The SpaceRoost Cottage is a spacious, open concept bungalow with vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors and floor to ceiling windows looking out to the large property on Moore Lake.
The deck spans the lake side of the cottage and is a perfect place to sit and enjoy the view of the lake and the property which is surrounded by very tall trees. Roost Cottage is nestled in a calm cove on private land with 120 feet of beach front popular with small children, fishing enthusiasts, swimmers, birds and fowl.
Moore Lake is a fresh water lake, you'll see minnows and fish in the clear water from the dock. The lake bottom can be rocky and porous and a variety of sizes of water shoes are available in the hall closet for those who want to wade, not swim in. We are the only sandy beach shore on the lake which is great for small children. While the lake is at first shallow it gets deep quickly past the floating dock.
One canoe and 2 kayaks are included in the rental for exploring the lake and connected water systems. From our lake you have access to a vast area of little discovered, connected lakes in the Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands.
There is a new floating dock which is very nice for getting into the water and for star gazing. The large outdoor fire pit is amazing for cook-outs and roasting marshmallows (burning permitted 2 hours before sun set only). There is a screened in Gazebo with a couple of rocking chairs for privacy at the water's edge.
Inside, the chef's kitchen is expansive and well stocked. There is a BBQ available through sliding doors accessible from the kitchen.
The large, open concept living room has a Barrymore L-shape sofa, a comfy bean bag chair and a few rocking chairs for relaxing and taking in evening movie nights or sitting by the fire. We have a large-screen TV and hundreds of movies to enjoy, boardgames and a ping pong table.
The Bedrooms: from the living room, you have access to two bedrooms with a shared 3-piece bathroom. The two bedrooms in the front of the house share the master ensuite with 3-piece and steam shower.

For experienced Trippers, the Queen Elizabeth II park can be accessed from the lake. The park is 33,505 hectares in size and is one of the largest and least developed natural areas south of Algonquin Park. The park has a low rolling topography which is characterized by numerous rock ridges, including scenic cliffs and gorges, separating dozens of small lakes, rivers and streams. This vast area was once covered with forest and deeper soils prior to the logging era.
