The modernised 1960's townhouse, located just off Studley Park Road, is light filled and looks into eucalyptus trees. It is very bright, clean and spacious, with beautiful aspects from every window. Surrounded by trees, verdant bush, birds and in a great neighbourhood, only 4 kms from the CBD. It has floorboards, sisal carpets and large windows. There are 2 balconies and a rear decked courtyard, a place to enjoy the morning sun.
The main guest room is a large downstairs room with a very comfortable double bed, ample storage, mobile wardrobe, large desk and access to rear courtyard on the same level. The living spaces and guest bathroom are on the level above.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with dishwasher and coffee machine!

The dining and lounge facilities are also very comfortable and a great place to relax, unwind and chill.
Commute by bus (bus stop across road) quickly and easily in to the city, Brunswick St, Gertrude St, Smith St and Lygon St.
Kew shops are 5-10 minutes away with Leo's Fine Food and Wine Supermarket on 'The Junction'.
Local café is 'the Boulevard', has great coffee, overlooks the golf-course / city skyline and is 5 minutes away.
Parklands are also very close-by as well as bicycle paths.
You are welcome to use our x2 18 speed bikes with helmets.

One of the BEST ways for us to create an atmosphere of interaction, is for guests to 'stay-in' for an evening meal, cooked by Craig, who is a qualified chef. Consider an evening meal for an extra fee of $15 (up-front). You will not to be disappointed.
Please check out our reviews, for 'dine-in' recommendations from previous guests. The NeighborhoodUrbane space in a unique green/leafy environment, close to Melbourne CBD. Getting AroundBus 200 and 207 across the road takes you to / from Melbourne Central in 20 minutes. Trams at Kew Junction 109 and 48 take you to Melbourne CBD. Train at Victoria Park connects you with our Metro train system. MYKI card needs to be pre purchased to travel on all modes of public transport.

INSTRUCTIONS to get to KEW SANCTUARY from MELBOURNE AIRPORT:
From Melbourne Airport, take the Red Skybus outside the International Arrivals hall to Southern Cross Station. (COST is approx. $18 one-way)
At Southern Cross Station, walk across to the Suburban Train Terminal.
You will need to purchase a MYKI Card (COST is $7) from the ticket booth. Ask the cashier to load the MYKI card up with approx. $20 for approx. 2-3 days of travel in zone 1. You need to touch-on the MYKI at the start & touch off at the end of each journey.
Once MYKI is purchased, take the Epping / Hurstbridge Line train to Victoria Park Station.
At Victoria Park Station, walk down the ramp and stay on the same side of the road (Johnston Street) as the station. DO NOT cross the road.
There is a BUS stop to the RIGHT of the ramp, outside a cafe named "Dr Morse". Take either the 200 or 207 BUS (approx. 5 stops) to the Hume Street Stop (no 138), which about 100 metres past Kew Sanctuary.
Depending on the time of day of your arrival, one of us (either Mark or Craig) can come to collect you in a car from Victoria Park Station. Daylight hours preferred. Other Things to NoteCraig is a chef and we love to include our guests at an evening meal, if desired, at a small additional cost. ($15 up-front).
We have MYKI transport cards for guest use, but ask that they be topped up to $10 credit when card is returned at the end of guest stay.
Taxi from Airport to Kew Sanctuary is between $65 and $70.
An Airport Pick-up can be arranged , at an additional cost ($40 up-front).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AIRPORT PICK-UP:
We ask arriving guests to send an AIRBNB message to us, the moment they get off the aeroplane to tell us you have ARRIVED.
Melbourne Airport has FREE WiFi.
The car journey from Kew Sanctuary to the AIRPORT is about 1/2 an-hour.
About 30 minutes later, when you have cleared customs and immigration, you will walk out into the arrivals hall and you need to walk out of the airport across the pedestrian crossing to the short-term pick-up area, opposite the ParkRoyal Hotel.
This area is EASY to identify, since you will see many people being picked up by cars driving in and out.
Just stay in the short-term pick-up area near the ParkRoyal and look out for the car.
It is a Silver Volkswagen Caddy VAN.
We will also track your flight, to see if it is on schedule.
