PARKING: We have 2 private parking spaces, You can also park on the street free of charge. LOCATION: Kissonerga is situated between the beach resort of Coral Bay and the town and harbour area of Paphos. The coastal area of Kissonerga features several hotels, a couple of mini-markets, a growing number of shops and a small selection of eating places covering everything from meze style dining to dishes with a more international flavour. Local Shops (fresh Bakery, 3 supermarkets, 2 banks) and restaurant - 4 min walk. Bus stop - 8 min walk. Beach Lemba - 15 min walk, Beach Vardas - 20 min walk. Coral Bay is approximately 12 min drive away. Harbour is 12 min drive away. It’s a 2 min walk away – takes 20 mins via the old town. BEACH: We recommend the lovely municipality beach Lemba, just 15 mins walking distance. The main beach for the Kissonerga area is the sandy cove at Vardas Beach which is kid friendly and great for swimming, sunbathing and snorkelling. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available as are a small selection of water sports locally. Coral Bay is a family oriented area and boasts two sandy beaches. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available, water sports are on offer and there are beach cafés providing refreshments. TRAVEL: Although car hire is recommended to help you make the most of your stay, there is a bus service that connects Kissonerga with Paphos town and the sandy beach at Coral Bay, every 10-15 minutes. The bus station is 8 minutes walking distance form the villa. Its a 20 minute drive (15km) from Paphos International Airport, with direct flights from all major airports. Daily flights with EasyJet and RyanAir from the UK for good prices. Larnaca Airport is approx a 2 hour drive via the highway. WHAT TO DO IN PAPHOS? The coast line of Kissonerga offers several hotels, bakery, mini-markets, a bank, two coffee shops, a bookshop, florist, chemist, a couple of hairdressers, and more. There is small selection of cosy eating places, everything from meze to international cuisine. Paphos offer a variety of thing to do: You can spend your time enjoying the sun and the sea. Paphos is one of the few Year around holiday resort in Europe with blue sky and sunshine almost every day. Paphos is on the UNESCO List of World Cultural Heritage. The Tombs of the Kings is one of the attractions to see and many other historical views as well as old town. You can visit the Venetian fort and nearby Mosaics or take a boat trip. Enjoy SPA treatments or golf, or take a diving course. Sea Caves, views of the Troodos Mountains to die for, or why not take a car and drive around on the island and explore small villages. There is plenty to do and see in Paphos. SOME LAST WORDS: Bed linen and bath towels are provided. Air conditioning, central heating and electricity are included in the price. The villa is looked after by a local professional property management team who keep it spotless and well maintained and will arrange for check-in and check-out. We love our place and hope you treat it as well as we do. There is no smoking on the property. Please respect this rule. All we ask is that you please leave the villa in the same condition that you found it. Please note that there is a security deposit of 300 pounds to protect against any damages or breakages. Up to 2 additional fold away beds and/or baby cots (including bed linen and towels) will be supplied free of charge on demand. Interaction with GuestsWe aim to visit our guests on arrival in order to welcome them and answer any questions they may have. From then on, from time to time we are discreetly around for the general upkeep of the villas and we leave it up to our guests to contact us if they wish to.     Our 90 m² large apartment is painted in warm colors. It gives the impression of openness thanks to its high, angular ceiling. On the 15 m² veranda, there is a 6-seat dining table, and enough room for you to read on the recliner. The view upon your own garden seats with pool and exotic flora invites you to swim or to just relax. The living room has an integrated, well equipped kitchen, with a round dining table, situated next to 2 windows. The stereo system and the TV set have a satellite antenna with English, German and Swiss programs. The bedrooms are large, the beds are stable and they have orthopedic mattresses. In the built-in closet there is enough storage room. We provide you with bed linen as well as bath towels and kitchen towels. You only need to bring your own beach towels. Kissonerga is an ideal starting point for day-trips. The vacation apartment is located in a quarter with 1 family houses, in the village. The apartment has a quiet location, 100 m up the main street, in a side dead-end street. The beach is 800 m away and it can be reached on foot, on a side street. The well known Coral Bay is 5 km north-west. A few kilometers further, the Akamas peninsula, the biggest nature reserve in Cyprus, unfolds its large, isolated and deserted beaches. Kissonerga is a small village about 5 km north-west of Paphos. It is on a plateau about 200m above sea level and about 2km inland, with much of the village enjoying panoramic sea views. Today, Kissonerga is becoming more popular and has a more commercial appeal to retailers. The village still has a quaint feel and it is still a very traditional, Cypriot village. There are now some very good and modern restaurants, a modern pharmacy, beauty salons and coffee shops that serve both locals and expats. Kissonerga also has a horse riding center as well as boat yard that fixes, sells and services all sorts of boats. There are also plans for a multi-million Euro marina that is planned for Kissonerga Bay which will surely help the economy and increase the population of the village. Kissonerga first began a little farther north of the current village where you will find the site of a rare settlement from the Chalcolithic period. The site is important because evidence suggests that a powerful fertility goddess was worshiped there. She was believed to have protected children and babies. A well furnished ,secure and spacious 1 bedroom apartment on the top floor of a 5 year old development. The development has it's own swimming pool on the lower level where sunbeds and parasols are provided and a lift to all floors. The apartment has a wide terrace facing directly West - great for sundowners- with uninterrupted panoramic views of the coastline and hills to the north. night-time views are especially romantic. Both the living area and the bedroom have sliding glass patio doors that open directly on to the terrace giving you a lovely view to wake up to. The apartment is situated on a hillside , just below Kissonerga Village. From the terrace you can see Vardas beach . Lemba Beach a small sandy beach with its sunbeds for rent and a bar. You can see Lemba beach just to the left approx 1k away. Or there's Kissonerga's quite beach with just you the sun and sea is in the other direction. There's also the famous and lively Coral Bay beach some 5/10 minutes drive. A car would be very useful because there is so much to see in and around Paphos ,not to mention the other areas of Cyprus. However there is a regular (Cyprus regular!) bus service from the main road, with buses to Paphos town, Harbour and Coral Bay. There are also plenty of taxi services in the area. Kissonerga village, with an English speaking bar 'Julies' with good English & Cypriot breakfasts and free Wi-Fi access. Tweedie's is a good quality restaurant close by, both less that 1km away. Within easy walking distance, in fact you can see them both from the terrace, are Vardas Beach & Taverna and Harmony Restaurant. The villa was completed in July 2002 and it is built in a big plot of land full of trees and other plants. On the first floor you can find the three bedrooms. The first two are twin and the other one is double. The double bedroom includes it's own bathroom with toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, dishwasher, freezer, oven and anything you may need. The sitting room , dining room, the kitchen and a bathroom are on the ground floor. On the the second floor you can find the main bathroom and the three bedrooms (one double with bathroom and two twins). You can enjoy the wonderful view to the sea from our verandas and swim, have fun and enjoy the sun at our big swimming pool. The village itself is situated just off the main Tomb of the Kings coastal road which is a 10 mins stroll away, here you will find a supermarket a couple of bars and some restaurants along side a number of hotels. You will also find the bus stop here which will take you to Coral Bay and its blue flag beaches one way and to Paphos Harbour the other, along the road you will find numerous bars, restaurants, supermarkets and any other service you may need such as banks. In the village itself there are supermarkets, a bank, an English hairdresser, a pub called the Village Inn, a church, sports pitch and a pharmacy. The local sandy beach is just over a 10 minute walk away through banana plantations. Coral Bay with its 2 blue flag beaches is a short drive or bus ride away along the coastal road and has numerous shops, bars and restaurants.
