcony offers views all the way to Maine. Two other bedrooms, each with twin beds, share a full bath. A small first-floor room holds another twin bed, with a half bath nearby. The large, fully-equipped gourmet kitchen offers stunning water views while you cook. Gas grill on deck outside kitchen. The garden contains fresh herbs for your use. We are happy to host families with well-behaved children. They will love exploring the life at the water's edge. There is a nice playground 2 miles away, search the web for "naoko oflynn playground". However: you will need to supervise them carefully, especially around the water and on the deck or balcony. Small caveat: as you can see in the picture with the flowers, there are a number of steps (28 to be exact) from the parking area down to the house. That distance from the street makes it more quiet and private, and safer for kids and pets. But if anyone in your party has difficulty with stairs, you might want to choose a different property. Two cats live here when we are not renting. They will not be present for your stay, and a full professional cleaning will be done before your arrival. However, it is hard to remove every trace of them. If you are strongly allergic to cats, you might want to choose a different property. Guest AccessFull private use of first and second floors of the house, with balcony and decks. You are welcome in the yard; you might meet the owner there. Basement is off limits please. Interaction with GuestsYou will be greeted by the owner or his agent. During your stay, the owner may be present in a basement apartment (separate entrance), or may be away at another property. The NeighborhoodThe house is located in the Great Neck section of Ipswich, just where the Eagle Hill River empties into Plum Island Sound. Lobster boats moor in the sound below you, and clam diggers walk the flats. Seagulls soar into the air, dropping mussels onto the rocks to crack them open. You can fish or swim (you'll want beach shoes) right from the property. It's the perfect place to bring a canoe, kayak, or sunfish. We include a pass to Clark Beach, the residents' private beach (1.5 miles to drive, or 0.8 to walk). Or you can drive 7.5 miles to the most beautiful beach in the entire Northeast, Crane Beach. Getting AroundYou will want a car for getting around the area. There is plenty of free parking in the private driveway. The Ipswich MBTA commuter rail station 3 miles away offers service to Boston's North Station.
