The SpaceCabin was completed in 2013 with wood shop and sleeping loft completed in 2014. Built with reclaimed lumber from 4 turn of the century barns. Truly a labor of love!
In the cabin there is a loft with fully linened new queen bed and linened full bed. Downstairs there is a pull out single sofa bed with linens. There are multiple air beds and the furniture can be moved around to accomodate the air beds. If you use the airbeds, you will need to provide a sleeping bag and pillow.
In the wood shop there is a sleeping loft that has 5 bunk beds (total 10 beds) plus 2 cots. Bedding is not provided so bring sleeping bags and pillows. The bunk beds are "old school" rope beds with a mat across the ropes. Surprisingly comfortable! At this point, the woodshed sleeping is not available during the winter.
Our kitchen is fully stocked with dinnerware, utensils, towels; etc.
Enjoy trout fishing, grouse & deer hunting, abundant berry picking, xc skiing, tobogganing, snow shoeing and hiking to nearby waterfalls. Cabin is on the bank of the N Branch of the Pike River, which Jay Ford Thurston in his book Spring Creek Treasures - Wisconsin's 100 Best Trout Steams, rates the N Branch of the Pike at #8 of the top 100. Guest AccessRustic setting with all the modern conveniences. There is a cabin list of things that you might want to check out. Many waterfalls, little lakes, rivers, and country restaurants are referenced in a cabin book. Interaction with GuestsYou will be on your own. The property will be all yours to enjoy!
