Suite 5 currently comfortably sleeps 4 including 1 bedroom with a queen bed and daybed with trundle (2 twins) in the forward sitting area. An additional daybed will be added during summer months (June 1 through September 5); for more information about additional guests, please feel free to call or write. Guest AccessSuite 5 is located on the second floor. While there is also a rear access door to this suite, it is only used for emergency during the snow season. Parking is free, there is plenty of parking and guests may park anywhere. Interaction with GuestsI am available 24 hours a day. My phone number is ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). Guests are encouraged to call should they need anything. The NeighborhoodThere is so much to do in the Eastern Sierras. Silver Pines Chalet is located in the June Lake Village, between June Lake (1 block) and Gull Lake (3 blocks). The lakes freeze during the winter, but can be a great source of fun during spring, summer and fall months from fishing and swimming to boating. Gull lake has a large rock on the far end with a rope swing for the daring... Locally, there is hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, motocross, and an endless list of national parks and monuments to visit (Bodie Ghost Town, Mono Lake, Oh Nellie Deli, Yosemite...) and there's nothing like ending a long day of activities with a visit to the natural hot springs. (One day here is not long enough!) Getting AroundIf you're here in the winter, June Mountain is less than a mile away for skiing and snowboarding, but if your intent is to get to Mammoth, and you don't want to drive, there is a buss that will take you down to Mammoth. The bus picks up at the June Mountain parking area every morning at 8:00 a.m. and returns at about 4:10 (you should call for details). I believe the bus here takes folks down to the Mammoth Village, where you have to catch the red line bus to the mountain. It's an easy transition and the red line runs every few minutes. I think the trick is making sure you catch the bus back to June Lake on time. However, if you start your day early, and are on the mountain by 9:00 a.m., usually 6 hours is plenty. During the summer shuttles to Mammoth run more often. Guests will have to look up the schedule details. Finally, because we're located in the June Lake Village, you can walk to town and local restaurants and shops. Other Things to NoteThe Eastern Sierra's is a magical place with so much to do....from skiing and snowboarding, and natural hot springs in the winter, to hiking, biking, swimming ...during the summer.
