The SpaceThe upstairs retreat will be yours. There are 2 master bedrooms. The spacious en-suite has a deep bath for those times you need to relax in a bubble bath. The NeighborhoodThe beach lifestyle in Perth is amazing. The stunning Scarborough Beach is only 4 minutes drive. Many other sights are nearby: Hillary's Marina, Cottesloe Beach, Fremantle, Kings Park and Perth City. Cafes, restaurants, hotels and shops, including one of Perths best, The Karrinyup Shopping Centre are all within walking distance. Getting AroundPlenty of parking is available. A bus stop is only a minute up the road with easy transport to the beach, the cafes and restaurants, the shopping centres, the movie cinema and of course, to the train station with transfers to the city. A taxi fare from the airport is approx. $48.

All amenities are either within walking distance or easily accessible by bus which is located two streets away on a main bus route. Scarborough beach is a 5 min drive, bus ride or 20 minute walk, you will be spoilt for choice with various day and evening activities (Beach, restaurants, bars, clubs, cafe, take away) or stick to our local strip of coffee shops, take away and bar. There is plenty of parking available. We offer Wifi, Netflix and continental Breakfast with a Nespresso to kick start the day and make your stay comfortable. I have included photos of our animals which are very much part of the family. It is your choice to offer them attention, a closed door will keep them out of your personal space. Guest AccessWith the privacy and sanctuary of your own space you are also welcome to enjoy what our home has to offer. The bathroom which includes a bath and shower would be mainly used as your private bathroom which is located next to your bedroom. The toilet is separate. The downstairs has open plan living which is accessible to our guests. We offer a fully equipped kitchen which you are welcome to use, at times we would be happy to include our guests in a shared meal. We are preparing a separate room which would also offer our guests extra privacy. Alfresco area is a great space, you are welcome to use the BBQ and sit outside. The SpaceTimber floors throughout the light and bright living spaces give a clean, modern look. A recently renovated kitchen with stone bench tops, top quality appliances and breakfast bar provides a bright, vibrant space to start the day. The open plan living area consists of the kitchen, dining and living room, complete with reverse cycle air conditioner and gas heating for the winter. The kitchen looks out over the 2nd living area - a huge, covered patio that is great for BBQs and evening dining. You have full visibility of what is going on in the pool from the kitchen and patio. There is long table in the patio that seats 10 and 2 cosy sofas separated by a coffee table. There is also a fridge with a cold water and ice dispenser in the patio area. The pool is only a few years old and solar heated during spring, summer and autumn. At the southern end of the pool is a covered day-bed area and outdoor hot\cold shower. The house comfortably sleeps 5 people. The bedrooms are carpeted throughout. The master bedroom includes a QS bed and a ensuite with large cabinet and mirror, double shower and toilet. There are 2 additional bedrooms, one with 1 SB and the other with 2 SB. the larger of the these bedrooms has additional floor space to accommodate a spare mattress, located under one of the beds. The main bathroom has a shower, separate bath and vanity sink. The toilet is separate, accessed through the laundry. The back and front yards include grassed areas, a trampoline, and a swing set. Parking is possible in the driveway as well as on the street. Guest AccessThe study is where we intend to store personal belongings and will be off limits. Interaction with GuestsWe will be away traveling overseas or staying at the family beach house at the times we have listed as available. We have family and friends that will help you settle in on arrival. The NeighborhoodThe house is on a quiet residential street with only local traffic. The neighbours are all very family orientated and friendly. You are easily able to walk the 1.5km to Scarborugh or Trigg beach and enjoy a swim or make use of the many restaurants and cafes. Heading 800m in the opposite direction gets you to the Karrinyup shopping centre - a very large suburban shopping centre and public transportation hub. The airport is a 25 minute drive. Getting AroundIf coming from the city or airport, head north up the Mitchell Fwy and get off at Karrinyup Rd. Other Things to NoteWe have 2 friendly short-haired cats that live with us and they will be relocated to a family member's home when we have guests using the house.

The SpaceMy home is a cosy little nook approx 1.5 kms from Scarborough and Trigg beaches. The double room on offer faces west and has it's own private bathroom with a bath. Use the secluded courtyard to relax or visit Karrinyup shopping centre This is a near new town house with plenty of light and a beautiful ambience. It has one living area downstairs that you would share with me when I am home and a delightful north facing courtyard to relax in. There is a queen size bed and your private bathroom houses a deep bath for relaxing away any travel weariness. There is a double lock up garage so if you have a small vehicle you may park there otherwise it is street parking (no charge) This is my home but you are welcome to use most facilities, eg washing machine (sorry no dryer), tv and the kitchen facilities as long as you clean up after yourself. Yes there is a dishwasher in the kitchen :) I am often out and sometimes I do work from home but am happy to help with places to visit, local eateries etc. I will respect your privacy and interact as much or as little as you indicate and on most occasions I will be available to greet you on arrival. Doubleview is a mix of of old and new housing and has the feel of Scarborough but a bit closer to the city and other inner suburbs. You can smell the beach and the afternoon sea breeze helps to keep us cool. In places you can see the city and the hills and other parts the ocean. It is my favourite place to live. If you have a car, there is close access to the mitchell freeway that links to most other major roads around Perth. It is close to Perth city, our fabulous beaches, a short 30 minute trip from Fremantle and 15 minutes to Hillaries Marina. If not it is on a bus route that connects to the Stirling train station and taxi's are also fairly quick in servicing this area. It will take you only 20 minutes to walk to the closest beach if you feel like the excercise. My location is only a short stroll to the Karrinyup shopping centre or a 5 minute drive to Westfield Innaloo shopping centre. It is near to a bus stop that links to the Stirling Train station, has coffee shops and restaurants in close proximity and if you like the movies, it is a short 5 minute car trip to Greater Union cinemas. The Mitchell freeway (linking most of Perth and the surrounding suburbs) is also only 5 minutes drive by car. A very cosy upstairs apartment with a 'tree house' feel 14 minutes from the Perth CBD and 5 minutes from Scarborough Beach. The kitchen/dining area offers views across the ocean to Rottnest Island and the main lighthouse 'blinking billy' can be seen at night. The apartment has its own private entrance through two enchanting Balinese courtyards which are solely for guest use. You will also be able to enjoy the use of the large swimming pool with its hot outdoor shower. Karrinyup is well serviced with a large shopping centre and rail and bus services are close by. Please note that 10% of your tariff will be donated to Oceanwise(www.oceanwise.com.au) for research into whale sharks and preservation of Ningaloo Reef at Exmouth in our states far north.

Interaction with GuestsMy work is flexible so I will be around for chats and casual hangs - I pop down to the local bars at Scarborough beach and the Karrinyup Shopping Centre regularly and am happy to show guests around during their stay. However, I am happy to allow guests their own space and independent exploration of the area if that is their preference. The NeighborhoodJust a short stroll to the local mini supermarket, a couple of cafes and The Saint pub. Easy access to Karrinyup Shopping Centre, Scarborough Beach and the local pubs/ cafe's in between if you have a bike or car, or via public transport. There is a bus stop just next door with transport maximum 10 minutes each way to the beach and also to the train station for access to the CBD. There is also off street parking in the bays out the front, or guests can request use of the lock up garage. Other Things to NoteI have a medium sized dog called Lulu! She is very friendly, great with all people, kids and other animals. She loves cuddles, affection and is very well trained but she does have free access in and out of the house as she is a part of the family. You can keep lulu out of your room but she is allowed into the lounge and kitchen areas.
