Our home was built in 1920 or before and renovated in 2007-2008. The décor is 1920's craftsman style traditional architecture with a coastal influence. We provide onsite parking for our guests. Our rooms all have queen size beds, double bed size hide-a-beds and a table and chairs as well as many other amenities.

Interaction with GuestsI am available by phone or text for any questions or requests. The NeighborhoodThis is a nice quiet neighborhood with very little car traffic. Lots of trees and a good-sized yard. The lake is nearby and Silverdale & Poulsbo are both a short drive away with access to just about anything you need. Less than 30 minutes to the Bremerton and Kingston ferries and 35 minutes to the Bainbridge ferry. Getting AroundParking is included and car is the best way to get around. There is a bus stop about 1-2 miles away and can be walked, though bus service is very light. Other Things to NoteTelevision with HBO Now, Ad-Free Hulu (+Showtime), Netflix, Chromecast and Amazon FireTV; no cable.

Great food inside or outside on dock with water view. Casa Mexico is 2 blocks away. Excellent Mexican cuisine provided by Carlos Ramirez. Keyport Naval Station Undersea Warfare Museum is about 4 blocks away. This is great for both adults and children, with many interactive exhibits. Keyport Auto Repair and small US Post Office are 3 blocks away. 10 minute drive to the charming Norwegian village of Poulsbo and 10 minutes from Old town Silverdale. 15 minutes from Suquamish Indian reservation, grave of Chief Seattle, museum, and casino. 35 minute drive from Winslow, Bainbridge Island and ferry dock. Getting AroundPoulsbo, located across the bay, is a quaint Norwegian established Village with charming shops and restaurants. It is pleasant place to spend some time with a waterfront park and marina. Try lunch on the waterfront deck at The Loft. Silverdale, a few miles to the south can meet any of your shopping needs with Costco, Home Depot, and the Silverdale Mall, etc. Check the internet for the wide range of restaurants available there. 35 minutes from Winslow ferry dock. 20 minutes from Bremerton ferry dock. Other Things to NoteYou will have access to the beach. 80 foot of dock is available. We are 1 block from public boat launch if you wish to bring your boat or kayaks or other water craft.

    The SpaceClark Island is truly unique. It is a great way to escape city life and recharge. Located on Island Lake, fishing, swimming and non-motorized boats are also available. With sweeping decks around the house, you can enjoy a meal or read a book while looking out over the water. The three story house allows for ample sleeping and living space. This is a great family vacation spot! Guest AccessYou will be able to access the entire .75 acre island. That includes, water craft, house, decks, docks, Cousin Camp guest house, swimming hole and camp fire site. Interaction with GuestsYou will be able to reach me via phone, email and occasionally in person. My family and I are local residents and will be nearby for any last minute needs or questions. Getting AroundClark Island is one hour from downtown Seattle and just 25 minutes from the Bremerton Ferry which will connect you to hundreds of Pacific Northwest locations. Other Things to NoteThere are several sleeping options available. A king size bed is located in the master on the third floor. A full size bed is located in the library room on the third floor. A queen size blow up mattress is located in the loft, on the third floor. 4 twin size beds are located in the kid's room on the first floor. Multiple couches are also available. Our 'Cousin Camp' is also now available! This guest house is located near the main house. It has a full bed located in the loft, and a bunk bed on the main floor. It is much smaller than the main house, its used primarily as a place to sleep. It does have a environmentally friendly bathroom inside but, no running water.

        The SpaceThe space is a fully furnished, "Mother in Law" Apartment in a daylight basement downstairs**. Included is access to the backyard, deck and BBQ during your stay. Our home is older, not a modern style or a hip design yet it is a safe and clean space with all the amenities you could need and more. We are NOT able to accommodate requests with children under the age of 13 at this time due to safety, the backup heat source in the Apt. is a wood stove. We can NOT make exceptions. The Apt. has a separate entrance with one large bedroom and a new Queen bed, full kitchen, huge bathroom and large living room in a private space. For those booking more than 2, additional beds are air mattresses and/or couches in the private living room. Air pump and bedding provided. These can also be set up in advance, with notice, for those arriving later in the day. Just ask, we are happy to help out during your stay. Please understand that booking with children 13-18 means including in them in the booking accurately, per persons, there is extra laundry & cleaning to consider for us. A full appliance stocked kitchen in the private apt. *IS* ready for use, full fridge, stove/oven & microwave. The Apt. kitchen is stocked with all the cooking & serving utensils you will need, you bring your favorite foods, there is shopping in Silverdale & Bremerton nearby. As Hosts we may not serve food without a county permit. Please keep all dishes washed and stored as well as food and garbage storage during your stay, thank you. The large living room in the apt. has a wood stove for back up heat, or a cozy movie on a flat screen TV with DVD player (no cable TV downstairs). A selection of DVDs are available (upstairs & downstairs collections), plus all ages games and books. There is a huge bathroom (shower/tub) with a large hot water heater for just the Apt too. A portable massage table with sheets, candles, lotions, soft robes and foot spa are available for adults to to relax during your stay too. There are lots of maps on the walls and plenty of tourist pamphlets for you to explore our Olympic Peninsula, the Pacific Northwest and the many unique areas. Write a note in our Guestbook, plus add your mark/pin or write on our maps to share your adventures along the way with us too. The **basement Apt. bedroom & living room has a vent in each room for central heating and a heater for each room to keep any chill off. The living room has a heating vent but can seem cool to folks not used to the PNW weather. There are thermostat safe heaters for the bedroom and living room. The wood stove is ready to light with plenty of firewood to enjoy a cozy respite, or as the back up heat if power goes out, which is rare but can happen. *ASK for instructions to use woodstove first for the safety of guests and our home, please! In the summer this is the best place in the house to escape heat & sun too. It doesn't *always* rain here, contrary to the popular myth, we have amazing weather and great summers that are just a bit cooler than FL or AZ folks might expect, "moderate" is a word used often, while we consider it perfect of course. The main space upstairs, where we live and is available to enjoy as well including the living room with Direct TV on the big screen TV with BlueRay/DVD. This is our home we enjoy sharing with folks, when we are around. The upstairs not not allergen free, has two kitties and is not child-proofed. A Large deck and 2+ acre backyard is ready to help you relax or have your own BBQ under the trees. Outdoor recliners and a gazebo for a shaded nap if you need it too. Plenty of space. The kitchen upstairs is available for food storage and additional cooking by guests. We may not provide food or cook for you (without a county permit) but you are welcome to use the cooking space & BBQ as you like. **This is a basement Apt., please be aware it is cooler than the rest of the home and that we do not live in the Apt. space. The space is not kept at a living temp year round but pre-warmed for guests arrival and easily kept at your ideal temperatures with the room heaters. The space is kept clean and re-cleaned for all arriving guests. Although it is a tad out dated in design, it is our home of nearly 20 years where we raised our kids that have kids of their own now. We are in the process of updating the Apt. as we can, so please be kind in understanding this is not (nor planning to be) a swank, posh hotel or full serve traditional bed & breakfast, this is our home we share with family and guests. We are glad to be able to share our home with those we host. Guest AccessAfter check in there is a key for direct access to the space with single car parking nearby with plenty of motions lights for safety at night. The main (upstairs) kitchen, dining room, living room, partial bath and the deck with BBQ in the backyard are available to share during your stay too. Please ask in advance if you wish to have guests visiting, thank you. No overnight guests not included in the reservation. Interaction with GuestsWe are generally around, more so in the late morning and evenings. We respect your privacy and afford you the space you desire. We won't pester you, if you need anything simply ask, otherwise make yourself at home during your stay. We are around for conversation and to share information about nearby sights and travel. We have plenty of maps and tourist flyers, as well as maps for guests to use and share. Ferry schedules are here for those exploring to the east, towards I-5. Writing on the maps (politely) is great, we enjoy seeing where people go and are from. Pins, markers, stickers and flags are there to use. Special requests for guest occasions are welcome, simply ask us. Ideas such as a Romantic Getaway for 2, on your way to a wedding, visiting family, celebrating a milestone, or simply traveling through on your way to go hiking. *Donations are appreciated when requests may cost additionally. (specialty candies, flowers, candles, decor, etc) We enjoy making each guest(s) feel at home and treated with personal attention. The NeighborhoodRural with plenty of evergreen trees and lack of traffic/city noises. Minutes off highway 3N/S at exit 45b (303/E. Bremerton) 50 minutes from Tacoma, via the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. 90 minutes from Sea-Tac with mild traffic. 3 miles to Silverdale. 4 miles to E. Bremerton. 7 miles to Poulsbo. 70-90 minutes to Port Angeles and the Victoria, B.C. Ferry (Black Ball Ferry) Getting AroundPublic Transportation is not available near this location. It is 90 minutes to Seattle (Sea-Tac Airport), without traffic considerations...we are NOT an ideal location for commuters that work near I-5. **We are NOT near Renton, Kent, Auburn, Bellevue, Redmond, Federal Way, Everett, Seattle, Olympia, etc. Other Things to NoteThe driveway is dirt, in fair condition. Drive slowly all the way to the top of the driveway to see the parking lot with our cars and check in (bags can come in through the basement private entrance using the key). Plenty of room for parking, and private access & parking after check in. **The Apt. space is dander free, I simply can not accommodate aminals of any kind so as to avoid allergies, nor am I available to accommodate ADA, including service pets, needs at our home. This is for the safety of ALL guests I must state this policy. **We can NOT accept children under 13 at this time for safety of guests and home. The backup heat in the basement Apt. is a wood stove. We simply can not make exceptions. Thank you for understanding. **We do have 2 cats, upstairs only. Also a smoker (outdoors, upstairs only) Be aware if you have allergies, even though the Apt does NOT allow pets or smoking. If you are allergic or sensitive to either smell, or cat dander this may not be an ideal choice. Our one kitty is very loveable and will enjoy your company when you are relaxing outdoors.             Clark Island is truly unique. It is a great way to escape city life and recharge. Located on Island Lake, fishing, swimming and non-motorized boats are also available. With sweeping decks around the house, you can enjoy a meal or read a book while looking out over the water. The three story house allows for ample sleeping and living space. This is a great family vacation spot!
