The SpaceClose to the town center where three big super markets, Banks and etc. Yet the surroundings of the cottage is rather peaceful especially at the back. Guest AccessAs well as the inside of the cottage, around the cottage offers some hide away with privacy especially at the back of the cottage ... (see photo) There is an internal access; from the lock up garage which has a remote opener, you can go into the rooms. Interaction with GuestsLynn will welcome you to the cottage, and after that you will be completely independent, only when you need some assistance you contact Lynn. Cooked breakfast is not included although some basic food is in the fridge and freezer. You can have cooked breakfast at Lynn´s which is 3 min walk, for $10 per person. If you would like to have dinner (home cooking by Lynn), she will be happy to prepare it for you. ($25 per person) when she is not too busy. Just ask! The NeighborhoodAt the back of the cottage, there is a farm with a lot of open space and cows. However, there are houses, including the owner's one in front of the cottage. The neighbours are very nice and friendly people as well. Getting AroundThere is no public transportation. Pick up service is available. Make an arrangement with Lynn. If you have your own car, a lock up garage is available. The garage is with an automatic door opener and the internal access to the cottage. There are a lot of possibilities to walk around the surrounding. There is Hone Heke Memorial on the top of the hill nearby. You can have a 360 degrees view from there. It is 15 to 20 minutes walk from the cottage. Other Things to NoteKaikohe is a perfect base to explore the region of Far North. Kerikeri and Paihia are only half an hour away. Within one hour, you can reach Hokianga to the west, the famous Tane Mahuta to the south and other Kauri forests to the north. Enjoy your stay!

The SpaceThis place is ideal for travelers who want a comfortable nights sleep and who are interested in New Zealand dairy farm practice. Perfect as a cost effective base to explore both the East and West Coast. Opononi 40 minute drive, Paihia 40 minute drive. 15 minutes from Kaikohe Cycle trail. We have 3 mountain bikes available for use. Guest AccessYou enter the house into the open kitchen and dining room. The space that will be rented is the two rooms and bathroom that is down the short hallway. Fully equipped kitchen and dining and deck is available to guests. Interaction with GuestsThe host is available in the evenings and weekends. During the day farmers will be using the kitchen facilities for coffee breaks and lunch. They are friendly and hospitable - so be prepared to be offered a coffee too! We are very relaxed here so feel free to use BBQ and all kitchen facilities. Other Things to NoteThis is a working farm so miking trucks, tractors, quads and motorbikes will be using the driveway. You must park in the carport area to ensure your vehicle is not in the way.

Getting AroundNo public transport so cyclists and visitors with independant transport welcome. Rental cars are available at Kerikeri Airport which is approx 15 mins from the Apartment. Other Things to NoteGreat places to visit locally include Forest pools, Puketi Forest walks, Waiare Boulders, Kohukohu, Rawene, Opononi. The largest tree, Tane Mahuta found in the Waipoua Forest. The tip of the North Island, The Cape is an easy day trip and a truly spiritual experience. The Bay of Islands has beautiful scenic spots and offers a wide variety of food outlets and night life.

The SpaceThe house is situated on a 5 acre lifestyle block with pure angus beef stock. Nestled up in the hills the property has lovely views of the countryside. The swimming pool provides fun and entertainment for the children in the summer months and a relaxing way to cool down. The house gets full sunlight all day long. It's a great place to base yourself in Northland as you are in the hub of Te Tai Tokerau. Located in the centre of the Island it is 30 mins from the East Coast and 30 mins from the West Coast. You are also able to do a day trip to Cape Reinga which is 192km or 2.5 hour drive. Supermarkets (New world and Count Down) and Warehouse are only 5 mins drive. The town centre with banks and post office are only 5 mins drive. There is a gym in town $5 per visit. Guest AccessYou will have access to the whole house and pool. The yard which has a childrens playhouse and a large lawn and garden which you can enjoy play with the children etc. Beach gear is located in the garage which on request can be left out. There is also camping gear shall you need it (three man tent) sleeping bags mattresses, gas stove pots etc. Kite for the children to fly. Beach Cricket set. Fishing gear. If there is produce in the garden please do use what you need. Interaction with GuestsWe have a property manager who will meet you to give you keys and show you through the house and explain the 'house rules'. The manager will be available to assist during your stay. If you would like the house serviced daily this is also an option. Getting AroundWe recommend you have your own transport as you will need a car to get groceries and go sight seeing. However there is a bus service Intercity which takes you into Kaikohe town. Naked bus will take you to Kawakawa which is (35km or 25mins away). Other Things to NoteSpecial prices will be given to single occupants. Prices provided are for 4 occupants. It will also depend on how many rooms you use. Please send a booking request and I will provide the special price (which will depend on the time of the year). There is a bike track which goes behind the house through the old railway tracks and there is a tunnel which is great for the children to walk through. Bikes can be hired from town if you fancy to ride to Okaihau (10km) Lake Omapere is on the path and is good to walk/ride to for a picnic lunch. Zest Cafe in Keri Keri do the best smoothies banana and mango (combined)... Cafe Malahi in Kaikohe have great food. Pumpkin salad a specialty. Personal Space (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) - Mara is great for blow dry's or up do's hair straightening ladies hair cuts. Linda - is the best massage you will find in Northland. Linda uses maori medicine (Rongoa). Xpertise (opposite Toyota) - Lucy is great for male haircuts.

    Take the time to heal yourself at New Zealand's unique healing hot pools (Ngawha Hot Springs) and mineral spa (Ngawha Spa), which are only a short stroll away from Ngawha Retreat and usually are open for public the whole year around.
