The SpaceArrive and check in. There is a combination code to the front door which you will receive prior to arrival. The spacious bedroom has a queen bed, computer desk, comfy chair. The large bathroom has a sunken soaking tub and walk-in shower. Weather permitting, a lot of time can be spent through the door out to the patio, enjoying Arizona warmth. Enter from attached garage through semi private entrance to suite. A washer and dryer is available, kitchen privileges and a back yard with barbeque Guests are enjoyed. I look forward to sharing breakfast with them or just cooking it for them. My neighborhood is the prettiest one in Kingman. It is also well located close to downtown but also at the edge of town (because Kingman is not that big!) After a days drive, one can take a stroll around the neighborhood, it is safe, clean, peaceful and quiet. No public transit. A car is necessary to get here and to get around. Kingman is a unique small town located in the high desert. Hiking opportunities abound. While there are not a lot of dedicated biking lanes, there are great destinations to get to by bicycle. Kingman's downtown area is quaint, not too commercial and has history if one takes the time to explore it. Guest AccessKitchen privileges if guests want to cook. Leave it like you find it a must. There is a barbeque in the yard. Entrance to suite wing is from attached garage. Interaction with GuestsI may cook breakfast if I am available. Otherwise coffee and tea are provided. Visiting depends on whether the guests desire company or prefer solitude. Sometimes I am traveling and you may have the house to yourself. The NeighborhoodThis is in one of Kingman's nice and well located neighborhoods. It is a mile from Historic Route 66 and 2 miles from the old downtown of Kingman with its local bars, restaurants and museums. The neighborhood has sidewalks and a stroll around it can relieve the stress of a day's travel. Getting AroundNo good public transit exists. If you are travelling with your bicycle, it can get you wherever you want to go. Otherwise a car is a must. Other Things to NoteMy home is centrally located and fairly easy to reach from I-40 in either direction. It is in a safe, clean and quite neighborhood. Reservations are kept to three months out or less as my life changes and I do not like having to cancel for any reason.

The SpaceWedding packages include 40 acres of pristine land with a backdrop of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. You can also chose to bring your friends, we have 8 other cabins, see links below. Planning to Elope: Choose any of our romantic cabins for a two day getaway and we'll include Flowers, a Cheese Plate, Crackers Champagne, and Chocolates upon arrival. On your wedding day we will provide you an Interfaith Minister, two witnesses, one hour session with a Professional Wedding Photographer, Flowers (1 bouquets and 1 boutonnieres), and a CD of all your photos. Cake and Champagne Reception for two. Price: $900.00 plus a two night minimum reservation in any room. (We recommend the Artist's Retreat honeymoon cabin). If you choose to bring friends, we have 9 cabins from 3 bedroom and several outside or inside places where you can celebrate. Our open barn is 1600 sq ft and we also feature a 500 sq foot dining area in the old San Cristobal Trading Post. Both are perfect for dancing, the reception, cocktail party or a wedding dinner, depending on the size of the event or wedding party. The lodge and barn is also a perfect space for workshops, small conferences, retreats and multi-family events. All cabins have their own fully equipped kitchens. If you prefer not to cook Taos is full with gourmet restaurants and we are more than happy to assist you in finding or recommending a caterer if you prefer. Taos Goji Eco-Lodge and Farm Retreat is located at Taos Goji Ecolodge, an historic property with ten renovated cabins and a 5-acre goji berry farm located on 40 acres in San Cristobal, NM. Some of the cabins were built at the beginning of last century, originally for sheep herders. Aldous Huxley lived and wrote in one of the cabins and also built our outhouse that is still intact. We found water colors by D.H. Lawrence and letters between Frieda and the publishers were in the trading post attic. Later, Elizabeth Kubler Ross and Ram Dass stayed here. Taos Goji and its surroundings are rich with history and beauty! We are located in San Cristobal, a small village of about 200 families surrounded by national forest and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. It is a great place for hiking, mountain biking, fishing, snow shoeing and cross country skiing. We raise organic goji berries and chickens on the farm. In the summer we keep lambs and small goats. Fresh veggies and eggs are available seasonally, usually in exchange for a little weeding or a good word. The land has creeks, ponds, aspens and cottonwood trees, flower gardens, stone paths, goji, raspberry, and apple trees. Everywhere there are great views of the mountains. Our place is also a bird sanctuary and a couple of dedicated bird watchers counted over 100 different species recently! Our historic cabins offer a great country retreat for writers and artists, couples who seek a romantic getaway, weddings and elopes and families who would like to experience life on the farm. It is also a wonderful place for solo retreat. Expect to get away from the modern life. Some folks may be dismayed by the lack of city lights and the pervading silence at night. Our internet connection gets spotty during rain storms and snow. Depending on your cell phone provider you may have to walk or drive to the post office or up the road to get reception. We invite you to sink into these moments, listen to the wind rustling through the glossy leaves of the cottonwoods. Never fear for boredom at night - the stars outnumber your imagination. We're not a hotel. These are clean, rustic country cabins, a perfect place for creative individuals who desire a break from the bustle of civilization or to bring your children to appreciate country living. This is a place to get away from the TV and computer games. Don't panic, Taos is only 15 minutes away. Links to cabins: The lodge can sleep up to 26 people (included in event price). Guest AccessTaos Goji is located on 40 acres and surrounded by national forest, with plenty of space to wander. There is a playground outside for guests with children, picnic tables, hammocks, and a gas grill. During the summer, guests have access to our organic vegetable garden in exchange for some weeding or a good word. We also have fresh eggs from our chickens available seasonally. There are farm animals to pet and feed. A small laundry facility has a coin operated washer/dryer for guests. The sun and clean mountain air are both delicious and free. Interaction with GuestsInteraction varies by season and the particulars of our guests. Summer is a busy time on the farm and we have several interns helping with the gojis, vegetable gardens, and all sorts of activities. Some guests like meet up, join meals, hikes, and see what's happening on the farm. Others prefer their privacy. And we respect his. There's plenty of room for all of us. We have many artists and writers who come for inspiration and quiet. Winter is a quieter time and folks are usually on their own The NeighborhoodTaos Goji Ecolodge is in San Cristobal on 40 acres surrounded by national forest. San Cristobal is a small village north of Taos with about 200 families. There is easy access to nature, mountains, hiking paths, and rivers. We are 10 miles north of Taos, 5 miles to the closest hot springs, and 25 miles to Red River and Taos Ski Valley. Getting AroundWe would recommend that you arrive by car. This gives you the flexibility to explore the northern New Mexico's scenic beauty. The Blue Bus bus stop is about a mile northwest of the lodge but the schedule is limited. Twin Hearts Bus Shuttle Service provides a drop off and pickup to Santa Fe and Albuquerque airports. For parties larger than 35 we recommend a local bus service to bring guests to the farm. Other Things to NoteThere is a wood stove in each cabin, fully equipped kitchen and bath. The Eco-Lodge is now powered by solar and all cabins except the Artist's Retreat are heated by air heat pumps. The hideaway Artist's Retreat is heated by propane, electric heaters and a wood fire stove. Fresh organic eggs and veggies available seasonally. Cabins and tipis are cleaned with biodegradable cleaning products (mostly vinegar) and fragrance-free and eco friendly detergents are used on the linens. Our delicious drinking water comes from our deep wells. Most bedding is organic. And we recycle. Perfectly inbetween, we are 20 miles to Taos Ski Valley and 20 miles to Red River Ski Area. The lodge and farm remains a quiet, rustic getaway from modern life. There are ten cabins on the property, glamping venues, i.e. tipis and a bunk house plus a 1600 sq ft open barn, and a 500 sq feet log cabin that serves as an extra indoor event space. The land and contains a seasonal stream, two ponds, many cottonwood, pine, and aspen trees, five acres of goji plants, seasonal vegetable gardens, a greenhouse, fruit trees, a children's playground, flower gardens, chickens, goats and lambs. The land and its surroundings offer a host of quiet walking areas. Nestled in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, we are surrounded by the Kit Carson National Forest, which offers lots of walking or cross country trails. 10 miles to Taos, 20 miles to Taos Ski Valley, and 20 miles to Red River Ski Area. We are located in the countryside, which means lots of quiet and starry nights. Cell reception is limited, and sometimes requires a walk down the road. Fiber optics wifi is provided throughout the property, but can be spotty during rain and snow storms. We are not a hotel. There is no front office or permanent lodge staff. These are clean, green and rustic country cabins, a perfect place for creative individuals who crave a break from the bustle of civilization, a romantic getaway, or to bring your children to appreciate the wandering chickens, goats and lambs and country living without TV or computer games. Don't panic, Taos is only 15 minutes away!
