As a bonus the cottage contains an attached large screened in room to enjoy a cool beverage, play some board games, and enjoy the beach and ocean views. This cottage is priced under market value "for now" to get exposure. Cottage View: You will have amazing views of the Malpeque harbor, sand dunes, beaches and the open ocean. You can view the fishing and lobster boats leave and return to the Malpeque wharf or just stare at the ocean surf. The cottage has been situated to take maximum advantage of the amazing unobstructed ocean views, the stunning sunrises and sunsets. There is plenty of room to stroll, explore, kayak, bird watch (blue herons frequent the area), bicycle, beachcomb, dig for clams and of course relax! Cabot Beach: You would be staying at one of the closest cottages to Cabot Beach Provincial Park or just “Cabot” as the locals call it. Cabot is one of the most beautiful provincial parks and beaches in PEI. The 360-acre Cabot Beach Provincial Park is the largest park in western PEI. You will find that Cabot Provincial park and beach to be much less busy then many of the other island beaches. Your cottage is a short walk (less than 500 meters) or drive if you prefer, to Cabot Beach. The provincial park as you would expect is free of charge to use and is equipped with great facilities including; showers, fabulous playgrounds, excellent walking trails (along the forest and oceans edge), onsite lifeguards, and did we mention the spectacular beaches? The beach, sand bars and ocean are great for building sand castles, exploring, cooling off, long leisurely beach walks and of course relaxing. Malpeque Wharf: Nearby the cottage (less than 300 meters) is the Malpeque wharf which is located at the entrance to the Cabot Beach Provincial Park. The Malpeque wharf is home to a fresh seafood market, an excellent seafood restaurant and deep sea fishing. The restaurant is the “Malpeque Oyster Barn” (the mussels, oysters and strawberry shortcake are highly recommended, the rest are fantastic, but these are spectacular). Also at the Wharf is deep sea fishing via “Dales Deep Sea Adventures”. Close By: Nearby (4 KM) at the “Malpeque Bay Kayak Tour” company are rentals and tours for; kayaks, standup paddle boards and bicycles. You are also close to the town of Kensington (10 minute drive) for any addition amenities (groceries, restaurants, drug store, liquor store, gas stations, banks and much more). We highly recommend Mary’s Bake Shoppe and the Frosty Treat dairy bar in Kensington, both are must try locations!!! If you are up for a little scare the haunted Mansion in Kensington is lots of fun !!! Other Things to NoteNote: As we are just entering the rental market (many cottages are rented out a year in advance) we are offering up this cottage at a fantastic under-market price. Northern Knights is a beautiful 3 bedroom cottage just steps from the beach on Prince Edward Island, Canada. We have earned a three-star rating from Canada Select. Located in Green Gables Shore (Queens County), this cottage was completely renovated in 2011. Formerly one of "Murphy's Sea View Cottages", this spacious gem is nestled in a small group of cottages and overlooks the ocean. Conveniently located in north central PEI, the cottage is a short drive from Kensington and Summerside and is close to shopping, dining, and attractions. Whether you want to visit Avonlea and walk the beaches of Lucy Maude Montgomery, learn Celtic dancing, take the lighthouse tour, or feast on PEI mussels and lobsters, Northern Knights is the place to stay. Northern Knights underwent a complete facelift in 2011. We began by adding a third bedroom that faced the sea. The new bedroom has great views through its picture window along with a smaller window on each side wall. Each of the other bedrooms also received new windows, making them brighter and compliant with Provincial fire codes. We removed the old wood burner and replaced it with modern propane heat to take the chill off on a cool summer evening. We expanded the kitchen by installing all new cabinets, countertops, and a breakfast bar. And we brought it into the 21st century by adding a dishwasher, a stacked washer/dryer unit, and a water filtration system. And what would a new kitchen be without a new bath?! We replaced the toilet, sink, vanity, and flooring. All of the additions necessitated upgrading the plumbing and the electrical system throughout. We finished with new flooring, a new ceiling treatment, a fresh coat of paint, new furniture, and all new curtains, linens, and bedding. Flat screen TV and Internet video streaming are new for 2014! View our photos at our web site and imagine yourself strolling on the beach, frolicking in the ocean, or sitting on the deck watching the sunset over the sea. And finish the day as the northern lights rise in the night sky over Northern Knights. We are proud supporters of SHRINERS HOSPITALS FOR CHILDREN - CANADA http://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/Hospitals/Locations/Canada.aspx Northern Knights Sea View Cottage is located on a former farm. It is 200 meters from a beatiful red-sandy beach that stretches for kilometers east and west. One can clearly see the ocean and can both hear and see the lobster boats in season. While public transportation is not avialable, the cottage has a two-car driveway and is a short drive from Kensington and Summerside and is close to shopping, dining, and attractions. You can visit Avonlea and walk the beaches of Lucy Maude Montgomery, learn Celtic dancing, take the lighthouse tour, go deep-sea fishing, golfing or feast on PEI mussels and lobsters. Charlottetown, the provincial capitol, is 45 minutes by car. The cottage is located less than 30 minutes from Cavendish, site of the famouse Cavendish Music Festival held in July. There are approximately 35 widely-spaced cottages in the area.

In early summer, violet and pink lupines burst into blossom in waves along the roadsides. Along the north shore nearly every bend in the road reveals a glimpse of the magnificent Gulf of St. Lawrence, a secluded cove or meandering river. There is no place on this Canadian Prince more than ten miles from the sea. This unique Canadian island is well known for its stunning color schemes, white and red sand beaches that stretch for miles, red clay cliffs hugging the shorelines, sparkling blue waters, Kelly green meadows of grass and fields of freshly tilled umber soil. Sunset on Prince Edward Island The appeal of this part of the island is its seclusion and invitation for discovery, while still having close proximity to all of the best activities. Remember it is the country’s smallest province. Here, when the sun goes down, the night life is the ocean waves, the sea wind swaying the dune grass and the night birds dancing just above the water. Here the sunsets are nothing less than stunning. It’s as if the sun saves its best closing for this tiny island. Dunes Beach House has a private, secluded tan sand beach directly on the Gulf Of St Lawrence. There are multiple and varied golf courses and world class food within a very short drive.
