Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire complex. The complex has a fully equipped gym, 25m lap pool and large sauna. The Tooronga shopping centre is directly underneath the apartment building and has an amazing flagship supermarket (Open until midnight every night), over 25 speciality stores, including a butcher, greengrocer, bakery, a variety of cafe's and restaurants. The complex also has shared landscaped gardens which includes a shared herb garden. Interaction with GuestsI am more than happy to show guests how to access the apartment facilities and give a tour around the complex. I'm also here if you need any tips or help regarding the area. I've lived around this area for almost my entire life so I know it pretty well. If you'd like to explore and discover it for yourself, that's absolutely fine too! The NeighborhoodThe apartment is located on the edge Glen Iris and Malvern. It is an upper class suburb with beautiful streets to walk around and many parks. Chapel Street, which is one of Melbourne's most famous nightlife and shopping strips is about 5km down Toorak Road. Also the biggest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere, Chadstone, is about a 10 minute drive on the Monash Freeway. Visitor parking is free and secure for your entire stay. You will be given an access code before your arrival and instructions (with photos) of how to reach the visitors carpark. The apartment can be found just off the Toorak Rd exit of the Monash Freeway (M1). The Monash freeway takes about 6-8 minutes to get to the city. A taxi from the airport will cost approximately $60. If you are into bike riding or running, this apartment is about 200m from the bike path that turns into the Capital City Trail. Which is a bike path that snakes directly into the Melbourne CBD. The apartment also has secure bike storage. Getting AroundTooronga train station is a 500m walk (Tooronga Station is located on the Glen Waverley line). There is also the Burke Road tram line (Route 72) which is about a 600m walk from the apartment.

    The SpaceWe downsized to our brand new apartment 5 years ago and haven't stopped appreciating its convenience and excellent location. Only 1 minute from the Monash Freeway and 8 mins from city. Everything here is "on tap" from the in-house shopping centre, a range of restaurants, takeaway foods, 23 specialty shops and even doctors and dentists! For the health conscious there is a gym, indoor heated pool and sauna on the ground floor of our building. Our apartment has a main bedroom with queen bed, BIR, aircon, Flat screen TV and en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower, toilet and vanity. The second bedroom contains a single daybed and BIR plus a fully equipped office extension, including WiFi. The second bathroom contains a walk in shower, toilet, vanity and Euro style laundry with w/machine and dryer. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with Bosch appliances including gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave oven and pod type coffee machine. The dining/living area has a table for six and 2 settees, TV, aircon and sound system. The full width balcony commands sweeping views to the Melb City skyline plus mountains to the north. It has a table and chairs and a gas barbeque. A secure car space is available in the basement car park. The whole complex has swipe access and is very private and secure. We are on the border of Glen Iris and Hawthorn which are middle to upper class class inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne. This is our primary residence but we also have a beach home 1 1/2 hrs drive from Melb. We mainly relocate to the beach when guests are staying and if we can juggle work commitments. Guest AccessGuests will have total access to enjoy our fully equipped apartment and private amenities, including office facilities . Your expectations will be exceeded! Interaction with GuestsWe're happy to meet and show guests how to access the apartment and the shops/restaurants. We recognize that people like to have their privacy and generally prefer to work things out and explore for themselves. We have a very friendly community at Tooronga Village with activities in which guests are welcome to join. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood has leafy streets and a combination of period style and modern homes, with well maintained gardens. A feature of the area are reasonably priced international restaurants, eateries and funky coffee shops. The renowned Camberwell strip shopping centre with cinemas, speciality shops, fresh food market, cafés, restaurants and much more, is 15 mins walk or 5 mins by tram or car along Burke Road. Our apartment complex is on a Bus route to Chadstone Shopping Centre - Melbourne's largest suburban shopping complex. Lots of parks are nearby and a walking/ riding track leads to Richmond, the City and Port Melbourne. Getting AroundThe city is 8 mins drive away via the Monash freeway. The train station and trams are both within 10 mins walk. Other Things to NoteThis is our primary residence but we also have a beach home 1 1/2 hrs drive from Melbourne at Anglesea - on the Great Ocean Road. Our home is on the golf course, complete with kangaroos. We mainly relocate to the beach when guests are staying and if we can juggle work commitments.

It is in a very convenient location near shops, restaurants and cafes. Getting AroundGetting around Melbourne is a breeze with the city being only 20-30 minutes away by train. There is a a tram stop right on the street (1 min walk to tram stop) and walking distance (7 min walk) to Kooyong train station. Street parking is also available. Other Things to Note- There is cleaner that comes once a fortnight (included in price). - heating. - Please note: we have a small/medium size dog living with us. Very gentle and friendly. Does not bite. * 1 guest per booking only (no visitor(s) staying overnight please). * Minimum booking is for 1 week. * CANCELLATION: please refer to policy DOES NOT include: * No Kitchen. Guest AccessThe apartment is located on the second level of the two storey building - only six apartments. There are 25 steps with a couple of landings in between. Check out the photos so you can understand. Getting to the apartment is easy. It's between two freeways (5-10 min) if driving. From the airport it's approximately 35min via the freeway if driving or taxi ($65-90 taxi/uber). By train there are express options to Camberwell Station were you can get into the city in about 10-15 minutes. Camberwell station is connected to Lilydale, Belgrave and Alamein lines. From the airport you can get the airport shuttle bus ($18 per person) and train ($3.75 one-way per person) in approximately 1hr. Then there is the tram, with the tram stop 1 min walk away and routes 70, 72 and 75 available, taking you into the city in approximately 20-35 minutes depending on time and route/destination. The NeighborhoodIt is a lovely, leafy, safe neighbourhood, yet with still a great choice of cafés, shops and parks within 5 minute walk, whilst only being 15 minutes into the city from Camberwell Railway Station (offering express trains). The apartment is 5-7 minute walk to Coles and Woolworth's supermarket, the Camberwell Fresh Food Market, and Dan Murphy's Liquor Warehouse. Plus loads of great restaurants and cafés. The Camberwell area has over 100 cafes/restaurants and is only a short walk from the apartment. Getting AroundTRAIN: Camberwell Railway Station is a 7-10 min walk to/from the apartment. 10-15 minutes train ride to/from the City and Camberwell Station via train lines Alamein, Belgrave and Lilydale TRAM: Lines 70, 72 and 75 within 1 minute walk to a tram stop. Tram to the city is approximately 20-30 minutes.       The SpaceConveniently located with a tram stop right outside which takes you to Richmond (the sporting district) in 15 minutes and the city in 20 minutes. Set in a quiet block, it is an older apartment, not modern inside but is of a reasonable standard. The lounge area is spacious with very comfortable couches and you are spoilt for choice with the complimentary Foxtel pay TV. The bedroom is on the smaller side but does feature a chest of drawers and stand alone hanger. All linen and towels are provided. Guest AccessGuests are welcome to use anything in the common living area's of the apartment including cooking equipment, washing machine, wifi internet and pay TV. Interaction with GuestsI enjoy meeting new people so would be happy to interact with any guests and inform them about Melbourne as well as give some idea's of things to do whilst in town. The NeighborhoodHawthorn is a prestigious inner eastern suburb with lots of quiet leafy streets surrounding the well known hot spots of Glenferrie Rd and Bourke Rd. Both of these shopping districts offer a vibrant atmosphere and are peppered with popular cafes and bars. Getting AroundThere is a tram stop outside the pub a few doors down from the apartment block as well as Auburn Train Station 10 minutes walk away. I prefer the tram, it's more conveniently located and you get to take in more of the surroundings on your travels. Swinburne University is about a 15 minute walk away or a bit quicker if using the tram. Other Things to NoteThere is no dining area as such, I eat my meals in the living room which you are most welcome to do. There is on street parking available within a couple minutes walk of the apartment, it is not metered and there is no permit required.

        The SpaceEnjoy a tranquil stay in a magnificent garden with pool and spa, in a quiet suburb conveniently located close to the city centre. We accept a maximum of two guests only. Location Kooyong is a tiny sought-after suburb wedged between Malvern and Hawthorn, and abutting Toorak--one of Melbourne's most exclusive suburbs. We are only 7km from the city centre. Our home backs on to Kooyong Park and there is easy access to the city only 10 minutes by train, or 25 minutes by bicycle path all the way (bikes available). Amenities The modern Pool House is fully air conditioned and heated, and has its own private, separate entry. It is fitted with a smoke alarm and even has its own security system. There is unlimited broadband wireless Internet in the Pool House with optional direct plug-in cable connection. We also provide a wireless printer (Mac or PC) to print out plane tickets or correspondence. The bathroom has a shower (hairdryer provided) and there is a fully kitted out kitchenette with a two hob Miele gas stove, mini-bar fridge, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. There is an LCD TV with DVD library, two wardrobes and a suspended rattan chair. The two sets of concertina doors fold right back to enjoy the lush surrounds. We have just upgraded the bed to an extremely comfortable Queen size chiropractic ensemble. Quality linen is provided and additional pool towels. The Pool House is extremely quiet as it has been built of double brick with double glazed windows. We have a small friendly Cavoodle that is kept mostly indoors. For longer stays, we are happy to offer laundry facilities. Parking is not a problem--you can park right outside our house with our visitor's parking permit. The pool is only heated from December through to April, when there is consistently warm weather, but you are most welcome to use the pool at any time if you don't mind the cooler temperature. However, we are happy to heat the jacuzzi (spa) all year round and there is nothing more delightful than a 38C degree spa in the middle of winter! Originating from the UK, we are used to having friends and family regularly come and stay with us and we take great pleasure in showing them our beautiful city. I speak fluent French and some Italian. If you are looking for a unique luxury stay in a private, tranquil setting but with easy access to the city, then come and enjoy the Pool House. NOTE: The Pool House is unsuitable for toddlers and young children due to its direct pool access within the safety fence perimeter. Guest AccessThe Pool House has it's own private, separate entry so guests can be completely independent. Guests have access to the garden pool and spa. Most of the time they will have this area to themselves, but occasionally at the weekend or during the holidays, they may find themselves sharing with the owners who may be relaxing with the newspaper or a good book! For stays of one week or more, we are happy to put guests' laundry through our machine as there are no laundry facilities in The Pool house itself. Guests have access to unlimited Wi-Fi and their own dedicated wireless PC or Mac printer. Interaction with GuestsThe Pool House has it's own private, separate entry so guests can be completely independent. Most of the time guests will have the garden and pool area to themselves, but occasionally at the weekend or during the holidays, they may find themselves sharing with the owners who may be relaxing with the newspaper or a good book! We enjoy chatting with our guests and pointing them in the direction of interesting local spots and eateries, but we are also respectful of guests' privacy should they prefer it. I personally meet and greet guests upon their arrival and I am always contactable during their stay. Please let me know what your special interests are as I keep up-to-date with the arts scene and what's happening in and around Melbourne. The NeighborhoodWe love living in Kooyong, a quiet, safe and exclusive suburb only minutes from the city. Kooyong Village is only a 5 minute walk to the end of our street--a strip of quaint shops and cafes providing anything you night need during your stay. There are several cafés/bakeries, an upmarket French restaurant, a Thai restaurant/take-away, a mini supermarket with bottle shop, newsagent, post office, chemist, milk bar and hairdresser. It is only a 10 minute walk to the monthly Booroondara Farmers Market off Auburn Road. The area boasts some of the best cafes in Melbourne and we are only a 10 minute drive to Chadstone-The Fashion Capital; the largest shopping mall in Australia. We are a few minutes walk to The Kooyong Tennis Club, Vision Australia, Scotch College, St Kevin’s College, St Catherine’s School and The University of Melbourne Hawthorn Campus. I have a list of favourite cafes and places to visit in the area, as well as the city, that I will share with you upon your arrival. Getting AroundWe have free parking available directly in front of our house, although we recommend using public transport for easy access to the city. The train and tram are both at the end of our street and the train takes you to the city in 5 stops, or 7 minutes. The number 16 tram goes to The city via St. Kilda Beach, and the number 8 tram goes to the city via the Chapel Street shopping precinct and the Royal Botanical Gardens. The number 70 stops at Melbourne Olympic Park and the MCG if you are attending the tennis or sporting events , and also passes through Swan street in Richmond which has all kinds funky shops and restaurants, The number 75 also goes to the CBD via Bridge Road and also stops at the MCG near Jolimont Station. Trams go by every 7-10 minutes so it is super convenient getting into the CBD. 20 minutes to the sports precinct and 25 minutes into the heart of the CBD.
