The SpaceBedroom 2 is in the annex, across the verandah, separate and independent from the main house. It's a cool room shaded by the Rose Apple tree in the garden. Floor stand fan (non-A/C). Double bed. Attached private shower room with shower, basin and toilet. Guest AccessGuests are free to access all part of the house. The sitting room seating area features a wide screen TV with many English Language channels. And there is a round dining table for guests' use. The NeighborhoodIn our neighbourhood, the Dalupotha area of Negombo, the people are warm and welcoming, with a ready shy smile for visitors. There are several local shops; one very small, at the end of our garden. Within a short walk to the end of the road are two more shops, open late, one medium size and one large, where you can buy just about anything you need. We will be very happy to pick you up at the airport in our tuktuk, and we will be pleased to drop you off at the airport at the end of your stay.

GETTING AROUND IN NEGOMBO
We are a short tuktuk 5 minute ride to the main Colombo Road where buses pass South to Negombo and Colombo and North to Chillaw.
Negombo Town and Negombo beachside are each 10 minutes by tuktuk, The normal fare is only Rs 250 $1.80 GBP 1.20p.
Resident houseman/tuktuk driver Chaminda will be pleased to drop you off in Negombo Town or Negombo Beachside. He will give you a business card with his phone number, so when you wish to return you can ask your tuktuk driver to call Chaminda, to get directions in Sinhala to locate our house.

From Negombo Bus Stand buses depart to destinations island wide.
The A/C highway buses to Colombo (40 minutes) depart frequently and the fare is Rs 120 $ 1.50 GBP 1. Avoid the early morning rush hour popular with Colombo commuters, when long queue form to board the A/C Highway buses.
Chaminda is normally available to drive guests around Negombo, and he also does airport pickups and drop offs by arrangement.
If Chaminda is busy or unavailable, we have the telephone number of other local tuktuk drivers who will come in minutes to pick you up from the house and take you to Negombo Beachside or Negombo Town.
From Negombo station there are trains to destinations island wide. Other Things to NoteGuests may sometimes encounter cows grazing the grass road verges in the village. One gentle cow we have name Hoppy because she has lost half a front leg. She gets around bravely but slowly, and seems to manage to lead a cow's life OK
