The NeighborhoodThe Isle of Mull (or just 'Mull') is the second largest of the Inner Hebrides with a land area of 353 square miles (875 sq. km), about 300 miles of coastline and a resident population of around 2,800. It is one of the most accessible of the Inner Hebrides with three separate ferry routes running throughout the year. Mull is home to the only Munro (hill over 3000 feet) that requires a ferry crossing. Here on Mull we have unspoiled landscapes, beautiful white sandy beaches and an abundance of wildlife regularly featured on numerous television programmes. Getting AroundHere at Chronicle you can relax and unwind and watch the ferry sailing in and out of the bay or take advantage of the many outdoor activities and wildlife tours the island has to offer. There are bus tours around the island which leave from Craignure, so there is no need to bring your car. Cycles can be hired in the village and there are some attractions within walking distance. Other Things to NoteAcross the road from Chronicle we have the old pier and within the small bay we often see otters swimming, fishing and sometimes ‘just chilling’. So, don’t forget your camera and binoculars!! The Visitor Information Centre in Craignure has lots of ideas and leaflets for trips and tours around the island.

To take advantage of the stunning views a fourteen sq metre conservatory was built in autumn 2007. The cottage provides an ideal opportunity to relax in a spectacular and peaceful Highland setting. The village nevertheless has many amenities including a small supermarket and petrol filling station, a dive centre with a cafe/bistro, a hotel which serves bar meals, an award-winning local produce restaurant and a social club (temporary memberships available). Lochaline is a small Highland village with surprisingly good amenities and is the main settlement in the Morvern peninsula, which lies just beneath Ardnamurchan and across the sound of Mull from the Isle of Mull. It is about an hour by car from the main town of Fort William. Very comfortable property in a Highland village setting. Wonderful views from the house and the village itself. Great for walks, jogging, fishing, diving and mountain biking. Easy access from the village by ferry to Mull/Tobermory and onward to Ulva, Staffa and Iona.

There is no internet in the house but a BT (chargeable, if not a BT broadband customer) hotspot which can be accessed from the house. Comments from the visitor's book :- "Very comfortable stay, spotlessly clean and very well equipped accommodation. Good location, really enjoyed our visit to this beautiful island, we saw a sea eagle fishing at Loch Buie," - June 2016 "This is our second holiday staying in this very comfortable house, clean and tidy with great views from back of the house." "Really enjoyed our stay, the house has a great location, spacious, clean and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. We will be looking to return in the very near future." Mull is home to the only Munro (hill over 3000 feet) that requires a ferry crossing.
