We are a 15 minute drive from Perth city centre. Collier Park golf course is walking distance from home and just $25 per round ! We are walking distance to Curtin University. Nearby Victoria Park & East Victoria Park have a fantastic strip of shops, restaurants of all types and a wide choice of pubs and bars. Perth has a mixture of the Californian and Mediterranean climates, with mild winters and hot dry summers. Perth is the sunniest capital in Australia with an average of eight hours sunshine a day. The skies above Perth are often bright blue without a cloud in the sky. Combine the warm weather and beautiful beaches and it's easy to see why so many people enjoy the outdoor lifestyle of Western Australia. In summer many people can be found at one of the many beautiful white sandy beaches along the coast line, cooling down in the clean blue Indian Ocean. The summer months are hot with an average temperature of 29 degrees Celsius during the day, and 17 degrees celsius at night. Beware, those from cold climates, some days around New Year's have been known to rise to and above 40 degrees celcius (about 104 degrees farenheit)! The warm summer days are cooled down in the afternoon with the "Fremantle Doctor", a strong sea breeze that blows in from the ocean. The "Doctor" blows away the hot air trapped above the Perth Metropolitan Area and the Darling Ranges, providing an excellent wind for windsurfing and sailing on the Swan River. The winter months in Perth are from June to August and are mild, with an average temperature of 18 degrees C during the day, and 9 degrees C at night. The wettest month of the year is July, and the average yearly rainfall is around 880mm. The rain seems to come down hard and quickly, and will be followed in many instances with sunny periods. It rarely gets cold enough for snow to fall or frost to form. Getting AroundWe are a 2 minute walk to the bus stop, and bus no 33 takes 20 minutes to Perth City. Bus 34 also goes to Perth City, via Perth Zoo and South Perth. Other Things to NoteWe try hard to keep the house, especially the kitchen area clean and tidy, so ask our valued guests to leave the kitchen the way they find it :) Checkin time is usually after 11am and checkout time is usually by 10am - if you require earlier or later please ask and we will do our best to accommodate. When guests checkout they are required to leave the premises at time of checkout (sorry to have to state this but we have had some guests who expect to remain in the shared areas of the house until afternoon or even late night). We strongly advise all our guests to be careful to not leave valuables in their vehicles - sadly car break-ins happen every day all over Perth and the best way to avoid this is to leave vehicles empty whenever parked.

The house is a 5 minute walk to a bus stop. Regular, clean buses run to Victoria Park for supermarkets, restaurants, pubs & cafes in 5 minutes and then a further 10 minutes into Perth City. For guests who prefer to drive we have plenty of free parking at the house.
