The SpaceThe home is secluded enough to provide privacy yet the activities in the area are only minutes away. Our rental home has a private entry, one car garage, ample parking, wood stove, granite kitchen counter tops, master bath with a jacuzzi bathtub. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and has all you will need and more. It is complete with gas range, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave and a coffee pot. Additionally, we stock pantry staples like sugar, salt, oil, flour, spices, tea, aluminum foil, etc for your use to supplement any food you may chose to bring. This home is comfortable for a group of 8 people with 4 private bedrooms but can accommodate 2 more with an available sleeper sofa and extra charge per person above 8 people. Linens, towels, blankets, toilet paper, soap, paper towels are all provided.
Off the kitchen, there is a large deck with a picnic table and table with chairs and umbrella. The deck gets all the morning sun and is great for morning coffee. You will have access to trails for walking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing (see pictures). You can even build a camp fire in the evening in our back yard or swing on the hammock. We even have a professionally lined pickle ball court in the front courtyard and equipment available for your use and enjoyment! There is flatscreen TV with DISH network for watching shows, sporting events or movies. You will also have access to wireless Wifi. Guest AccessFull access to the rental home which is attached but separate and private from our home. Interaction with GuestsWe will always be available for anything you need and are happy to advise you on things to do in the area but respect your privacy and interaction will be on an as needed basis. We have lived in this area for 23 years, drawn to it by the many recreational opportunities, mountains and relaxed lifestyle. The NeighborhoodEnjoy everything the area has to offer during each season: skiing, hiking, kayaking, biking, fishing, swimming and the best foliage in VT. Smuggler's Notch Ski Resort is right down the road and offers many recreational activities. The area offers many family-friendly activities, restaurants and dining. Our home is less than 1/2 mile from The Barn at Smugglers Notch, a beautiful, newly built wedding barn with attached wine bar open to public. COL, The Wine Bar(n) at Smugglers' Notch is a new Wine Tasting Facility located at the base of Smugglers' Notch. It offers one of the more extensive wine lists in Vermont. Just one mile down the road, in the quaint town of Jeffersonville, Hanley's General Store and The Farm Store offer food, groceries, and Vermont made goods. The Cupboard Deli has the best sandwiches, beer cave and donuts. The Boyden Valley Winery and Boyden wedding barn are 5 minutes away. The Smugglers Notch Distillery offers tastings of local award winning spirits. Restaurants in the town of Jeffersonville, like The Family Table and 158 Main, allow for dining choices off the mountain.
Access Stowe by taking a breathtaking drive through the mountain pass road (Rte. 108) that connects Smugglers Notch and Stowe. Stunning during foliage! During the winter, this windy mountain pass is closed for safety. Getting AroundA vehicle is recommended. Public transportation is limited to a bus that runs from Jeffersonville to Burlington with limited times.
