It is the start of the Bibbulmun track and has heaps of mountain bike and walking trails. The famous Zig Zig park is close by also the Lesmurdie falls in Winter is quite majestic. Getting AroundThere is Buses from Kalamunda to the City. Taxi from the airport is about $30 AUD. Depending on times, we would be happy to collect you. We have plenty of parking at the house of required Other Things to NoteWe have 2 very lovely dogs, they live in their space and no need to come into yours unless you want to play.

The SpaceWe have a spare room with private ensuite and own entry available for rent. Our cottage home is full of character, nestled in the Eastern Perth hills. You will have your own bedroom with private entry from outside, a queen size bed and wardrobe, bathroom with toilet and shower. Another adjoining room is available for your use with access to outside and courtyard area. It can be used to store cases etc if more space is required. We enjoy a smoke free environment though you may smoke outside your room under your private veranda. Kalamunda is 15 mins drive from the airport, close to wineries in Bickley valley and the Swan valley. We have many walk tracks in the area including the Northern Terminus of the Bibbulmun track. Perth city is 45 mins by bus, 30 mins by car. Price includes continental breakfast. An optional extra of airport pick up and drop off may be available subject to timings at $30 each way (taxi, if you can get one is around $45). Free wi-fi available. As our guest, it is your decision if you wish to interact with us, your privacy can be assured. We are social people and will enjoy a drink and chat with our guests when appropriate. Public transport is available from kalamunda station. (15 min walk) and from corner st emilies and kalamunda road.(5 min walk). The Airbnb map shows us on Temby Avenue but we cannot change that sorry! Guest AccessGuests will have their private facilities and be able to share the kitchen, lounge and dining room freely with us. There are plenty of outside areas to relax and enjoy our natural environment. Interaction with GuestsAs our guest, it is your decision if you wish to interact with us, your privacy can be assured. We are social people and will enjoy a drink and chat with our guests when appropriate. The NeighborhoodKalamunda is quiet peaceful town with a country feel. The first Saturday of every month is market day boasting local arts crafts, produce and a great community spirit. Every Sunday there is a farmers market for fresh locally grown produce. There are many local eateries, coffee shops and a couple of pubs all within 20 mins walk from home. Getting AroundPublic transport is available from Kalamunda station. (15 min walk) and from the corner of St Emilies and Kalamunda road (5 min walk but steep hill). Breakfast in your own dining area (including cereals, fruit juice, bread or toast, cheese, ham and tomatoes, fresh fruit, tea and coffee) is provided. Alternatively take your provisions outside and breakfast while overlooking the forest. Guest AccessParking is adjacent to the house. Separate access to the guest suite is available so you can come and go as you please. The swimming pool and patio area may be used at any time. There are several areas in the extensive gardens where guests may relax and enjoy the bird life and the peace and beauty of the Regional Park. The Kalamunda History Village is just next door and guarantees a delightful experience. Getting AroundThe Domestic and International Airport is a short 20 minute drive from 'The Spring' Apartment. Taxis are always available for your comfortable transport both to and from the apartment. A regular bus service (500m away), connects with the nearby regional centre of Midland, from which trains run into the Capital city of Perth. We also provide our guests with two well maintained bicycles to enjoy in the local area. Kalamunda has several easy-to-ride bike trails close by The Spring apartment. Other Things to Note'The Spring' Apartment is half a km from cafes, restaurants, shopping centre, specialty shops, hotels and taverns. A National Park is on the doorstep and boutique wineries and organic cafes are a short drive or cycle away. Reverse osmosis drinking water is on tap. No need for bottled water! We are very happy to provide supplies for a self prepared continental breakfast.

It's just a short walk to Tourist Info Office, via the coffee strip. The NeighborhoodIt's a quiet area with elderly neighbours close by. Getting AroundShort walk to bus stop. Plenty of street parking and room for your car in the driveway. Other Things to NoteIf you love the forest and village life, but with easy access to the city, this is for you.

        The SpaceThe studio room is large, bright and relaxing for short and longer stays. The sleeping area, en suite and WIR are at one end and the sitting area, with TV, desk/table, at the other with large windows overlooking the garden. There is a small fridge, microwave and crockery. The private entry is up small steps from the parking area and has a security senor light. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided and a continental breakfast is available on request. Large bath towels are provided. A second bed can be added to the room for a 3rd person on request. Guest AccessGuests are welcome to enjoy the front and side gardens during there stay. Laundry can be accessed on request. During the summer months, the pool may also be available. Interaction with GuestsWe like to respect guest privacy and request ours in return, however we are welcoming of our guests and available should you need us. We are also a font of knowledge for traveling in and around Perth/WA and we're happy to chat about other destinations too. The NeighborhoodKalamunda is a wonderful spot to base yourself whilst exploring all the great things on offer in the Darling ranges. The beautiful Bickley Valley is a great place to enjoy wine and cider tasting, afternoon tea or visit the Perth observatory or fabulous reservoirs. In Kalamunda town centre and surrounds, we have a great selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Massages and spa treatments are also available. On the first Saturday of every month the long standing Art & Craft market is held in the quaint centre and every Sunday morning we have the amazing farmers market proudly supporting our local producers - there is always something yummy to be had. Kalamunda is also the start/finish of the Bibbulman track and there are other great hiking and biking tracks in the surrounding regional parks. The Mundy regional park is at your door step with links to the Lesmurdie Falls. Further afield the Swan Valley wine region, entered via the historical town of Guildford is a 20 minute drive and Perth CBD 30 minutes. Getting AroundWe are located a short distance from the airport (and not under the flight path!) If you are driving, we are approx. 15 mins from the airport and you have off street private parking. The town centre and public transport is within walking distance. Other Things to NoteWifi and a small music docking station is available in your room, as well as information about the local area and things to do. An evening meal can normally be arranged for $15 per person - please let us know in advance. We run a creative workshop from the property - guests can book to join an existing workshop or have a chat with us about what's on offer.

Plenty of books and board games provided for relaxing at home. No through road. Guest AccessEverything except one top floor room. The NeighborhoodKalamunda and Jorgenson Parks right across the road with plenty of walk trails, maps supplied. Kalamunda Circuit, 15 minute drive away, offers world class Mountain Biking. Plenty of restaurants and cafes as well as shops only 1.6km away. Bickley Valley around the corner offers plenty of award winning Wineries and a fabulous Cidery in Pickering Brook. Sunday mornings Kalamunda offers a Farmers Market from 8-12 with lots of fresh fruit & veg plus plenty of other treats. First Saturday of each month is a Craft Market. Getting AroundOnly 30 minutes from CBD (off peak) and 20 minutes from International Airport. Best to have a car, though there is a bus service from Kalamunda, which would be a 2km walk to get to. Other Things to NoteLinen, towels supplied. Driveway is steep but has a double carport and turning space at top. There are high balconies so young children may not be safe, though you can lock entrances to them. There is no way of blocking off the staircase though (see photos). Kangaroos, Quenda, Possum and birds frequent. Can park 3 cars at top of drive, 2 in car port.

We provide you with fresh towels and linen as well as some tea and coffee supplies. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, oven, stove, cutlery, plates, cooking utensils, kettle and toaster. There is plenty of shaded secure parking and enclosed Garage available also. Reverse cycle AC in living room and master bedroom. Short drive to wineries, shops, restaurants and beautiful Lesmurdie Water fall! Zig Zag Cultural Centre is just 1.8km away.
