Our home is located on a quiet suburban street but just a five minute walk to a vibrant new commercial district with cinemas, a wide variety of quality eateries, shopping and more. Search "Issaquah Highlands Directory" for a list of those close-by establishments. We have made many menus available for your selection. If you are feeling the need to relax and center yourself, there are two great Hot Yoga studios within 5-10 minutes (we have yoga mats and towels for your use). Or head the other way and find yourself wandering peaceful wooded trails (maps provided). Ride to World Class mountain biking at Duthie Hill Park via Grand Ridge Trail (seriously, search Go Pro videos of these rides. I feel like wearing a helmet just to watch them!) But when work calls, you have high speed Luxul wireless access plus real life access to all the major metropolitan Seattle employment centers too (travel times listed below). Keurig Coffee maker for easy on-the-go coffee or tea. An electric tea kettle and small fridge are in your room, plus refrigerator space available in the shared kitchen. My husband Andrew travels the State using AirBnB and we've vacationed as a family doing the same. We've set up our AirBnB place to address the wants and desires we have as business and/or pleasure travelers. The NeighborhoodIssaquah and our neighborhood, the Issaquah Highlands are located on Interstate 90 at the eastern edge of the greater metropolitan Seattle area. From here West, cosmopolitan vitality. From here east, wilderness tranquility. Our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home is set in a tranquil, cabin style, forest-like setting on beautiful Issaquah Highlands hill yet very near Park &Ride This bedroom is located at 2nd floor right next to the shared full guest bathroom/laundry room. There are many hiking trails and around the corner there is a shopping center which includes a Starbucks, local grocery store, dry cleaners, nail salon, movie theatre and a wine bar . YUM! Also within a 4 mile radius there is a Target, Costco, Golds Gym, many grocery stores and 10 times as many Starbucks... This is a pet friendly* environment as we have one very loving English Bulldog. *Limit 1 (one) pet allowed during your stay. Under 20 lbs. *Must have a kennel to avoid night time potty accidents :) You will love our peaceful and beautiful surroundings. We worked on Seattle's eastside and the property offers the best convenience, privacy and views. The log chalet has easy interstate I-90 access. Although a countryside oasis, you still have a full grocery store, numerous restaurants, world class gaming, and retail shopping close by. The log chalet which is on a private road also offers maximum privacy. Three hundred feet tall evergreens line the acre's boundaries to offer beauty, wildlife, and most importantly seclusion. The panoramic views of the Snoqualmie River with the Cascade Mountains in the background are unmatched. Serenity now!

    The SpaceA cheerful bedroom with a queen sized bed on our ground level floor offers views of the forest located fifty feet from your window. An electric tea kettle allows you to brew your morning cup of tea or coffee in privacy. Private bathroom has both tub and shower. Guest AccessAccess to your quarters is through the ground-level garage or a side door at the back side of the house. Covered parking is in the middle stall.The upstairs part of the house is occupied by Dave, Sara, and our chocolate lab Lucy. Our wrap-around porch has a covered veranda and a warm sun deck. Our campfire circle is an added delight with marshmallows and sticks to assemble s'mores. Whether you are hiking on our trails or nearby Tiger Mountain, Mt. Si, or one of the other dozens of great local hikes, our home's woodsy feel will allow your outdoor experience to continue. Interaction with GuestsWe love showing off our gorgeous haven in the Pacific NW, and will recommend places to eat, hike, bike, swim, camp and more, all over the region. We love meeting new people, but are happy to give you total privacy during your visit if that is your preference. The NeighborhoodWe are in a peaceful neighborhood where the homes are private residences and a few private horse farms located on their own five acres and tucked back from the road. Upon reaching our home, you would not believe that we are merely three miles from the Interstate. Relax in the solitude offered. The downtown Seattle is 30 minutes away and 15 minutes in the other direction will take you to some of the most incredible natural places in the Northwest. Other local attractions include the City of Issaquah with its numerous visitor attractions (such as the locally famous Salmon Days Festival, a fish-hatchery, Cougar Mountain Zoo and the Village Theater), restaurants and services and is a mere 10 minutes west of Preston. Ten minutes to the east is the historic town of Snoqualmie, home to fabulous Snoqualmie Falls and adjacent four star Salish Lodge. You can visit the rail cars in downtown Snoqualmie with its antique train museum. The Premium North Bend Outlets Mall similarly is just a few more minutes east. Getting AroundHaving a car (or driver) is necessary as local bus service to Preston was cancelled recently. Other Things to NoteWe have a chocolate lab, Lucy, and two young cats, Minerva and Arthur. We welcome dogs, but we charge a $20 fee. You must bring your own dog bed, or use the kennel we provide. One more note, our internet service is extremely slow due to living in a more rural location. Basic functions are available, however downloads or streaming are very limited. There are a number of coffee shops and libraries close by that offer free wifi.

Guest AccessYou will have access to your room (on second floor), a dedicated bathroom for your room located just across the hallway, food corner and guest dining area located downstairs, treadmill (in family room). Note that we don't open our main kitchen for guest use but you will find bread toaster, k cup coffee maker, cutlery, filtered water cooler, microwave, mini fridge and induction cooker in the food corner dedicated for guests. Interaction with GuestsWe will be available anytime to answer any questions you might have during your stay via message and phone. If we are home, we would definitely open for a chat if you like. We would also give you the privacy you need. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is beautiful, peaceful and family oriented. It offers great proximity to the nature (15 mins drive to the cougar mountain park and many many trails and beautiful view, 30 mins drive to ski pass), however, it's still close to grocery stores, movie theaters and restaurant (and even outlet) to offer great convenience. Getting AroundYou can find street parking along Mulberry or nearby streets. Highlight transit center (bus to downtown seattle) is about 5mins drive away. Other Things to NoteWe have a friendly cat, his name is "Mr. Big". He is super cute and likes people a lot. He would definitely play with you if you let him. Be sure that you close your bedroom door if you don't want him to hang out in your room. If you don't like him too close, let us know and we will police him during your stay.

        The SpaceThe carriage house has a queen bed, full futon sleeper, desk and office chair, 3.5 cf fridge, microwave, coffee maker, 100 Mbps up/down internet service, table with 2 dining chairs, TV with HD antenna and Amazon Fire TV stick for streaming, and dresser and shelving for storage. The full bathroom is stocked with large Egyptian cotton towels and basic toiletries. There is natural light in the daytime with black out curtains for the larger windows at night. Guest AccessYou'll have your own private space above our garage with only one shared wall. The access to the carriage house is in our backyard through the back gate in the alley. During warmer months you may share our patio table and backyard with us. The main house will not be accessible so there are no kitchen or laundry facilities. Interaction with GuestsWe have a busy schedule so may not be available upon your arrival but you can reach us through text, call or email. We are happy to help you with questions and recommendations regarding Issaquah and the surrounding areas. The NeighborhoodThe carriage house is just blocks from Grand Ridge Plaza, Issaquah Highlands Park and Ride, and Swedish Hospital. There are many restaurants, a Regal movie theater, and shopping all within walking distance. There are also walking and mountain bike trails in the neighborhood. Getting AroundYou will access I-90 by car in just minutes. Seattle is 20 minutes without traffic but traffic does vary so you will want to use the internet to plan any outings and get traffic updates. It is possible to arrive at the Issaquah Highlands Park and Ride from Sea-Tac airport by public transportation. Other Things to NoteParking is available on the residential streets surrounding our house. Most guests prefer to park around the corner on the side street as the access is through our back gate in the alley behind our house. We are not able to accommodate animals and the carriage house has never had our animals inside (only our main house).

        The SpaceLarge private master bedroom with private bathroom featuring large soaker tub, large separate shower and double sink. The master bedroom has vaulted ceilings and takes up the entire space above the garage. It's a huge beautiful room. There is a nice couch/chaise lounge in the room to enjoy reading. This master bedroom includes a private large master bath you do not have to share. My rooms will appeal to guests that prefer a very high level of cleanliness. My beds linens are all white and are washed in bleach every time. Mattresses are encased in a protective cover, and also have a mattress pad protector, pillows have zipped protectors and pillow cases. All bedding including sheets, pillow protectors, mattress pad, all blankets, and top blankets are washed every time. Bathrooms are very clean. My goal is for you to have a beautiful clean room and a great stay! I am a female. I host females only. My home is an absolutely beautiful safe sanctuary. The NeighborhoodBeautiful walking trail around a lake 4 blocks away. My home is located in a nice private community in the suburb of Issaquah that features parks, 2 tennis courts, 4 miles of absolutely beautiful walking trails, one of which leads to Starbucks. This scenic community features over 300 acres of open space, which includes a beautiful gravel trail through the forest that wraps around Yellow Lake, several ponds, 10 community parks, numerous parks, and 25 miles of nature trails (some of the trails are paved and some are gravel) Amenities include basketball and tennis courts and two heated swimming pools. Klahanie Shopping Center offers a grocery store, fitness center, medical services, shops and restaurants. Businesses in the shopping center at the other end of our neighborhood include: Subway, Starbucks, Thai Ginger Thai Food, Chan's place Chinese food, Hop n Jacks American food (burgers, salads, tacos), Klahanie chiropractic, Gas station, Wells Fargo Bank, Klahanie Fitness, Yoko's Teriyaki, Pizza take out/delivery and a grocery store. Just east of Seattle and Bellevue, and conveniently located on the I-90 corridor it offers easy access for commuters and close proximity to countless amenities. Historic downtown Issaquah is minutes away, with its selection of restaurants, shops and services. Lake Sammamish and Issaquah’s Lake Sammamish State Park are a short drive, as are winter ski areas. Getting AroundIt's probably best to have a car but its possible to get around by bus. It's a few blocks to walk to the bus. There are 2 park and rides. My home is in the suburbs 30 minutes from Seattle. My home is located 2.5 miles from the Issaquah Highlands Park and Ride. The Microsoft Connector free bus conveniently picks up at that location if you are employed with Microsoft. Other Things to Note(I host females only) I am a female and I have one child who is now 21 and lives on his own. I do not do any drugs and I do not host guests that do, not even medical marijuana, my home is a non-smoking home, very light occasional drinking- as in occasional glass of wine. I host females only. You can hear classical music, enjoy art by local Seattle artists on my walls, enjoy floral bouquets, and the Dave Mathews band playing occasionally in the background since I am a fan.

Minutes from Costco HQ, Bellevue and a short bus trip to Seattle. The views here are great and so is the neighborhood. Secure access to unit and dedicated parking in secured indoor garage. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Secure indoor parking in building.

Rooms are 'Jack & Jill' style with bath adjoining; ideal for having parents in entry bedroom with children safe and comfy in adjoined 'inner' room (away from exterior doors)! **NOTE: Other than different entries and their own distinct décor, each room is amply furnished and offers its own lovely space and charm. Understand that when rooms are booked separately, they will be booked based on my booking calendar as best suits each room's availability ease. Unless specified by guests, one bedroom will not be preferred over the other in booking. So, if you particularly like one bedroom over the other ('Sunshine' over 'Seaside', for example!), be sure you request your room preference when you first book! Always growing and thriving! All new shops for anything you need, varied & tasty restaurants (for intimate dining as well as family affairs), new cafes for a lingering cake & coffee, . . . even our own neighborhood multi-plex Cinema! Great schools which is always a tell-tale indicator of the kind of community you are living/staying in. The Highlands particularly are a very safe and inviting place to be! Add to this that Issaquah is super convenient if you want to make it your 'home base' for further exploration of the greater Seattle area. Seattle is a 20-minute drive from our house; Bellevue only about 15 minutes away. Of course, the Winter Sports (snow sports) are also very near with the Snoqualmie Mountains just down the road from us. Lots of cycling, hiking, and an endless amount of trail-walking to explore the area. Neighborhood parks (with children's playgrounds) are found every couple of blocks here in the Highlands. ***Noteworthy: Issaquah Highlands is also recognized and becoming quite distinguished in the United States as a very progressive GREEN community! Read up on it! Getting AroundPublic transportation is so convenient from Issaquah. A 6-year-old could probably manage the bus system here; it's so safe and simple! My older sons ride the buses all the time and I don't worry about their safety or complications with connections. Completely safe and easy! There is a nice, new, safe Park & Ride for commuters into Seattle or Bellevue just down the hill from us. This whole Issaquah Highlands neighborhood is set up to be super 'User-Friendly' and of course safe. Key word: *Convenience*!! Other Things to NoteI don't know of any other areas to note, other than asking that each guest please read my attached 'House Rules' before booking a room in our place. I am quite friendly and flexible in most every way, but for the safety and well-being of my children, I expect a certain standard of guest and a certain standard of behavior while any guest is staying in our house.         Whether you are in-between permanent homes or here on vacation, this spacious home feels welcoming from the minute you open the door. Many of our guests exclaim 'I can't believe this is a RENTAL home - its just so nice!' It features new hardwoods throughout both floors, a new master bath, all new high end appliances. The upper level offers a Master bedroom with King bed, walk-in closet, ensuite bath with new shower and large soaking tub. A full bath in the hall, a queen bedroom and a full bedroom completes the upstairs. A 4th bedroom on the main floor bedroom doubles as an office/guest room with a desk and trundle. Large living room can be used as playroom or as a second office with the desk set into the bay window alcove. Ample dining room seats up to 8.
