Welcome to Suite 3 in our shared Brick House Loft! This sunny, secure, penthouse, private bedroom and private full bathroom is located on the 3rd floor of a shared townhouse loft with tall, exposed ceilings for a raw studio look with modern furniture in Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. The bedroom comfortably sleeps a maximum of 2 people.
Stairs to the shared 2nd floor lead to the shared lounge which is a combined kitchen and living room space with air conditioner, heater, ceiling fan, granite countertops, wood island, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker, refrigerator, iron, ironing board, super comfortable couch, complimentary wifi internet, and flat screen tv with cable and movie channels.
Stairs to the shared 3rd floor lead to a private bedroom and a private full bathroom. This spacious top floor bedroom is secure with its own lock, and has an air conditioner, heater, ceiling fan, comfortable queen bed, sitting area with a table and chairs, bright windows, a combination alarm clock/radio/sound machine/usb charger port, lamps, complimentary wifi internet, and tons of storage space in large closets. The gorgeous private full bathroom with natural and glass tiles throughout has a bath tub and shower, as well as fans for ventilation and heat. The bathroom door can also be locked for additional privacy. Additional amenities including a hair dryer, hand and bath towels, soap, shampoo, and lotion can be found in the hallway.
The friendly owners work on site and are very responsive to any issues.

We provide our guests with essentials such as towels, bed sheets, soap, shampoo, hangers, paper towels, toilet paper, paper towels, wireless internet, and late check-in. The private bedroom has air conditioning and heating, the shared kitchen is stocked with cooking tools and dishware, and the shared living room has a flat screen tv with premium cable channels and a stereo.
Guests have access to a private bedroom with a lock and a private bathroom with a lock on the shared 3rd floor, a shared lounge that has a combined full kitchen and living room with cable tv on the shared 2nd floor, and all the amenities specified in this listing. The common areas including the shared kitchen/living room, stairs, and hallways should remain clean and clear of personal items at all times.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
We work on site and occasionally use the shared kitchen/living room for short breaks. We check guests in whenever possible, and encourage everyone to contact us asap with any questions or problems. We embrace all cultures and respect your privacy throughout your stay.

The Brick House is part of a fabulous community in Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. We are a block away from popular neighborhood cafes if you prefer that to making your own tea or coffee! Great location in a diverse, artsy neighborhood, near the SouthWest Corridor park, and a stone’s throw to playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, skate park, and a bike path into downtown Boston. Only a 7-minute walk to Stony Brook train station, or a 5-minute walk to Green Street train station on Boston's MBTA Orange line, or a 1-minute walk to The Brewery buildings that host Ula Cafe, Mike’s Fitness JP, Tony Williams Dance Center, Sam Adams Brewery, Bella Luna Restaurant, and The Milky Way Lounge. Also convenient to WikidFit Personal Training, Chilacates, Yachris Market, City Feed, La Rana Rossa, grocery stores, and other attractions such as Hyde Square, Jamaica Pond and local JP businesses. Quick T ride or drive to downtown Boston and the South End. Brookline, Cambridge, Dorchester, Hyde Park, Roslindale, Roxbury, and West Roxbury are also close by.
JP is a fun place to visit and a convenient base for Boston vacationing. The Orange Line is one of the faster lines on the MBTA and brings you downtown in as little as 10 minutes. Easy travels to Back Bay, North Station, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Mass Ave, Harvard Square and pretty much anywhere T accessible including the many local colleges and universities.
The Pierre Lallement Bicycle Path (also called the Southwest Corridor Bicycle Path) is approximately 4.7 miles. The bike path is a major commuting artery that links the neighborhoods in the southwest section of Boston to the downtown and is a popular destination for bicyclists. There are numerous stopping points along the way, including benches, playgrounds, water fountains and sports facilities. The path travels near a variety of good restaurants and stores. Near the Forest Hills end of the path, it is an easy link to Franklin Park and to the Arnold Arboretum. Near Roxbury Crossing, Ruggles and Mass. Ave. it is an easy link to parks and cultural attractions in the Fenway neighborhood and to the South End, Back Bay and Copley Square. Several Hubway bike sharing stations are available near our studio for those interested in biking during their visit.
This is a great location for tourists but also for doctors, researchers and patients needing access to the Longwood Medical Area or families visiting their local college students!

If you would like to map out our property to different locations around town, you can map it out to the intersection of Minton Street and Merriam Street in Jamaica Plain, MA, 02130. This will give you an accurate idea of distance, and travel time needed. We encourage you to use the MBTA's official website which allows you to map out directions, including walking time to the various train, subway, commuter rail, and bus stations! We are also near Rt. 9 and Rt. 93 both of which take you to I-95 or I-90 (Mass Pike).
Unfortunately, our property does not include parking, so if you drive, please park on Minton Street, Merriam Street, Brookside Avenue, Cornwall Street, or Amory Street. Do not park on the property or your car will be towed at your expense.
Train / Subway

Stony Brook train station and Green Street train station are both here in Jamaica Plain and are only minutes away from our property. Forest Hills station and Jackson Square station are also close by.
Our property is about a 15-minute walk away from the 39 Bus that drives down Centre Street into Longwood Medical Center and later into Back Bay station. There are also other bus lines close by.
Long-Distance Bus / South Station Bus Terminal
If traveling via Peter Pan, Greyhound, Mega Bus, or one of the other long-distance bus lines you will stop at the South Boston Bus Terminal. From there you can catch a taxi, lyft, uber ride to our place, or walk over to Downtown Crossing to pick up one of the Orange lines to our place.
Bike Share / Car Share / Taxi / Uber / Lyft
Driving into Boston, Cambridge, Brookline etc. is easy, but parking can be difficult so we recommend you take the train, use the Hubway bike share, or use the Enterprise or Zipcar car share when available. You can also call one of the various taxi companies or use a phone app to request a ride from Lyft or Uber.
A ride to and from the airport will cost anywhere from $25-40 depending on time of day and whether you use a ride-sharing app like Lyft or Uber or a standard taxi. You can also take public transportation which leaves from the airport for approximately $3.00. If you would like recommendations on a Lyft/Uber driver in Boston, we can provide a name and contact info.
We are a quick and easy train ride to downtown Boston. The Stony Brook stop on the Orange line is just a couple of blocks away and takes you directly downtown. The ride can take as little as 10 minutes depending on what part of the city you are going to.
You can have several options to travel to Fenway Park from our location on the train or driving/taxi. Some are train and walking, some are train and bus, some are bus and walking but all are pretty easy. The train ride to the TD BankNorth Garden is direct, fast and easy!
