Little Grass Valley Lake has 12 miles of coast What to expect:La Porte Cabins - Cabin 4 Cottage caters to families or a group 2 or 4 adults and 2 or 4 children - Total 7 (URL HIDDEN) Porte Cabins is family owned and operated. This Beautiful rustic cabin is located in La Porte's downtown and with some mountain views. This 2 Story Cabin has two sleeping rooms up stairs with a Queen and single bed in one room, two singles in the other and one sleeping area downstairs with a single bed. Also two full size couches. La Porte Cabins, is an AMAZING getaway for couples and family's.Its wide variety of recreational activities both on and off the water, is just 2 miles away.. Your pets are welcome! La Porte's original name was "Rabbit Creek", is surrounded by the Plumas National Forest. Its a great place to get away from modern life and enjoy the pleasures of hiking, fishing, nature walks, mountain biking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling or just relaxing on the porch. The first downhill ski races were held in the La Porte area in the 1860's. In the Winter there's lots of snow for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. You can start your cross country ski, snowshoe, or snowmobile trip right out the front door of your cabin. In the Summer, Little Grass Valley Lake is just 4 miles up the road. There's lots of small streams and miles of trails to hike and fish or picnic by. The Pacific Crest Trail passes through this portion of the forest not far from La Porte. There's many historic town sites and cemeteries in the area. Some within walking distance and others within a few hours drive. You're in for a relaxing vacation in La Porte (population 26). La Porte is an old gold mining town first settled in 1851 by 49ers prospecting for gold. In it's heyday, La Porte had a bustling population of about 900 with 7 saloons, 3 hotels, 2 theaters, breweries and a large Chinese section in the vicinity of the China Alley of today. Each china alley cabin has a queen size bed a single size daybed and also another pullout single. They all have complete kitchens and bathroom. We supply everything so you only need to bring is your food and move right in. All the cabins are exceptionally clean

      Approx. 6,000 sq. ft . This large cabin is great for muliti family vacations or friendly gatherings. Located as soon as you enter town, our large parking lot is very welcoming, with plenty of room to park what ever you maybe towing. Hamburger trail, the gateway for quads and snowmobiles to make their way around town is right next door. What ever you maybe planning the lodge should surely be able to accommodate.

It has two sleeping rooms up stairs with a Queen and single bed in each room, and one sleeping room downstairs with a single bed. The 2 Story Cabin has the same ammenities as other rentals.       Located in the beautiful Plumas National Forest, 3 miles from Little Grass Valley Reservoir, a little over an hour above Marysville/Yuba City. The Historic Union Hotel Sierra Retreat Center has absolutely everything you might need for a large family gathering, reunion, company retreat or small destination wedding. We have 21 rooms, each with its own bathroom. Down comforters on all the beds and all your linens included. Our amazing gourmet kitchen and outdoor barbecue center , is fully equipped including excellent knives, high end pots and pans, and just about every kitchen appliance you can think of. We have a beautiful historic saloon/bar room, with a full under bar sink and refrigeration including an ice maker. Our saloon/bar room has a new shuffle board and dart boards. The dining hall/ media room has tables and benches to seat 50-60 people. The back of the building has a full length covered deck with hot tub, ping pong table, porch swing and outdoor heaters, and off the deck is a horse shoe pit. We also have a 5000 square foot lawn and gazebo area, with a raised platform/stage and separate bar area. The Union Hotel Sierra Retreat offers the perfect setting for any event you may be planning.
