Attached cottage one minute walking distance from Lachine Canal National Historic site. Simply beautiful for walking, jogging or biking. We have one spare bicycle which our guest are welcome to use. Also you will be able to access the Montreal metro and train stations in just 20 minutes by taking the bus in the corner of the street. Finally Lachine has everything a city must have in order to exceed visitor's expectations even the most demanding ones; open parks, open sports complexes, churches, historical places, museums, industrial city, supermarkets and shopping malls.If you want to stay in a city that it's safe, affordable and easy to go around then Lachine it's your choice. The cost of Pick up at your arrival and Drop off at your departure it's $25 Dollars round trip regardless the traffic, if you prefer to be transported just one way, then the cost it's $15 Dollars. - The easiest way to get from the Airport to the property by using the public transportation system is as follows; 1) Take the Bus 747, direction to Metro Station Vendôme. 2) Once in Station Vendôme, you will have to take the Bus 90 Est Direction St- Jacques. 3) Take off in the intersection provost and 6th Ave in Lachine. 4) Walk until 7th Ave and turn right. 5) Turn Left in in rue Sherbrooke and look forward for the intersection with 8th Ave, where the property it's located in the 795 building. (The total trip its about 1 hour and 20 Minutes and the cost should be no more than $ 6 dollars p/p) -You could also take a taxi from the Airport. La Maison Marlo is located in the beautiful waterfront district of Lachine (15 minute drive from downtown Montreal). Built in the late 1880s, the home was completely and tastefully restored in 2010 to reflect its rustic beginnings. This is a 1500 SF loft-style home on the second level of a two story building. The living area consists of a master bedroom, a second small bedroom, a large living room, kitchen, dining area and a bathroom/laundry room. A balcony sits off the master bedroom, and there is a 10 x 16' terrasse in the back with a gas bbq and sitting area where you can relax or watch the activity of the outdoor market across the way. When you enter into the home you are greeted by the beautiful 100 year old red pine which covers the 14 ft vaulted ceiling and far wall in the living room. The pine floors and moldings throughout give a cozy, cottage feeling to a city residence. A brick fireplace (gas) warms the entire area with the charm of yesteryear. The 13 foot L-shaped sofa includes a hide-a-bed for extra sleeping space if necessary. The kitchen is a chef's dream with plenty of granite counter space, a large well-lit island with its own wine fridge and stocked spice rack, and a 5 burner Bertazzoni gas stove. The heated tile floors and appliances are surrounded by 100 year old red pine cabinets and drawers, keeping the old charm alongside modern technology and lighting. A large window looks onto the market while you prepare your meals, and a long 10 man table waits for you in the adjacent dining area when you are ready to eat. In the immense bathroom you will find the steel claw foot tub which came with the home over 100 years ago. There is a separate walk-in shower, and heated floors (including the shower) will make for happy feet! The laundry area lies just beyond this room and provides some extra storage. The master bedroom is very large with ample closets and a balcony where you can sit to look down the street at the water and green of the canal area. The smaller bedroom is right beside it.     Great apartment for cycling adepts! Near a cycling-pass along the Lachine canal. Magnificent 30 minutes ride to downtown on a bicycle. In front of a bus station and a convenience store. Only 10 minutes away from downtown by car! Free parking available on the premises and in the neighboring streets. Near a marina and Montreal historic sites. Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. WiFi internet connection covers the whole apartment. Washing and drying machines are installed in the building. You will definitely enjoy the stay!

Reviews: Lovely condo! Lovely area! Enjoyed a very pleasant stay! The market directly across the street is filled with fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers. I also loved the fresh meat, cheese and bread market next door! Delectable cheeses and sausage, bagels and croissant! Lovely cafe there as well. Location does not get any better really unless you were situated directly on the canal . I walked every day along the canal which is a two minute walk from the condo. This area was vibrant with biker, joggers, and strollers. Very scenic indeed! The apartment is quaint and has an interesting history. I felt very comfortable there and would most likely stay there again. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit to anyone wishing to stay in the Lachine area. - Maison Marlo August 2015 Everything has been wonderful. I love lachine, old Montreal and this apartment. The NeighborhoodNous habitons dans un petit quartier charmant et super jolie. Nous habitons à côté d'un grand parc et sur le bord de l'eau ou se trouve de magnifiques restaurants Italien et Mexicain sur le bord de l'eau. Il y a de magnifiques terrasses et nous avons accès à la piste cyclable. Qui vous rend soit au Centre-Ville. Nous avons aussi un petit marché à votre disposition pour goûter à de nombreux produits Québécois. Un petit café, une crèmerie, une pâtisserie, bar, pharmacie, super marché etc. Vous pouvez vous rendre partout à pied ou en vélo. Et n'oubliez pas d'aller pique-niquer sur le bord de l'eau ;) Getting AroundVous pouvez en tout temps appeler un taxi pour vous rendre où vous voulez. Si vous louez une voiture, vous devez vous stationner sur la rue. Au coin de la rue, vous avez un arrêt de bus avec de nombreux autobus qui vous rend à un métro ou au Centre-Ville.
