The SpaceWe live in our home and share it with our guests. Our guest room has a queen size bed with a TV. The bathroom is located in the hall near the guest room with a room divider for added privacy. Our guests will have use of our kitchen, refrigerator, washing machine, dryer and detergent. Iron and ironing board are available.
Our loft is available for additional guests if they are friends/family of guests in our main guest room. There is no door to the upper loft but there is a half bath, sofa and queen size bed.
Smoking is permitted on the porches but not inside the house. No drugs or pets are allowed. No additional guests are permitted inside the home unless we approve in advance. Please feel free to come and go as you want. You will be given a front door code upon your arrival. Usually we like to know your approximate arrival time so we can greet you when you arrive.
We live in a quiet neighborhood. Parking is available near our mail box or at the bottom of our driveway.
There is an extra charge if there are more than 2 guests. WiFi is available. Interaction with GuestsAlthough we will be sharing the same common area with our guests, we will respect their need of having alone time. All of our home is available for use of our guests except the Master bedroom and garage. Getting AroundOur guests will need to have their own transportation. Parking area available. Other Things to Note Jonesborough is the oldest town in Tennessee and a wonderful place to visit. It is approximately 25 minutes from our home.
The heart of Johnson City is 17 minutes from us.
We are approximately 35 minutes (25 miles) from the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee.
Milligan College is about 2 miles away and East Tennessee State University is approximately 10 miles from us.
Asheville, North Carolina is only one hour away. Asheville is full of neat things to do, however, the walking food tour is a unique experience(URL HIDDEN)
We are fortunate to be only one hour from Abingdon, Virginia where the well known "Barter Theater" is located.
Also, close to Abingdon is a small town called Damascus. Damascus is known for the "Creeper Trail". Here you can ride a bike 16 miles down hill. It's a beautiful bike ride and they also have bikes to rent.
Watauga Lake is located 25 minutes from us. Here people enjoy picnic's, kayaking, swimming and one can rent a pontoon boat from the marina.
If you are into wine tasting, located about 30 minutes from us in Butler, TN is a place called Watauga Lake Winery. They are open from April to December. It's a beautiful area to visit.
Elizabethton, TN is only 10 minutes from us. They have several antique stores and nice places to eat. During the summer, on Saturdays, people bring their vehicles to put on display around 5:30pm. Most of them are antiques. It's free.
