We are about 20 minutes from downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood and Universal Studios, 25 minutes from Six Flags Magic Mountain, and 40 minutes from Disneyland and the beach. The SpacePeaceful, charming, large 4 bedroom / 2.5 bath family home in an amazing location in Montrose, CA. The house is 2,220 sq ft. Recently finished a major kitchen and den remodel in the house, as well as a new landscaped back yard and large deck. New granite countertops, wide-plank hardwood floors throughout, an updated home theater room are just some of the brand new modern touches to this comfortable, lovely house. This is my regular home for myself and my three children at home. I rent it out when we are away on vacation. It would be a perfect place for a family looking to have a vacation in L.A.. Four bedrooms are upstairs including a master suite. The master bedroom has a queen bed, walk-in closet and sitting area. Two other bedrooms have a twin bed, and the fourth bedroom (the "pink room") has two loft beds. Extra guests can make use of the sectional couch in the family room as well as a blow-up queen mattress. Downstairs, there is a bright expansive living room, a formal dining room, eat-in kitchen, and a separate family room with a fireplace and an HD projector / home theater system. A back yard with a lovely large deck surrounds a huge oak tree, and is completed with a treehouse slide, BBQ area, and lawn. Other amenities: wi-fi, landline telephone, garage, laundry. FILMING AT THIS HOUSE - PLEASE READ: We get frequent requests to house to be used as a location for film shoots. We welcome inquiries for filming here but only under these stipulations: for film shoots, the rate is $500/day (24-hour period). Production insurance and a copy of the script are required. You'll find no traffic or parking stresses here, and lots of nature surrounding you at the foothills of the San Gabriel and Verdugo mountains.The house is in a wonderful location, only one block from famed Honolulu St, where you can walk to cafes, shopping, restaurants with outdoor patio dining, and Trader Joe's. The SpaceSingle family home is in a very safe Los Angeles suburb, located in the foothills just 12 miles from downtown Los Angeles and 6 miles from the Pasadena Rose Bowl. 2 furnished rooms available for 2 night minimum stay , weekly or monthly lease. Bedroom has a queen-sized bed with flat screen tv, chest of drawers, closet, private bathroom, tub/shower, private entrance to backyard. All bedding / towels provided. Second room has a large desk and daybed if needed. There is WiFi on the property. A small pet may be considered. Guest AccessThe living room is shared space and includes another flat screen tv. The kitchen is also shared space and fully stocked to support all basic cooking needs. There is a dishwasher, refrigerator, along with a washer and dryer. (2 loads of washing & drying per booking only ) Backyard patio is accessible with BBQ available . Interaction with GuestsProperty is owner occupied. The home has four bedrooms. There may be other renters / guests in the 4 bedroom / 2 bath home.     The SpaceIt's a pleasant private room facing the street, with a new AC. The place is healthy and quiet. You'll be able to recharge and explore the neighborhood, or visit different parts of Los Angeles. We're friendly and supportive. Each room has an AC. Guest AccessAccess to the kitchen (stove, microwave, fridge), dining, and living room areas. Flexible hours but respect of others resting after 11 PM is expected. Interaction with GuestsThere will be minimal interaction with me and other guest(s), since we use the place for rest and studies. We respect everyone's privacy and keep things stress free. You can come and go when you please, given you do it with consideration of others. The NeighborhoodOur eclectic Montrose neighborhood is safe, lovely, and friendly. Mostly doctors, lawyers, and entertainment professionals. There's a variety of restaurants & eateries, UA La Canada 8 theatre about one mile away, USC Verdugo Hills hospital, a local library, TJ's store, and other very cool places that are within a walking distance. Getting AroundAn immediate proximity to I-210 and CA-2. About 14 miles to downtown Los Angeles. Five-six miles to CA-134 (Glendale). Eight-ten miles to Pasadena (8-10 minutes by car). One mile to La Canada Flintridge. Public transit is available on the same street, a block away: At least 2 buses run on Honolulu Avenue. Ask me about new user promo codes for "taxi" Lyft or Uber ($20-$50). PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION INFO. Please, check the city websites for more information on public transit. The buses numbers 90 and 91 go to downtown LA. Takes about 1 hr. $1.75. To go to Hollywood Blvd, take bus numbers 90 or 91 to Broadway. Then catch bus 180 or 181 west. The latter two buses run 24hrs. They go to Hollywood Blvd and Vine Street, next to the Pantages Theatre. From there, you can walk along Hollywood bvld a few blocks to the Chinese and Kodak. Cost for 2 buses = $3.50. Other Things to NoteYou will be sharing this place with other professionals. We do take shoes off at the entrance. The Internet / WiFi is available only for legal use, i.e. no illegal downloads, etc. A detailed apartment guide will be provided with consideration of your length of stay.
